Note: This is a spin on the movie "The Black Swan." It premiered in 1942 and starred Tyrone Power and Maureen O'Hara…*grins*

Warnings: Mean Duo but Heero likes it (just like in the old movies…. trust me *grins*)

Disclaimer: I don't own the characters in Gundam Wing and I don't own the movie "The Black Swan." *grinning*

Duo then turned and left the room. He made his way up to the deck and looked out over his crew. He then made his way to the upper part of the deck to look for the boat that was nearby. He found Quatre up there already looking through the telescope. He tapped Quatre on the shoulder. Quatre turned and handed the telescope to Duo.

Duo put it up to his eyes and looked at the ship. He cursed fluently when he realized it was Quinze's ship.

"Do you think he's seen us yet?"

"No, Quatre. I don't think he has."

"Shall we ready cannons?"

Duo looked down at his ship and crew and thought it over. If he battled Quinze's ship, who knew if he would win. And he might lose Heero in the effort.

"No, get the pirate flag."

"Cap'n?"

"You heard me. Get the flag and hoist it as fast as you can."

Quatre nodded, and went off to get the assigned task done. When the flag was flying high, he stood beside Duo again.

"Why?"

"I don't want to risk it. Besides we're carrying precious cargo."

"But that has never stopped you before."

"It is now. Besides do you want me to risk Trowa's life as well."

Quatre frowned and shook his head.

"Thought not. Come we must get ready."

"Ready?"

"Yes, they'll want to board us."

Quatre nodded and went about getting things ready. He then went below decks to his quarters. He met Trowa there while he hid more weapons on his person.

"The enemy is going to board us soon. I want you to have this," He held up a long serrated knife for Trowa to take. Trowa grabbed it and tested the handle. He nodded once and stowed it on his person.

Quatre raised an eyebrow at Trowa but Trowa just smirked. Quatre shook his head, "Follow me, I don't want those pirates to think you're a cabin boy or something."

In Duo's cabin, he was preparing just the same. He turned and regarded the still silent Heero. He sighed explosively and ran a hand through his bangs.

"Heero?"

Heero stiffened but still didn't turn towards him. Duo sighed once again.

"Look, we're going to be boarded soon and I want you to stay out of sight. I don't trust them not to hurt you. Here, take this and protect yourself."

Heero turned and was faced with Duo handing him a small pocketknife. He took it and looked over it while Duo finished dressing.

"It's the best I can do for now."

Duo wanted to go over and hug him but he refrained and left the room. Heero looked over the knife and smiled. Duo at least expected he could protect himself. He looked at the door and followed, curious to what was happening. He stood at the door that led to the deck and cracked it ajar slightly. He gasped when the door was flung open and the ugliest man he had ever seen grabbed him by his arm.

Duo stood on the deck once more and watched as Quinze's "The Black Swan" closed in on them. He hoped the pirate flag was enough to convince Quinze.
