"Akeem!" Lily exclaimed, embracing her the man as he approached, "What are you doing here?"
"You should of known your father would of invited my father and me to your sixteenth birthday festival," Akeem explained as he hugged Jia. Akeem was not as tall as some of the men in the White City but he did rise just a few inches above most of them. He stood out quite well against the dreary clothed people. Akeem, being the son of the Arabic Sultan Quatre, wore bright hues of forget-me-not blues and cream colored whites that contrasted with his platinum blonde hair nicely and the blues made his aquamarine eyes stand out more.
"Festival?" Lily questioned, looking from Jia to Akeem and then to Jin who had appeared.
"Oh," Akeem apologized, "I'm sorry…apparently it was a surprise…."
"No, no," Jia started.
"They were going to tell her on the day of, but maybe by now she'll be able to steam down," Jin finished for his sister, "Anyways, come on girls, the Queen is ready to leave."
"All right," Lily turned to Akeem, "Care to join us?"
"No," Akeem replied, "It's quite all right. I need to get back to the docks and help make sure everything is all right." Akeem bowed deeply to Lily then with a quick hug, left down an alley and disappeared over the horizon.
"Well come on you two," Jin said, leading the girls to the carriage where Relena had been waiting impatiently.

Solo was about to approach Lily and her friend when someone had called out for her. He turned to see an Arabic boy no older than he was striding up to the two. He watched behind a covered wagon as the three got into a conversation and hugs were exchanged. Soon another man approached, who Solo took notice at once was a solider from the Imperial Palace. He watched more contently when a scowl appeared on Lily's face as the Arabian spoke.
Minutes went by and he watched the four of them talk. Finally the blonde Arabian left and Lily and her friend followed the Imperial solider. Solo had half the heart to follow them but decided against it when his Uncle Trowa appeared down the alley that the Arabian had just entered. Solo watched as his uncle's visible green eye starred at the passing Arabian and then adverted his gaze to Solo.
"So you saw," It was more than a comment than a question.
"Yes," Solo replied to his uncle, "How'd you know she'd be here?" Trowa didn't reply, but instead walked back toward the wagon where Duo was, Solo following behind.

Emperor Heero was pissed. Not only had he lost in an argument to his wife, he had to spend the day alone, touring the country side by himself while he could have taken his daughter and that wench of a wife of his along with them.
The White City guards nodded to the Emperor as he passed underneath the gates. Heero steered his pure white horse, which he had named Wing, towards the stables and led the obedient horse to a stable boy who gladly took the reins of the beautiful mare.
Upon leaving the stables, Heero was drawn to a wagon where a crowd had gathered around. A woman was standing on top of a box, auctioning off items as the crowd shouted prices at her. Heero's assumptions that it was a woman, were wrong. As a matter of fact it was a man. Although the man's three feet long chestnut colored braid had made him assume it was a woman, the man's eyes, a dark amethyst also added to the assumption.
The man stood wearing a black tunic and leggings and his knee high boots could be seen made of black dragon hide. It was rather difficult for dragon hide to be found, due to the fact that dragons had been dying out for centuries. Although the Imperial Kingdom did have a few dragons, the most rarest of the dragons were the Silver Fangs. Though Silver Fanged had mislead some people, the dragon did not, however, have silver fangs. It's hide was the stronger than the mountain side and gleamed like a gigantic diamond when the moon shone upon its back. It was never said what color of eyes this fantastic beast had, for no one has ever gotten close enough to see, but it was said the tears had powers that could easily grant the user of the tears immortality and great powers. It was unknown how many Silver Fangs were, although many were said to be seen.
Legend had it, that every thousand years, a pair that were destined to be soul mates, would be born, and once their love was sealed, they could easily control the powers from the Silver Fangs and they would be the supreme rulers of the universe, formally known as the Lord and Lady or the God and the Goddess.
"And thank you, my good ladies and gentlemen, but I must get packing and thank you for all your contributions," Heero heard the man say. Slowly the crowd thinned out and all that were left were a few lookers and Heero. Heero wondered around the wagon, viewing the items that he saw, had come from miles away. The man was currently busy with an old woman who was speaking in a Spanish accent to the braided man about a roll of dark red silk. Heero looked down and was instantly reminded of his daughter.
There in a box lined with black velvet was a necklace. Not just an ordinary necklace, no, this was more beautiful.
"May I see this sir?" Heero called out to the braided man who turned around, his straight white teeth sparkling and Heero was instantly taken aback.
"Certainly," replied the braided man opening the case and taking out the necklace and handing it to Heero. As Heero examined the beautifully cut necklace, the man examined him. The braided man, who was none other than Solo's godfather, Duo, took in the appearance of the man who emitted a high aurora of power. The man had carried himself as if he were a great commander ready to lead his men into battle. His dark chocolate hair looked as if no matter how hard you tried, it would always stay in the exotic mess it was. Duo looked harder at the man, although he had had reason that he had seen this man before and couldn't pinpoint it, till the man spoke.
"How much?" the man asked Duo. Then it clicked and Duo's smile grew wider.
Duo remembered, although he didn't think the man did, "Three gold pieces." Duo watched as his childhood friend fished out three gold pieces and handed the half dollar sized gold coins to Duo. Duo handed the man the velvet box that the necklace was displayed in and pocketed his coins.
"Do you remember the Maxwell Dynasty?" Duo called to the man's retreating figure.
The man stopped, before turning around. Cobalt blue eyes locked on with laughing amethyst.
"The clan from the Maxwell Dynasty were destroyed less than thirty years ago by the Sanq Kingdom."
"But one still lives," Duo said in a singsong voice as the man ¾ Heero ¾ walked back towards the stables…

Author's note:
I just wanted to warn you guys that I'm going to be switching back and forth to show Duo & Heero's childhood and how they noticed each other. I'll probably say flashback at the beginning of the story and move back and forth between the two, or but it in dream sequence. Just to pre-warn you so it hopefully doesn't get anymore confusing than it already is.
