Notes: I'm so so so so sososososososo SORRY. I didn't mean to just... let it go and let it go for almost a year, but I totally ran out of ideas five seconds after chapter one. Now, after long long months of waiting, here is chapter two... An incredibly, and apologetically short chapter two. I tried! -thoughts-

The first few lessons.

Duo found it was harder to be a master than he believed it would be. He'd only ever worked with the well trained ones before, and he found himself rather suddenly at a loss as to what to do with his completely wild boys. His fellow pilots. Duo shook his head, watching the pair as they worked. The pure submissiveness of the night before had vanished as though it had never been. It seemed that with daylight returned their normal arrogant personalities in full force. Duo figured that if Heero hadn't had a slight hitch in his step that he would have long since convinced himself that the entire evening had been a beautifully brutal dream.

What it all came down to though, was that it wasn't. A dream that is. It had happened. Duo shook his head, thinking over the various reactions the morning had brought. Wufei was more skittish around him than normal. It wasn't obvious, more like a hesitance in his actions that normally wouldn't have been obvious, and Duo was starting to wonder if the other teen regretted his choice now that he had made it. Not that Duo would even consider letting either of his new pets go. He considered willing slavery to be more sacred than marriage. He decided he would be fair, and move slow, giving them both a chance to get used to the idea since they'd be living with it for a while to come yet. Hopefully. If they all lived through the war, then he would have plenty of time to acclimate them to their choice. But if one of them died before... Duo decided right then that it would be best to watch and wait beyond the basic rules for now. He couldn't have them dependant while there was still a risk that he would die in the next mission. He'd seen what happened to a slave who lost a master that they had put as the center of their world. It broke something in them, and it couldn't be fixed by finding a replacement, because it simply wasn't the same. Slaves in that position tended to take it as a personal failing.

Duo couldn't help an amused smile as his two pets bickered back and forth over the plans for the mission that they had the next day. Usually the two would disagree often, but this time they seemed a bit more personal about it. Nitroglycerine versus C4 was the current debate that they were hitting back and forth at each other. They'd been at it since eight that morning. He didn't really have a problem until he saw how very smug Wufei was acting about the entire thing. That was plenty enough for the arguing.

Wufei growled and clenched his fists, looking ready to cuff Heero the next time the teen dared to say a word to him. Duo got up to intervene at that. He wouldn't have them trading blows over anything like this. It just wasn't acceptable. He stepped between the two, putting a hand on each shoulder as he drew a deep breath. When he spoke, his voice was pure command. "Enough!" He glared from one to the other in obvious annoyance. "I've seen you two work together with one another with no trouble before. What happened to that? Did you forget your new status along with the old one? We are in a war! We have jobs to do before we can let things change. Besides that, no one belonging to me should act so... petty! I can't believe I had to tell you that! You two, of all people." Duo gave a shove, pushing them away from each other hard enough to cause them to stumble before turning his back in a cold gesture. He could practically feel their stunned expressions, and was satisfied with that for the moment. They wanted someone to be firm with them did they? Fine, he could be that.

Heero was the first of the pair to stutter his way back to coherency. "Duo?"

Duo spun around on his heel, giving Heero a fierce glare that had the other unwittingly taking a step back in defense. "Do you see anyone else here but the three of us?" Heero cautiously shook his head, frantically trying to understand the new turn of events.

Wufei flicked his gaze from one to the other. When Duo said nothing to further explain, Wufei spoke up. "Is there a reason you asked?"

Duo looked to Wufei, then at Heero, still highly annoyed. "Then you've no right to use my name. Call me Master among the three of us, or in any other appropriate settings. I only should need to say this once." Duo gestured dismissively. "Get back to work, we have a mission to plan. Duo was about to return to his portion of the planning for the mission when he caught Wufei rolling his eyes, thinking he wasn't being noticed. Duo pretended not to see it immediately, setting down what he'd just picked up. "Actually, Wufei, I want you to come with me."

Wufei must have caught the odd note in Duo's voice, because as he followed him from the room, he was stiff. "Is there something you required of me?" Wufei kept his voice pitched low, his eyes scanning the clearing Duo had led them to.

"I'm not oblivious, Wufei." Duo moved to Wufei, quietly amused as the darker pilot skittishly backed away, as though suddenly aware he'd stepped into another realm of living the day before. "Why did you roll your eyes at me, Wufei?"

Wufei shivered at the dark way Duo kept saying his name, unsure how to handle the repetition. He wasn't used to the other pilot saying his full name, let alone in that sultry, dark tone of voice. "I..." Shoring himself up, Wufei made himself breath normally. "I thought you were acting rather... pompous... for you." Wufei was horrified as he felt his back make contact with a tree, and he ended his words in a squeak.

Duo raised his hand in a smooth motion, stealing the band from Wufei's hair, aware that it had an affect on his self-confidence. Duo raised an eyebrow as he saw the welling helplessness that entered Wufei's eyes with the simple gesture. "But Wufei, you are not permitted to be disrespectful like that. Just to be sure you don't forget, I should reinforce the lesson. I know I haven't devoted the proper attention to you yet, so I should fix that." Duo slid his hand down Wufei's shirt to his pants and gave them a tug, loosening the knot that kept them in place. "Turn around."

Wufei stared at Duo with the sort of dawning realization that made it apparent that he didn't know what he was getting into, even as he was frozen in place. Duo was really going to make him do what he wanted to do. He had agreed to do this, and his honor wouldn't let him disobey, even though he knew his pride would suffer. "Duo?" Even with the realization, he was unable to fully comprehend it.

Duo's eyes showed a brief compassion before they hardened, giving Wufei no quarter. "Call me Master. If you cannot remember as just that, then I will allow Master Duo. Now, I recall telling you to turn around." Duo made a spinning motion with his fingers.

When Wufei continued to hesitate, Duo grabbed his shoulders and forcibly spun him. "Wha?"

Duo blew out a long breath as he cut across Wufei's half formed question. "Quiet. You are not to talk until I say you may." When Wufei made a noise that verged on protesting, Duo gave his pants a yank, baring his backside to the air. "Ten smacks to improve your memory, and thirty for disobedience. If you don't do as instructed, then I will make it more." Duo's voice was soft, and he waited patiently for the affirmative nod of understanding before he made any further move to touch him. It was clearly reluctant, so Duo brought down the first slack a bit harder than he'd originally planned. Wufei practically yelped as he felt the sting, a little stunned that Duo actually did it. After a pause, in which he waited for Wufei to relax, Duo brought down a few more of the slaps in a quick succession, the force as hard as the first. He ignored the sting in his hand from his actions as he watched Wufei, noting his increased breathing as Duo finished out the number he'd told the other teen. When he pulled back, Wufei was barely holding onto his feet with the help of the tree. "You can talk now if you like." Duo ran his fingers lightly over the reddened skin, as Wufei refused to budge. "You can move Wufei."

Wufei took a shuddery breath before shaking his head, eyes closed tightly against the tears. He didn't think his backside could be so sensitive. -I can't believe I asked for this... Idiot.- Wufei felt vaguely humiliated, but strangely gratified at the same time that Duo had taken his hand to him, taking the choice from him. The whisper that came from his lips was nothing like the firm statement he'd wanted it to be. "I'm fine here."

Duo shook his head, tugging Wufei's pants back into place and then pulling the other teen against his chest. He was met with no resistance. "Wufei, I don't think you understand something here." He could feel Wufei tensing against his chest almost immediately. Duo smiled, leaning his cheek against Wufei's loosened hair. "While it may not have been wise of me to allow you both to come to me, now that I have, you are equal. I will not just give him pleasure, even as I will not just give you punishment. Understand?"

Wufei nodded a little, eyes half closing as he leaned into Duo. "Yes Master.

"Good boy." Wufei was quickly turned around then, and Duo was kissing him, the action tender instead of the rough possessiveness that had permeated it the day before. Duo could feel Wufei's startlement and he sighed softly, threading his fingers into Wufei's hair, tilting his head up a little more. A hand slipped down behind Wufei's back as they kissed drawing him closer to his chest. Wufei whimpered softly as he yielded into the actions, and he sucked at Duo's tongue as it passed his lips. Not a moment later Duo pulled back, drawing a mewl of disappointment from Wufei, who quickly tried to cover. The sound drew a cocky smile from Duo, and he nudged Wufei with his nose. "Neither of you is better than the other." He ran a hand through Wufei's hair before stepping back away from him. "You need to get back to the mission planning."

Wufei moved a hand to his hair after a step, and looked to Duo with a blush on his face. "But... You have my hair tie... Mater." It took a minute to get the halting sentence out, but he managed it.

Duo shook his head, a small smile on his lips. "No, Wufei." Duo took Wufei's hand and tugged him into the 'safe house.' "You aren't getting that back until you have to leave for your mission." Duo pushed open the door to the safe house, immediately noting that Heero's smug attitude had vanished when he'd taken Wufei aside. -Good.-

Heero met Duo's eyes in silent apology, apparently understanding that he would be left to imagine why Wufei was left in such a state of disarray. Duo merely gestured for Heero to get back to his own duties. There was a mission in the morning after all.

-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-

The mission the next day was, put simply, a rousing failure. To date, the pilots hadn't had so many things go wrong on the same mission, and it was something of a shock to have so many small, fixable mistakes become one singular disaster. Heero, having finally agreed with Wufei that they would both use C4, was unprepared for the events that happened during the mission.

Wufei's explosives, set to go off in an hour, as he rendezvoused with Heero. That didn't happen. Instead, the explosives were set off almost half an hour too early, which in and of itself might not have been so bad, but he had been just beyond the doors of a room where the majority of the higher ranking officials on base had been holding a conference. As soon as he'd realized his position, Wufei's reaction had been to make a run for it, leaving him with a shoulder wound, and a twisted ankle. Both of which were used to ever so politely escort him to a cell in the lower level of the facility.

On the other end of the complex, Heero heard the explosion. Debating quickly with himself, he darted back to reset his explosives so that he could distract the soldiers from Wufei's area of the facility. It would have worked, had the water coming down from the ceiling not interfered with the charge from the detonator and left Heero with no explosives to cover his back. Unfortunately, Heero didn't manage to block the gun that clocked him rather harshly over the back of the head, and he soon joined Wufei in the cell below levels.

There was only one thing for Wufei to say as he saw Heero being escorted into the cell with him. "We're going to be rescued by Duo. My life is over."

To be continued.
