Thin Line Between Love and Death

~Chapter 1 ~


As always Duo was the first pilot to land his gundam and enter the safe house, while the other pilots were still a mile behind. When the other pilots entered the house what they found shocked them.

There was nothing but silence.

No Duo running around singing 'I'm hunger, where's the food' at the top of his lungs. No blaring of Duo's favorite music. No Duo talking their ears off. No Duo asking or begging to go and take them out to see the town.

Nothing.

Nothing but silence.

They were getting worried, but didn't show it. Excepted for Quatre, you could see it in his eyes, he was very worried. Quatre who was in front of the other's turned to them with questioning eyes. All they could do is shrug their shoulders. Quatre quickly turned and ran up stairs to Duo's
room.

~ Duo ~

'Why! Why didn't I kill that bastard!! I should've killed him!! Why, oh why didn't I kill that sick fuck!!!' Duo yelled at himself as he was shaking.

~ Flash back ~

Heero looked at his fellow pilots. "Now does every one know what they have to do?" The other 4 pilots nodded then got to their destinations.

Trowa's job was to set bombs around the building. Wufei had to set bombs around the base and Quatre had to set bombs in the hanger. Heero's job was to hack into their main computer while Duo hacked the information of the mobile dolls which was in an office, in the hanger.

After Duo got the information he was making his way to his Gundam, which was located a half a mile from the base. He heard a soldier talking to a group of soldier sitting at a table in the hanger.

"You should have seen it when I helped spread the plague on L-2. Watching those street rats's entire drop like flies. HAHAHAHAHA now those were the good days."

Duo was in such a shock he was shaking. Then he grabbed for his gun when he saw the soldier leaving the base, when he remembered Heero say.

^Do not shot anyone. If you do then it will alert the others. We want to kill as many as we can when the bombs go off.^

'Shit that's right! I wish he was out of sight so I could snap his little ne-. Fuck! The bombs!!' Duo ran as quickly and silently to his Gundam. The whole time he was piloting he was shaking like a leaf. After he landed he almost didn't make it to his bedroom's bathroom to empty his stomach.

~ End of flash back ~

'That was why. If I had shot him Heero would have killed me for endangering the mission. But he still got way!!'

*Knock, Knock, Knock* "Duo are you okay?!"

Duo gasped and his eyes snapped opened at sound of Quatre's voice through the door. He stumbled out of the bathroom.

*Knock, Knock, Knock, Knock, Knock* "Duo is something wrong?!"

'Good thing I locked the door' Duo put his mask back on. "I'll be out in a few minutes. Is food ready!?!" Duo heard Quatre give a sigh of relief then say. "Almost Duo. Just hurry up, okay?"
