Weeks gone by but Barbara never said a word, not even how hard that they tried. Heero watched from the camera in the room next door just watching her, while Relena was getting annoyed with Heero since he almost never moved. Heero was also starting to get a little worried after the Doctors and other people trying to get her to talk stopped for 3 days just leaving Barbara in the room all by herself but she kept herself busy drawing on some papers that they have gave her. "Heero!" Relena whined "hn?" Heero muttered not turning to her "Come with me please!" she whined again "hn…" Heero replied knowing this pissed Relena off ever so much "Your impossible!" Relena yelled leaving the room making Heero grin to himself. After about an hour everyone went home for the night but as usual Heero was still sitting there watching but this time he seen Barbara look at the door to the room and backed up as far as she could away on the bed and looked scared. "Hn…?" Heero was confused and didn't see anything and put the headphones on to see if he could hear anything.

"Leave…me alone…" Barbara said while looking towards the door. "NO…" she said pulling her knees to her chest "Go away!" she yelled covering her ears.

Heero was shocked Barbara was talking, but to herself by the looks he had to investigate. When Heero opened the door and walked in he seen Barbara with her legs still pulled up to her chest with her eyes closed shut rocking "Leave… me alone… go away…" she said almost in a whisper. "Barbara?" Heero said walking over to her as the door shut automatically behind him. She never replied and kept rocking "Barbara?" Heero said again sitting on the bed in front of her putting his hand on her shoulder which made her jump and look at Heero "…H…Heero…?" she half whispered as she sniffled. "Yes it's me…" Heero said noticing that Barbara was now shaking "What's wrong?" he asked softly this time not wanting to scare her. "…T-They… want… t-to…" Barbara couldn't finish the rest and cried hugging onto Heero, which made him blink a little "They? Whose they?" he asked but knew he wouldn't get an answer from her and hesitated but hugged Barbara back trying to comfort her to get her to stop crying and to tell him who the "they" people are. Barbara sniffled and gripped onto Heero's shirt a little "I… I'm sorry…" "What are you talking about…? Who are these `They' people?" Heero asked "I… don't think you could call them people…" she said moving away from Heero and rubbed her eyes. Heero looked a little confused "What do you mean?" he asked "…I said too much…" Barbara said looking down at the bed. Heero decided to let it slide for now "How long have you been able to talk and understand what I'm saying?" Heero asked "after the first week…" Barbara said "Why don't you talk to the doctors?" he asked curious "There not worth talking too" she said with a small smile looking up at Heero which made him blink. "All this time you could understand us and talk…" Heero was cut off by Barbara's stomach making a loud growl making her blink "I didn't think I was that hungry…" she added with a small giggle. "I'm not surprised your hungry no one has given you any food to eat for these three days" Heero said standing up "…Why did they do that?" Barbara asked looking up at Heero who turned around to her pulling her up to her feet "They gave up on you talking to them, so they figured they would leave you alone for three days without food or human contact to see if then you would finally talk to them" Heero explained walking to the door holding onto Barbara's wrist "That's stupid…" she said making a face. "I told them that," Heero said opening the door with a small key and walking out of the room with Barbara "Um… Heero…" "hn…" Heero replied walking towards the kitchen type area "I don't think they'd like the fact that I'm not in the room" Barbara said looking around "They won't find out" Heero said walking into the kitchen and then gotten Barbara to sit down in a chair "I can fix something to eat…" Barbara said as Heero didn't listen or pretending not to and started to go through the fridge "Were you always in that tank?" he asked taking out some things to make a sandwich with. "I… I don't know…" Barbara said looking down at the floor. Heero decided again that night that was as far as he'd push her to tell him something.

Heero made a sandwich for himself and Barbara who looked at it for a few moments not daring to ask what was in it, but finally ate it after Heero took a bite out of his sandwich. "This is good… what's in it?" Barbara asked Heero after she finished the first half of her sandwich "Sandwich meat and what else I could find that I like" Heero replied finishing his sandwich "oh… it's way better then that shit the Doctors give me and called food" she said making Heero blink a little and wonder where she learned that swear word from. When they finished eating Heero brought Barbara back to the little white room. "I have to go now," Heero said sitting on the bed next to Barbara who gotten under the covers on the bed "Will… you come back?" Barbara asked "Yes I'll be back I work here now" he said getting up "and you better start talking to the doctors before they do this again" he added moving towards the door but Barbara touches his arm making him stop and turn his head to look at her. "Only… if you come in here too… please…?" she asked making a sad puppy like face making Heero get this weird feeling "I'll see what I can do" he said going to the door "It's not a promise" he added turning out the lights in the room "Ok…" Barbara said laying down on the bed pulling the covers up "Night Heero…" she added with a little yawn closing her eyes falling asleep. Heero closed the door and walked to the room next door to get his laptop and glances at the TV smiling a little before leaving the room.

As Heero drove home all he could think about was Barbara. How she could talk and understand what they were saying all of that time, but never said anything to the doctors. Heero sighed after he parked the car and leaned onto the car wheel "Why did she talk to me…?" Heero muttered before getting out of the car and walked into the house. After Heero put his coat away Quatre peaked out of the kitchen "Heero is that you?" he asked, "Yeah it's me Quatre" Heero replied taking his shoes off "Would you like something to eat?" Quatre asked, "I'm not hungry" Heero said walking past the kitchen "Anything else?" Quatre asked "No" Heero said walking up the stairs "oh… ok" Quatre said walking back into the kitchen. "Hey Heero! You came home later then usual" Duo said after Heero opened the door to there shared room "I was busy" Heero said going to his bed and sat down on it. "Oh really? What could you possibly be so busy on?" Duo asked raising an eyebrow at Heero. "Why do you care" Heero said annoyed picking up his laptop "I only care because Barbara is there at that weird place" Duo said. "You don't even know her how can you care?" Heero asked sticking in a CD into his laptop "Hey if Relena is keeping her in some weird ass place of course I'm going to care" Duo said annoyed. "fine…." Heero said. "Are you sill trying to get that CD to work?" Duo asked getting up and going over to Heero "It has information on what the Doctors were using her for" Heero said typing away at his laptop. "I bet only Barbara can get it to work" Duo grinned which pissed Heero off "Duo just leave me alone…" Heero said with a glare. "Alright then" Duo said raising his arms into the air and backed up "Good…" Heero muttered and kept typing and knew Duo was probably right, but didn't want to admit it… especially to Duo.

The Next day Heero gotten up as usual to get ready to go to the warehouse. Heero had just gotten dressed to leave when Quatre ran into the room "Heero!" Quatre yelled out of breath "What is it Quatre?" Heero asked wondering why Quatre ran all the way upstairs "Hurry you have to see what's on the news right now!" Quatre said pulling Heero's arm dragging him downstairs "Quatre what's so special about the news…?" Heero asked as Quatre dragged him into the living room "Look!" Quatre exclaimed pointing at the TV. Heero looked and couldn't believe what he was seeing. It appeared to be a Mobile suit of some kind attacking a warehouse with people with white coats on running outside yelling. The news reporter then appeared on the screen "I am now outside the warehouse building that seems to be getting attacked by this mobile suit! We are still not sure what it is after" Heero finally sat down at the couch as the other fellow Ex-Gundam pilots watched with interest. "I thought all of the mobile suits were destroyed…" Quatre said looking worried. Just then on the screen the mobile suit stepped onto the warehouse building smashing it into rubble "What is this mobile suit looking for?!" the reporter yelled from over the noise. A man in a white lab coat backed up towards the camera to get away from the mobile suit "Excuse me sir!" the reporter said getting his attention "What is going on here? Do you know what they are looking for?!" the reporter asked as he turned around "My men!" he yelled. "Were they still inside?!" the reporter gasped "Of course they were! They were protecting our project inside! But now they are crushed!" the man yelled. Heero's eyes narrowed "I know him…" he said looking at the warehouse more carefully "You do?" Duo asked "Do you think it's the warehouse you work at?" Trowa asked making Heero blink "It can't be…". The mobile suit then grabbed down into the rubble and a bright light appeared blinding it for a few moments and then more people in white lab coats ran out of the building "They're alive!" the reporter and the man in the lab coat yelled as they ran over to them. The mobile suit then looked around the warehouse seeming to be scanning for something. "How did you survive?!" the reporter asked them "The girl saved us!" they exclaimed "A girl…?" the reporter asked curious "Yes by this bright light! It surrounded us and protected us from the rubble coming down onto us!" they said looking towards the warehouse. "Barbara!!" Heero yelled jumping to his feet "What?!" the others yelled surprised. Then a girl ran out of the building and turned to the mobile suit "I'm right here! Come get me!" she yelled before running off away from all of the people making everyone gasp. The mobile suit let off some steam and then followed her. "It is her!" Duo yelled jumping to his feet "What the hell is that thing?! And why is it after her?! And when did she learn how to talk?!" Duo added as Heero ran to the door and got his shoes on "No time to explain!" Heero yelled opening the door and going to his car "Heero you can't possibly think you can take on that mobile suit in your car!" Quatre yelled "I know that!" Heero growled getting into his car starting the engine putting in an earpiece into his ear "Keep me posted on what's going on with the news!" Heero said before backing up out of the driveway with a screech then turned the car and speed off. They all stared in shock at the doorway "Well you heard what Yuy said! Lets keep him posted!" Wufei yelled going inside "Yeah!" Duo yelled with a grin running to the living room and started to set up what he needed "Just like old times right Trowa!" Quatre smiled happily "yeah" Trowa smiled.

Heero cursed as the news was telling him nothing "Dammit! Where did they go?!" Heero yelled annoyed "Heero you'll find them soon! Come on a huge mobile suit like that isn't that hard to spot" Duo said talking to Heero through the earpiece. Heero sighed "But I don't see it" Heero groaned, "It can't just disappear!" he yelled as he had to stop at a red light covering his face with his hand and sighed. Heero looked up and blinked in surprise as a cat ran past in the middle of the road "what the…?" Heero said watching the cat run past. "Heero you see anything yet?" Duo asked. "Not yet…" Heero said waiting for the light to change. "Come on damn light…" Heero muttered tapping the car wheel. The passenger side of the car opened and slammed shut making Heero grab his gun and point it at the persons head who gotten into the car "Get out of the car if you want to live" Heero said pissed not even looking at the person. "I….I…." a little voice said sounding scared. Heero turned his head to the person sitting next to him and stared "B-Barbara…!" "It is you!" Barbara yelled hugging onto him. "Heero?! Is Barb with you?! Answer!" Duo yelled into his ear. Heero stared in disbelief at her "I thought it was you in the car n….n…." Barbara said pulling away with a sniffle. "Hey everything's alright now you're with me" Heero said looking at Barbara who turned to look out the back window "He's coming!" Barbara yelled buckling herself up. "He?" Heero said looking not seeing anything "Heero drive please!" Barbara begged. "But I don't see anything" Heero said wondering if she is seeing things "He has this thing on his suit to make him invisible! I don't know how I can see him!!" Barbara exclaimed as a loud crash was heard making them both look out the back window and seen a car now in a building then another car being picked up by something and thrown into another building "What in the hell…?" Heero stared wondering if Barbara is telling the truth. These cars are being moved by something Heero can't see. Barbara started to panic "H-Heero…." "Heero what in the hell is going on!" Duo yelled into the earpiece again. "Not now Duo!" Heero yelled and stepped on the gas making the car squeal. "Duo?" Barbara blinked "he's talking to me through this earpiece in my ear" Heero explained driving quite fast "O-oh…" Barbara said looking out the back window "He's still coming… What are we going to do?" Barbara asked. "I'm thinking…" Heero said "It's hard when I can't see where he is!" he added turning a corner. "Heero go to the old Gundam hanger!" Duo said into the earpiece "Why there Duo?" Heero asked "It's walls are made of Gundainum! And it shouldn't be able to find you there" Duo explained. "Roger" Heero said taking a very sharp corner making the tires squeal "Ep!" Barbara yelled in surprise falling onto Heero's lap. Heero then drove into the warehouse and down another level and turned sharply leaving skid marks along the floor "Duo close the doors now!" Heero yelled "Right!" Duo said and the doors that lead down a level closed shut leaving them in the dark. "We should be safe here," Heero said turning the car off "just don't make a sound until we know it's gone" he added. Barbara nodded a little with her head still on Heero's lap "h-how will we know it's gone?" She asked not daring to move. "Duo is watching from the surveillance camera's where he will come in" Heero explained "Now stay quiet…" he added.
