She gripped the controls of her mobile suit, in an effort to contain her emotions. Instructor Treize was hurt, and she felt partly responsible. How could that kid have gotten so close. She, like all the other female recruits, used to have a small crush on Treize, but that wasn't the reason for her distress, she had gotten over that crush a long time ago. She was distressed because a man that she admired and tried to emulate was hurt and it was partly her fault. She had been on the lookout for troops, tanks, mobile suits, many things but had not imagined a small civilian boy to be carrying such a destructive weapon. Oh, Zechs I've failed…

Meanwhile, back on earth…

Father, I have failed you… my hands have been stained by blood. Now… I can't even touch my sister. I will not stain her too. Zechs closed his eyes in anguish, she had grown so much, he had wanted to hold her, to feel once more the warmth of her love. But she didn't remember him and he would protect her, even from himself. How many years had passed since he'd last seen his baby sister trying to walk, smiling up at him and extending her arms towards him wishing to be held? Relena… it will be up to you to fulfill our father's dream. Darlian guard her well.

Days later…

"Zechs!!"

Zechs turned around to see the worried face of his friend Lucrezia Noin.

"Oh, Zechs… do you know what happened?"

"You failed to protect Instructor Treize and he got hurt?" Zechs regretted his attempt at humor when he saw Noin's stricken face. "I was kidding for heaven's sakes! Everybody knows it wasn't your fault. Nobody is blaming you Noin. Besides he'll be okay, I'm sure his flirting with some pretty nurse right now."

Zechs was rewarded with Noin's smile. "Thank you Zechs, you idiot!" She threw herself and hugged him. Zechs was taken aback at this display, Noin had never broken the physical barriers between them, it seemed that she also needed the warmth of another human being. But he didn't care for the reason, he needed it and hungrily took what was offered and hugged her back.

That evening, it was Noin's turn to notice that Zechs was not himself. She tried to broach the subject with him, but he skillfully avoided it. So in true female fashion she went to catch some gossip with her friend, Elena. Elena was a veritable fountain of information and soon Noin had a grasp on the events that had apparently affected Zechs.

She realized, though others did not, the true reason for Zechs moodiness, he had encountered his sister. Noin considered whether she should confront Zechs or not. It was obvious that he needed to vent, and Treize, the one he would have normally chosen was not available. Well, its my fault Treize isn't here… he'll probably get a little angry when he realizes I know… it's for his own good. The decision made, she headed towards Zechs quarters.

Noin knocked on the door and overheard Zechs rushing about the room. Probably making for those stupid sunglasses! It annoyed her that he always wore them, even when they were alone. I guess he doesn't trust me either.

Zechs opened the door and was not surprised to find Noin. He had wondered when she would come to confront him about his behavior. In a way he welcomed it, even though he couldn't discuss the true nature of his mood.

"Well Zechs," Noin started as she sat on Zechs bed, "Wanna tell me what happened with your sister that has you upset?"

"What did you say?" Zechs hadn't expected this.

"I said, do you want to tell me what happened between you and your sister?" Noin enunciated each word as if speaking to a small child.

"How long have you known?"

"For a long time… Zechs… is okay. I hope that you know that you can trust in me."

"Noin, if I hadn't told you it wasn't 'cause I didn't trust you. It was because I didn't want to burden you with the knowledge. Someday you may have to fight against me."

"Never! I couldn't do that, besides why would I? We belong to the same army, last time I checked."

"Don't be obtuse Noin! You know that someday I will reclaim my rightful place, then I will lose this disguise… and I will not be Treize's friend anymore. The Sank Kingdom stands against everything we do."

"Oh Zechs!" Noin stood up and embraced Zechs, "I will stand by you, no matter what. I will be your friend forever."

Zechs placed his arms around Noin and tried to control his hormones. She was so beautiful and his need for love was too strong to control. She looked up at him and he couldn't help but to trace her face with his fingers. Her lips beckoned and he traced them too with his thumb. Noin parted her lips and her purple eyes darkened. Could it be that she wants me too?

Hesitantly, Zechs lowered his mouth towards her, fearing that she would back away. But she didn't, instead she gripped his shoulders harder and moved to meet him. Zechs kissed her lips softly while caressing her hair with his right hand and his left hand held the small of her back against him. Her parted lips where too much of a temptation and he deepened the kiss stroking her with his tongue. Noin pulled at his hair and returned the kiss, starting a lover's duel. Zechs left her mouth and wondered to her neck leaving a trail of kisses on the way. Noin moaned softly her encouragement while she tried to get her hands inside of Zechs' uniform, the need to touch his bare skin driving her. When she finally managed it and caressed him, it was Zechs turn to moan in pleasure.

"Noin… we have to stop now… or I won't be able to.. "

"No… I don't want to stop, I've waited too long for this."

Zechs stared at her impassioned eyes and gave in to the need that consumed them both.

Zechs kissed her deeply as the lifted her and gently placed her on his bed. He kept kissing her while his hands roamed her uniform in search of the buttons to undo her jacket and vest. When he found them he abandoned her mouth and placed small kisses on the bare skin he revealed after each button was loosened.

"Zechs, Zechs, pleease… I want to see your eyes…"

Zechs lifted his head towards her and slowly took the concealing sunglasses off. Noin gazed at his eyes in wonder, "Oh Zechs… why do you have to hide… your eyes, they're so beautiful." She caressed the face that had remained hidden to her eyes for so long.

"No, Lucrezia… it is your eyes that are breathtaking…," answered Zechs, placing small kisses on her eyelids, before returning to his previous mission of unbuttoning her uniform.

Zechs finally accomplished his mission and pulled the top of the uniform apart, revealing her lace covered breasts. He kissed them through the red lace and then removed the lace with his teeth to reveal her puckered nipples that seemed to beg the attention of tongue. He licked one while he teased the other one with his fingers. Noin strained against him, trying to rub her aching body against him. Zechs held her back while he tried to get rid of his uniform, but the boots weren't making it easy. He finally gave up and stood back to get rid of the impediments. Noin followed him helping him take his jacked off, while he struggled with the boots. After she had gotten rid of the jacket she rubbed her breasts on his back while undoing her pants. Zechs groaned his approval and managed to throw the boots across the room. He turned and helped Noin to get rid of her boots and pants.

They finally embraced skin to skin, both reveling in the pleasure of feeling the others naked body against them. Noin trembled with her need and Zechs with the force to control himself, he vowed not to hurt her. He kissed her again while his hands caressed her breasts, he lowered his lips once again to her breasts, while his free hand slowly caressed her ribs, stomach and finally the mound of her femininity. He softly teased her aching nub, making her moan his name, and strain against his hand. He dipped his finger inside her feeling her slick, warm, tight passage, and groaned himself. He had to enter now, his need was too great… I mustn't hurt her… her pleasure… she most have it… He went back to kissing her mouth, one hand caressing her nipples while the other continued to tease her nub. Noin froze for a moment when the pain of her barrier being broken startled her, but the pain was soon forgotten and the pressing need of the building pressure took control of her too.

Zechs tried to stop and give her time to adjust but she wouldn't let him, and kept bucking against him until he lost the last shreds of control and plunged into her hard.

"Lucrezia!"

Their instincts took over and the pleasure grew until they felt ready to explode… and they finally did. Noin screamed in pleasure, while Zechs kissed her trying to silence her, but the spasms of her pleasure where too much for him and with a hoarse cry he spilled his seed inside her.

They laid entangled listening to the beat of each others hearts.
