Begin part two
Duo groaned in pain as he felt his body. Everything hurt... badly. He was wet, and in pain, and his leg was throbbing. Oddly, not as bad as it should have been, but he was didn't to wake up to face the pain his body was promising. He finally rolled over and stumbled to his feet, taking in his filthy, blood covered state with disdain. *How had Wufei gotten them out of there?* He shook off the question, prodding at Wufei where he lay face down on the ground. "Fei? Wake up man, the others haveta be worried bout us."
Wufei groaned slightly but didn't wake up. Somewhere his subconscious mind was telling him not to wake up because he would be severely in pain if he did. Duo didn't like the idea of being in pain alone and he cuffed Wufei in the shoulder.
"Wake up!" Wufei's eyes opened slowly and he groaned as his body awoke. He fully shut them again, willing the pain to go away. Duo didn't understand why his entire body throbbed, but he wasn't going to question the fact that they'd gotten away. He was, however, going to bug Wufei. "Man, they have to be worried, we were supposed to get back last night."
Wufei just groaned, wishing that Duo would shut up so he could drift back into a painless sleep. Alas, it wasn't to be, and he realized as his eyes drifted open again, that he was fucking cold! He slowly propped himself up on his arms, grimacing as his arms bent like spaghetti, then squinted his eyes half shut against the pain that having them open caused.
"We gotta get back to the safe house man, Quatre is likely climbing the walls waiting for us to send in our communication." Duo pushed himself to his feet, a little whimper escaping as he felt the pain of his wounds, as well as the feelings that were encompassing the rest of his body.
"Fine." It was all Wufei had to say as he finally spoke. He was in just as much pain as Duo, but now that he'd shown a weakness, he'd be damned if he'd let it affect him. Huffing a breath, he launched himself to his feet while stubbornly ignoring the pain, and in effect, ignoring Duo as he walked in the direction he thought the safe house was.
"I think I'm glad we didn't take our gundams, I can't even remember what happened to get us back out here." Duo followed after Wufei, quickly drawing close and looping an arm around Wufei to keep himself standing. "Oi, a little support here?" Wufei grunted in acknowledgement and allowed Duo to use him as a crutch, his own arm wrapping around Duo for the same reason. The safe house came into view after a few minutes of dragging along and Duo let out a small groan of relief. "Home sweet home, ne? I just wanna crawl back into a bed in there."
"...Bed..." Wufei almost groaned over the exhaustion and relief that one word brought him and closed his eyes as a slow smile crept it's way over his face.
"Sounds nice doesn't it?" They staggered their way to the door, and Duo slumped a little further, leaning against Wufei as tried the door and found it locked.
Wufei banged his fist on the glass and shattered it, not realizing his own strength until after it broke. "That's odd..." He shrugged a moment later, and reached in the broken window to unlock the door, his body aching for bed too much to worry about a little broken glass.
"Naughty, Naughty, I could have picked it, you didn't have to break the window." Duo pushed the door open as he heard the lock click, looking inside. If the breaking glass hadn't gotten attention, it was left to him to do so. "Honey, we're HOOOOME!!
Wufei trudged in heading for the room that he was sharing with Duo at the moment, not waiting for any of the other pilots to get a good look as his unbathed, nearly bloody state. Duo didn't wait either, pushing the door closed with his foot as he held on to Wufei since he refused to break contact with him, the very idea absurd while he couldn't walk straight. "Bedtime!" He smiled at Wufei a bit dazedly, feeling dizzy from his wounds suddenly as they crossed into the room. Wufei didn't make it to a bed, slowly slumping to the carpet, and falling asleep before he even hit the ground. Duo looked down, pushing the bedroom door closed behind them and sinking to the floor as well. "Good idea man, don't get the beds dirty." Duo mimicked Wufei, passing out practically as he touched the floor. They never even heard the others return in the night from their missions.
To be continued.
