They say we are heroes, saviours, liberators, rescuers.

They say we are the redeemers

They say there is no place for us in a world without war.

They say this era will end.

How can there be a world without war, can such a thing ever exist?

Yes.

We found that out the hard way.

They say we are the last icons of the war.

They say we need to be eliminated for true peace.

They say there is no place for the tainted in their picture perfect world

They say we need to die.

They say we could never be normal.

They say we could never have a happy ending.

They say we are destined for death.

They say we should have died in that last battle.

They say that we are gone.

They say we passed due to injuries long ignored

They say now there can finally be true peace.

They say our ghosts will never disturb them again

They say they are the lucky ones.

They say life will be kind.

They say they will not need us.

They say nothing can hurt them anymore.

We watch them and we laugh.

Soon they will know.

How can there be a world without war, can such a thing ever exist?

No.

They are going to find that out the hard way.
