He could feel branches and thorns scratch at him as he ran through them without abandon. He was running, always running with everything he had, but it was never enough. Breaking through the trees, his eyes widened when he saw he was too late. Falling to his knees, he screamed out to her, “Oka-san! Stay away from her!”
Crawling across the ground he could feel familiar tears well up in his eyes, “Take me…please!” he screamed the final word, turning away helplessly as they brutally raped and mutilated her. Vicious, long teeth gleamed at him through cruel smirks and demonic eyes glowed leeringly. He smashed his fists to the ground, crying out in frustration as they dropped her lifeless body to the ground. A sharp cracking filled the air and the ground beneath him began to shatter like glass. Gasping, the boy plummeted into a sea of crimson. Flailing his arms, he screamed, mortified at being covered in the suffocating blood.
A slender body bolted straight up in the bed with a gasp. Panting, Heero looked down to his sweat-soaked sheets and tried to take deep calming breaths. Knowing he would not being sleeping anymore that night, he stood, slowly making his way into his kitchen where he poured himself a hot drink. Sitting at his table, he mused over his dream. `I've been dreaming about her a lot lately…why? Why did it have to end like that?'
Blue eyes grew glassy and far away at the memories of his mother. He stared into nothing, his feelings welling until finally shaking his head. Frowning he cleared his thoughts, `Won't matter. I'm still going to expose those bastards…'
Later…
Walking into the studio, Heero was immediately bombarded by a loud, but definitely feminine voice, “Chibi!” Turning, he saw his blonde band mate rushing over to him, a broad smile on her face as she hurried to embrace him.
Accepting the hug, blue eyes rolled, “Don't call me that, Alice,” he said, knowing full well it wouldn't sway the girl. Releasing the taller girl, he looked her over, he'd known Alice since he was a child and the girl had always called him the nickname due to his shorter stature.
Winking at him, she giggled, “Ok, Chibi!” She bounced over to her brother, Alex, while the Japanese shook his head, choosing to ignore her persistence.
“Have we gotten any news on the concert?” the brunette asked, looking from the green-eyed girl to her twin brother.
The hazel-eyed teen nodded, stepping forward, “Jay says the concert's still in two days, but more vamps will be there then we originally expected,” his face was serious. “He said you should be ready.”
Heero nodded, feeling a muscled arm sling around his shoulder, “Don't worry,” the brunette turned to look into coffee colored eyes, “I'll protect you.” The Japanese nudged the smirking boy off him, playfully. The four shared a relieved laugh and Heero smiled, looking his three friends over.
The Asian boy next to him, Lee, had been friends with him and the twins since junior high, he was slightly taller then Heero with shoulder length black hair and iridescent highlights; the forward boy's antics kept the group laughing.
The older twin, Alex, was a tall beautiful blonde like his sister, but his reserved personality and cool demeanor made him like a surrogate older brother to the entire group.
Alice, a buxom blonde with chunky blue highlights, was easy-going and spunky, her and her brother had been with Heero since elementary school and had grown to love him as another brother as well as Lee.
Heero was the lead singer of DTS (1) along with Alice on guitar, Alex on bass, and Lee playing the drums. DTS topped the underground charts with its hard beats and haunting lyrics. Each member had secrets shared between each other and each knew every secret of the Tokyo nightlife.
