Summary: the G-boys are all orphans.... with the exception of our dear Quatre of course. Let's see, Trowa (known as Nanashi) is truly deaf, due to illness... Duo entered the household, and now we get to see how it has fared with him as a resident for a year.

"Hey! That's not fair!" he yelled, running after the others. One of them tripped, and he pounced. "Ah-hah!!! I've got you!" he crowed, tickling the unfortunate creature below him.
"Duo! Let 'im go!" Heero called, and he reluctantly got off of Trowa, who laughed, a hacking sound that was testament to his returning speech.
"You got in trouble!" Quatre sang out, giggling.
"Doesn't he always?" Wufei asked, laughing as he ducked the shoe thrown by his braided foster brother. Duo helped Trowa up, and they all began to run again. This time Duo beat them easily, his shoeless feet carrying him a speed to rival a bird's flight. This time it was the others crying out.
"Not fair! We agreed on shoes!" Quatre said, coming up with the boy's shoes.
"Sorry! I threw one at Wufei, and it seemed silly to make you wait while I pulled it back on and tied it and all that!" The others sweatdropped, and looked at each other. They really couldn't defeat Duo's logic. [1]
"BOYS! COME GET SOMETHING TO EAT!" Sadeema's voice floated across the field to them, and Duo grinned at them before grabbing his shoes and taking off.
"Last one there get's liver for supper!" He fairly flew to the house and skidded to a stop just outside the door to put his shoes back on. As a consequence, Trowa passed him and he was second. As it ended, Quatre was last, but since he was younger, no one had the heart to force him to eat liver, even over his protests that it wasn' so bad.
"Quat, let's just eat and play some more!" Duo said impatiently, as he was unable to eat until grace had been said. It was a peculiarity with him, and the others had never really questioned him on it.
After they'd eaten, but before they could escape outside, Jon came in, holding a sheaf of papers.
"Papa!" Quatre yelled, running to him. The others hung back, allowing the two a moment of privacy before they too, piled onto him, laughing in glee.
"Now, now! I have news! Off me, you rapscallions!" Jon said finally, pushing them gently away. They sat down at his feet as he began to read. 'Your Grace, I have an answer to your inquiry of a fornight past. Your five boys, I am afraid, will not be able to attend Hambrick Hall. However, we do have four openings at Eton, when they reach an age. We applaud your forward actions in inquiring so early and assure you that they will receive the best education your money can buy (which I daresay is phenomenal). Please, inform us when they've reached age and we'll gladly accept them into our institution. Sincerely, treize Khushrenada, Dean of Eton."
"What does tha' mean?" Heero asked, the first to get over his shock.
"Well, it means that you'll get to go to school," Jon said, and Duo stood, looking him in the eye.
"One of us won't. There are only four openings." Trowa's face fell; he obviously assumed he wasn't going. "I'll stay. I don't need book learning." Quatre cried out, obviously intent on yelling at him.
"You'll do no such thing!" Jon said forcefully. "You are all going to Eton. Quatre has a place there; he's had one since birth. The four spots are for you!" Duo's face lit up; no, his whole body lit up. He jumped over and hugged Jon.
"Thank you, Papa!" he said enthusiastically, the first time he'd said that word to him. Jon hugged him back, tears standing in his eyes.
"Now... off with you! I've got work to do. You'll only be in my way." He shooed them off and they left, giggling and hugging each other; even Heero joined in. They spent the rest of the day playing by the lake and getting thoroughly dirty.
All in all, they were normal boys. As they should be.

A/N: So this is the second chapter... I know it isn't the best... but it was a good filler chapter... The next one they might be old enough to actually talk and not just play. Relena might show up in the next couple chapters... don't worry... she won't try and corrupt Hee-chan.
[1]: They are only seven or eight years old… that's really good logic for them… ^__^'
