Prologue:
Lady Relena Darlian scooped up a handful of dry, colorful leaves from the forest ground, and threw them up into the air, creating a shower of falling leaflets that floated around her in a beautiful descent. She giggled, and slowly twisted around the shower of floating leaves, pretending to be dancing in some grand ball. Her eyes were closed, and she had her head tilted up towards the sky, her face filled with joy as she twirled around the forest without a care in the world.
Having spent most of her life around the woods, Relena felt peace and happiness here, away from the court life of the castle. Her father, Duke Darlian, never approved of her coming here so frequently. He had always tried to persuade her daughter to stay in the castle, where she could attract possible husbands from the many eligible lords and nobles.
Relena wouldn't have any of it. She found court life boring, and the nobles were a stuffy, pretentious lot, and she did not enjoy their company. She often came here to get away from the boredom of court life.
As her twirl came to an end, she stopped in her tracks and collapsed onto the soft, fertile ground. She lay on her back for awhile, gazing up at the clouds absently. The puffy clouds looked back at her in a myraid of faces. She thought she saw an image of her father.
"Hello, father." Relena giggled.
As if in answer to her greeting, the sound of distant, light footsteps interrupted her thoughts. Relena was alarmed, nobody usually came up here, so deep in the woods. She quickly rose to her feet.
"Who's there?"
Silence.
She squinted her eyes and searched vainly around the forest. No one was around. Maybe it was her imagination. Maybe someone from the court was playing a trick on her, maybe her maid.
"Hello?" She yelled again.
No one answered.
She thought it was peculiar. She was sure she did not imagine the sound of footsteps. She looked around some more, but after awhile, she gave up. She might as well go home, it was getting a bit late. Her father was probably worried about her.
As she dusted off her skirt, and prepared herself for a long trip back home, she heard a man's voice.
"Are you alone?"
Relena froze in her tracks, her shock paralyzing her motionless.

Panicking, Relena thought about what she should do. Before she could think, she blurted out, "Y-yes."
"Did you see my face?"
The voice was threatening, but not malicious in its intent. His words were seductive in its forcefulness, and Relena felt an overwhelming urge to match a face with this mysterious voice.
"No." Replied Relena. She swallowed a huge lump on her throat and worked up her courage. "Who are you?"
"That is not important."
"Then what do you want with me?"
The man paused a moment before he answered. "I need you to bring me medical supplies. Anything you can find, and as quickly as possible, perhaps by tonight. Can you do that?"
"And if I refuse?"
"If you refuse..." The man walked over to Relena and laid his dirt-covered hands on her neck. "Then I might have to improvise on our situation."
Relena felt his hot hands traveling down her neck, towards her shoulders, down her waist, and finally settling on her hips. The man had his nose deep inside Relena's hair, and was sniffing them, like a dog trying to identify a scent. His breathing tickled. She felt afraid and excited at the same time.
Before the man could further explore her less than unwilling body, she spoke, "Yes. I shall find your medical supplies. Please remove your hands."
Relena heard the man chuckle a little as he backed away from her. She blushed. The nerve of this man to touch her like this! If her father found out about this...
"Very good, princess. Do not disappoint me. I shall wait for you here tonight."
Before Relena could reply, the man dashed off into the distance.
"Yes, I will be here. And my name is Relena Darlian. And you are...?"
She could only stare in puzzlement. Who was he?
