This story will have a 1x2 and 3x4 pairing. Possibly Wufei will end up with someone, haven't decided.
Chapter 1: You Bought Me A What?
"Congratulations on your wedding, Heero." Wufei greeted them at the door to his manor cordially, despite the harsh words he and Heero had exchanged last time they met. "I wish you every happiness with...her."
"Thank you." Heero noted how Wufei avoided saying Relena's name but didn't care. He was the third son of a noble house which really didn't mean much. The title and land went to the oldest son while the second had found the vocation and now lived at a monastery. To avoid a life of sponging off his brother, Heero had agreed to the arranged marriage his father had negotiated for him: he would marry Queen Relena until such a time as an heir was produced. After that the couple could remain together or separate as they wished but the important thing, from Heero's point of view, was the "groom price" payable on birth of a healthy child that would allow Heero to live comfortably if the marriage was dissolved, and dissolved it would be. Wufei and Trowa were right: Relena was a bitch.
"I'm sorry I couldn't attend the wedding," Wufei continued, "but I had business away."
Heero nodded.
"I did get you a gift but, due to the nature of it, it couldn't be sent to you. It should arrive shortly though. Heero? Trowa? Shall we? I'll have someone show you to your rooms and then we can have drinks in the library.
"Excellent."
*****
"So Wufei," Trowa began when they met in the library, "what is this gift you got Heero? You've been awfully secretive."
"It's going to be a surprise. But I actually got one for you as well. I think I found one exactly to your tastes and your birthday is quite soon I believe."
"Are they-" Heero began but broke off as a servant came to the door. "Sir, Mr. Zechs is here. He has the items you ordered."
Wufei smiled. "Great, if you'll follow me?" He strode out followed by his confused guests.
"What do you think they are?" Trowa asked Heero.
"Maybe horses since they're outside."
"I doubt it. I can't picture Wufei getting this excited about horses."
"True."
The men approached a carriage with a tall blond man standing in front.
"Heero, Trowa," Wufei introduced, "this is Zechs. Zechs, Duo is for Heero and Quatre is for Trowa. My friends," Wufei turned back to Heero and Trowa, "I got each of you a Kushrenada trained bodyslave. Zechs will explain."
"My lord trains slaves in all manner of tending to a master, be it pleasure, protection or whatever have you. The slaves are obedient and respectful of their masters." He shot a glance at the carriage, "Usually."
"Usually?" Heero questioned.
Wufei broke in, "The particular ones I got for you two were not going to be sold due to ah... well not defects but quirks. I thought they would provide an interesting challenge for you and perhaps make them more enjoyable."
"Quirks?" Trowa wondered.
"I think they will exactly compliment you both but you'd better meet them."
"Right," Zechs said, "Duo, come here." A braided figure bounded out of the carriage and looked questioningly at Zechs, who gestured to Heero.
Duo walked in a circle around his new master inspecting him and saying things like, "Hmmm, blue eyes - very nice. Good muscle definition, hello sixpack! Okay," he said at last," he'll do."
"..." Heero looked confused.
"This is what's wrong with Duo. He takes nothing seriously, is not very respectful-"
"I also talk too much," the braided man put in.
"I'll bet you do." Heero muttered.
Duo gave him a cheery smile. "On the other hand, I'm great in bed and from what I've hear about your wife-"
Wufei began to choke. "Um Zechs, the other one?"
"Right, Quatre?"
A tiny blonde stepped out of the carriage and stood, eyes downcast, in front of Zechs.
"Trowa this is Quatre. He..." Wufei trailed off when he saw Trowa wasn't listening.
"Quatre," Trowa breathed. He stepped forward, eyes full of blonde hair, big, aqua eyes and smooth white skin. Quatre smiled shyly but said nothing.
"He won't talk to you," Duo informed Trowa from where he was staring owlishly at his new master.
"Why not? He can talk?"
"Can but won't. He doesn't like strangers, do you Quat?" Duo patted Quatre on the head and Quatre made as if to swat him but, catching Trowa's eye, he went back to staring at the ground.
"Allow me to explain," Zechs said, "due to certain events in Quatre's past, things no one knows but him, Quatre is very wary of strangers. He won't talk to anyone unless he really trusts them. Master Kushrenada felt that any...correctional techniques we could try to use would make him worse. Of course it really isn't much of a flaw, many masters prefer silence in their slaves."
"I hope you enjoy your gifts." Wufei said.
"Yes," Trowa breathed, afraid to speak loudly lest the figure in front of him shatter.
"Errrr..." Heero began.
"Excellent. I'm going to bed now so I'll leave you to get acquainted. Zechs, I have a room prepared."
"Right. But before I go, do you have any questions?"
"Yes," Heero was hesitant, "what are we supposed to do with them?"
"Anything you want. They should serve faithfully and obediently in whatever capacity you require. Should they fail to do so either discipline them yourselves or send them back to master Treize for further training. He will also buy back any slave that is deemed unsuitable. The slave is your property to keep, sell or even kill if the whim should strike. It is customary to free them after seven years of faithful service but this is tradition rather than law. They are yours. Will that do?"
"Yes. Thank you." Heero still seemed uncertain.
"Great. Goodnight gentlemen." The two men entered the manor and disappeared from sight.
"Come to think of it, Hee-chan," said Duo, stifling a yawn, "can I call you Hee-chan?"
"No."
"Great. So. Hee-chan, where will I be sleeping? I don't think our gracious host assigned me or Quatre a room." Heero looked at Trowa, who shrugged and then, in desperation, he looked at Quatre who made no response having missed the look due to the fact that he was concentrating on the ground. "Does that mean I get to bed down with you?" Duo asked after the significant pause. "Sounds like fun. You know," Heero resignedly entered the mansion and began the journey to his room with Duo bouncing after him, "I think I'm going to like you."
