Chapter Fifteen

======================================================

"The mountains are cursed," Elric stated at the company of over thirty approached the towering mountain tops. It was a long, uneventful three day ride from the Elves' temple to the mountain pass. The wind had howled as they traveled, however it was eerily quite. The only sound being of horses neighing and becoming more and more skittish as they approached the mountains.

"Great spirits lurk within the shadows," Trowa explained to Quatre as they brought up the rear of the company.

"Is that why the mountains and the surrounding lands are known as the Shadow Lands?" Quatre asked. Trowa nodded.

"The greatest God known to man sleeps here in his fiery tomb."

"Shinigami," Duo whispered as he listened in on their conversation. At the mention of 'Shinigami' the wind began to pick up speed. The horses neighed and come reared back. Quatre's cream colored horse had bucked the blond Arab off, sending him flying through the air. Trowa began to quickly mutter incantations under his breath. Quatre stopped in mid air and floated safely back down to the ground.

"Are you all right?" Heero asked as he dismounted from Wing. Quatre nodded as he stood, dusting the dirt off his pants.

"Yes," Quatre replied. "Thank you." Duo dismounted from Shinigami.

"I believe it might be best to leave the horses behind." A few of the men that were listening nodded as they dismounted their horses. They removed their weapons and packs from their steeds before giving them a slap on the butt. Heero gave Wing a pat on her flank, nudging her to follow the other retreating horses.

Heero looked up the mountain, taking in its architecture: A path wove had been worn into the sides of the mountain, creating a sort of dusty road. Inhabitants of the Black Castle centuries ago used this path to move carriages and carts up the mountain side. The road was smooth, as if it had been recently traveled on days ago.

The wind began to pick up speed, ruffling Heero's already messy hair as he began to travel up the slide. The sound of wings flapping drifted through the air. Hairs rising on the back of his neck, Elric directed his piercing gaze towards Heero, his long pointed ears twitching.

"We have to get up the mountain!" Elric called over the howling wind.

"…kill them…" a soft voiced echoed in the wind.

"She knows we're here," Quatre said as he followed the company up the road.

"How could she?" Jin asked, fingers twitching over the hilt of his sword. The wind gave a sense of evil that he didn't like.

"She's found her power," Trowa replied. For once, both of his emerald green eyes were visible as the wind roared once again. "Relena's stronger than she was before."

"How could she of done that in so short of time?" Akeem asked as he stepped over a fallen tree branch.

"Most wizards store their powers for a time," Quatre told his son. "This is called harvesting. When they harvest, their powers grow drastically."

Trowa fished from his tunic, pulling a silver chain with a small green orb attached to it.

"This is part of my power," Trowa explained, showing the orb to Akeem and Jin. "If it ever was destroyed, my powers would slowly fade. As the power trained from the harvesting, my more simpler magic would disappear. It would then be to the point where I would have great difficulty performing the simplest glamour spell."

"We need to get going!" They heard Elric's voice above them. The four looked at each other for a moment and continued treading up the now winding path.

================================================================ < p>A knock on the door drew Lily from her thoughts. Lily gazed out the window, draping one leg over the edge. She turned her blue gaze from the court yard to the door.

"It's open," Lily replied to the knock. The door opened. An elf, known as Gregon entered. He had shoulder length olive black hair that was pulled in a customary braid. He was dressed in red and purple robes that swept across the floor as he walked. He bowed, his dark gray eyes never wavering from Lily's.

"We are ready to part, milady," Gregon's smooth masculine voice said. "Lady Chang awaits you in the carriage." Lily stood, much taller now than she had been a few days before. She was beginning to feel better too, as she had bathed in been clothed in pale blue dresses and robes. Her hair was braided again, the dark brown tresses falling like a curtain behind her. Gregon held out his hand, escorting Lily to the white carriage, drawn by black horses. Jia's smiling face could be seen through the window.

"Are you all right?" Jia asked, flicking her dark hair behind her shoulder. Lily forced a smile.

"Yes." Lily sat down across from Jia. Gregon entered after discussing some things with the elves that were to guard them, and sat down next to Lily. The carriage began to move. The silver and gold trees began to fade, changing into browns and greens. A soft jolt alerted them that they were now traveling on a road. Gregon closed the windows when the noon sun began to shine through. The talked during the passing hours, enjoying each others' company.

The carriage shook for a moment, bouncing them in their seats.

"Ow," Jia said as she rubbed her forehead from where she collided with the window frame. The carriage shook again. Muffled shouts could be heard through the thick walls, the distant pings of arrows being released lost in the distance.

"What's going on?" Jia asked Lily as the carriage shook again. Lily shrugged, bracing herself against the seat as the carriage shook more violently once again. Knocks were sounding from all around the carriage. The thumps that followed sounded like bodies being throne against the carriage, causing it to shake more.

The cast iron handle that served as a doorknob, began to shake, as if an invisible force was trying to open it. The door opened a crack, the afternoon night spilling through the carriage. Gregon dove for the door, forcefully slamming it shut. The door began to shake, opening more. Jia and Lily were quick to help Gregon pull the door shut. High pitched screaming spilled through the crevice of the door. At the count of three they all slammed their lithe bodies against the door, finally closing it. The shaking stopped.

After a few minutes of silence and heavy breathing, Gregon stood.

"Stay here," he instructed and disappeared through the door.

"What do you think it was?" Jia asked as she took in another breath. Lily shrugged.

"Don't know, it must be gone by now. Are you okay?"

"Yeah. Wonder if ¾ " Jia and Lily screamed as the carriage began to tip over as it began to shake again more violently. The door now loomed above them. Jia began to untangle herself from her dress and Lily as the door began to open above them. Lily and Jia were both quick to jump the few inches into the air and grab a hold of the latch, their feet levitating from the ground.

The knocking began to sound all around them, shaking the carriage more violently. Jia and Lily struggled to keep a hold of door, pulling down with all their strength.

Jia and Lily screamed as a bloody red hand shot through one of the seats, inches away from Lily. It retreated, leaving a small hole for them to see out of.

Demons, standing more that eight feet high loomed over the elves, swiping at the arrows that pelted down upon them. Blood was strewn across the ground and dripped through the splintered wood.

Gregon's lump body lay not far from the carriage, his chest slowly rising. Apparently the demons had not noticed that he was still alive.

A second hand came crashing through, this time above them. Jia screamed as the skeletal, claw like, hand latched around her wrist. Jia began to scream more as the flesh around the demon's hand began to burn white, then red, and finally black. Fumes smoked through the fingers as the demon clung manically to her hand.

Lily jumped down, trying her hardest to pull Jia from the grips of the demon. Suddenly her ring began to glow, casting white and blue light across the small carriage. The demon gave a high pitched screech as he dropped Jia. The ring stopped glowing as Jia fell on top of Lily.

Jia clenched her wrist in pain. The flesh had been burned in a handprint around her wrist. The black flesh began to steam at the contact of cool air. Lily grabbed a tunic, she didn't know who's, and began to wrap it around the burn. In her desperation to help Jia, she hadn't realized the door opened above her.

A platinum blonde haired man appeared above them. His icy blue eyes starring through the iron mask he wore. Zechs jumped down inside of the carriage, knocking both Jia and Lily to the ground. Standing between them, he leaned down and grabbed a hold of Lily's forearm, pulling her to her feet.

"Someone wishes to see you," his voice dripped like venom as he spoke. Lily began to feel a sensational pull somewhere beneath her feet. She looked around and realized her surroundings were spinning. After a minute, Lily and Zechs now stood in an empty black marble court room.

The sound of footsteps echoed around the room. Relena entered, dressed in robes of deep red and black. She smiled broadly as Zechs shoved Lily down onto her knees.

"Lillian," Relena said, opening her arms wide as if expecting a hug. "Welcome to my castle. Although it isn't complete." Within the blink of an eye, Relena now stood in front of Lily, inches from her face.

"But you'll help me make it complete…"

"I will do now such thing," Lily spat. Relena slapped her across her face. A red handprint forming across her right cheek. For once in her lifetime, Lily really hated the person she had called 'Mother' all these sixteen years.

"Oh, I do think you're wrong." Relena appeared this time from where she had entered. Her hand on the door, she paused and looked at Zechs.

"Oh, and dear brother. Well done, feel free to enjoy your reward." Relena turned and left as Zechs smiled at his sister's retreating form.

================================================================ < p>"You need to rest, Heero," Duo said as he handed Heero the canteen. The company had stopped at a small flat to spend the night. Although they were well covered, the towers of the Black Castle could be seen looming over the distant horizon. "By tomorrow night we should have made it to the gates."

"How can I rest when I know what evil lies behind the Black Gate?"

"What the hell?" Duo ignored Heero's question as the silhouette of someone came staggering over the road.

An elf, bloody and battered, struggled up the hill. Heero recognized him as Gregon and ran to catch him as he collapsed.

"Gregon?" Heero called, gently slapping him. "What happened?" Gregon's gray eyes were visible for a moment before he closed them again. Pain was etched across his elfin face in the moonlight. Elric came striding from the camp, Duo, Quatre, Trowa, Akeem, and Jin at his heals. Heero gently passed Gregon to Elric. Gregon's eyes opened again.

"Milord…failed…s'sorry…" he mumbled and began to frantically speak in his native language. After he stopped, Elric began translating.

"He says they were attacked by a band of demons," all eyes fell upon Elric. Elric looked at Heero for a long moment before continuing.

"Lady Lillian was taken."

================================================================

Lily was forcefully shoved down against the cold hard floor of the dungeon. She heard chains rattling and looked into the darkness.

"Solo," she chocked out before she was seized around the throat and shoved back down to the floor. Solo looked up from where he sat.

"Zechs," Solo growled as he began to desperately free himself from the iron cuffs. He had seen better days. The long gash running from his eyebrow to his jaw was red and raw. His clothes in tatters from the whip that had been used on him. The deep slashes from the leather still bleed as he struggled harder. "Leave her alone." Zechs turned his wicked smile onto Solo, kneeling down next to Lily, inches from her face. He turned his head towards Solo.

"Would you like to see what I'm about to do to your precious girlfriend?" Zechs taunted. Solo began to fight even harder against his restraints, the chains rattled against the stone floor.

"NO! Don't do it!" Zechs smiled as he shoved the fighting Lily back down against the floor. Dorothy entered, carrying an assortment of things.

"Here you go, milord," Dorothy smiled as she began handing pillows to Zechs. Zechs stuffed them in various places around Lily, trying to create a comfortable surrounding on the dirty stone floor.

"Take this too," Dorothy handed Zechs a dagger. The silver blade and decorated hilt gleamed in the flickering candlelight. Lily began to struggle beneath Zechs's weight, trying desperately to kick him off.

"Will that be all?" Dorothy asked.

"Yes, yes," Zechs replied. "Just hold her down." Dorothy nodded and took Lily's threatening arms into her hands and pinned them above her head.

"Now, back to what I was doing. Watch carefully Solo," Zechs took the dagger in his calloused hands and began to rip off Lily's blue dress and white chemise. Lily began to struggle even more against him and Dorothy. Solo couldn't bear to watch anymore as he turned his head and hoped to the Gods this was only a nightmare.

Zechs kneeled down, straddling Lily's soft hips as he took the dagger and tore off the bodice and underwear, smiling at the virgin beauty. He raised Lily slightly in the air, parting her legs. Dorothy saw what he was about to do and made to gag Lily before Zechs stopped her.

"No. I want Solo to hear her scream." Dorothy nodded and removed her hand. Zechs once again lifted Lily's hips, position himself. Lily braced herself, trying her hardest not to scream as Zechs shoved his manhood inside of her.

Zechs smirked at her attempts and leaned down to kiss her. He forcefully parted her lips, his tongue invading the warm cavern. He pulled back, gasping for air. Zechs lifted Lily's thighs higher into the air and began to pump, digging harder and deeper with each thrust.

Lily couldn't contain it, she bit down on her lips, allowing them to bleed before she finally screamed. She closed her eyes, tears escaping. Zechs pulled back one last time, thrusting as far as his cock could go. Zechs moaned in delight as he came. Lily screamed as she felt the warm liquid of his seed feel inside of her, mixing with the blood.

Zechs collapsed against her chest, panting and shaking with each breath. He lay there a moment, placing soft kisses on her. Finally he pulled out, his manhood limp and covered in the pink liquid. He stood and put his pants on as Dorothy through a blanket over Lily's lithe form. Zechs bent down, placing one last kiss on her bruised lips.

"Thank you for the wonderful fuck," Zechs nodded to Dorothy and left, his footsteps echoing in the distance…
