A/N: Thanks again to ice princess 1185 who let me have the fic. Sorry about the delay in this fic. I kept meaning to do it then something would come up. Now I have class, which is extremely hard this time and work. I'm gonna try and post sooner so that this fic can be done.

~Last Chapter~

 

“Who am I?” asked Duo again

 

~Chapter 10~

 

“Well that has a two blade sword my friend” said the first soldier

 

“Explain” said Duo

 

“Well you're not really our friend so we should kill you now that you're awake but we would need to torture you first to get any information out of you that we could” said the second soldier

 

“But we're not going to do that” said the first soldier who gave the second solider a heated glare

 

“So then, what are you going to do?” asked Duo

 

“We are not going to do anything. We have already done too much by taking out the bullet” said the second soldier

 

“So…..?” said Duo

 

“So we are to leave you as you are. We cannot tell you anything or show you anything. In time I'm sure you will remember who you are and what has happened. Until then we can do nothing to help you. For this we are sorry” said the first soldier

 

With that the two soldiers left the room where Duo was.

 

Duo began pacing the room to try and remember something, anything that could be of use. But it was to no avail; no matter how hard he tried he just couldn't seem to do it. It was like there was a black hole and everything that he once knew had been sucked down the black hole.

 

-Safe house-

 

Heero was the first to wake up. Upon waking he sensed that first he wasn't alone in bed and second that he obviously didn't mind sleeping with whomever it was because he would have woken up sooner.

 

Just as Heero was about to move he noticed that an arm was wrapped around his waist and that he was sore. Rather that his ass was sore. The events of last night came back to him in a rush and he put things into place. Then snuggled back into Wufei's arms waiting for him to wake.

 

-Duo-

 

Duo still hadn't had any luck with trying to figure things out but he needed to get some food and maybe even a place to clean up.

 

As if Duo's mind knew what to do he went into street rat mode.

 

Duo became light as a feather on his feet, not making a sound. He started sticking to the walls but most importantly the shadows. Duo made it to the front door and then snuck out choosing a direction at random.

 

Duo made his way down the street keeping some of his attention on what he was doing and some part of him still trying to figure out what was happening.

 

`Seems like I used to do this' thought Duo `So I was a street brat. Fits with how I already know to find food and in what places to look. `

 

-Safe house-

 

Wufei woke up and Heero turned over so that he could see Wufei's face.

 

“Morning” said Wufei

 

“Hn” said Heero

 

“We need to talk about last night” said Wufei

 

“Ok” said Heero

 

“Last night we both said things and were vulnerable with everything that has happened. I just want you to know that I have no ties to you so if you want to leave then you may. There is no dishonor in leaving now” said Wufei

 

“You don't want this?” asked Heero now very confused

 

“I do, very much but I want you to know that if what happened last night was just from too many emotions at once, I won't think any less of you” said Wufei

 

“While you may have your reasons for saying what you just did, last night, everything I said I meant. Too many emotions or not, I meant every word” said Heero

 

Wufei took what Heero said at face value. But he knew that there was something else that he was not being told but figured that he would not like the answer so left it at that.

 

“Come on, Quatre probably has something ready for us to eat” said Wufei breaking the tension

 

Heero got out of bed with Wufei behind him. They both got dressed and then went to see what there was to fill their stomachs.

 

-Duo-

 

Duo had made his way down the street and found something to eat. Now he was looking for some place to freshen up or maybe some more food for later.

 

As Duo kept walking he tried to remember anything. But the only thing he could get were brief glances into what could anything from gas to memories.

 

 

 

 

Duo noticed that he walked right up to a grocery store.

 

`I think I remember this place' thought Duo `I remember coming with someone here. He was a little smaller then I and I had him laughing the whole time we were shopping. What was his name?'

 

-Safe house-

 

“Wufei, Heero, glad to see that you're awake finally” said Quatre

 

“Sorry, it was a late night for us” said Wufei

 

“It's ok, here's some food and after you're done Heero it's your turn to go get groceries” said Quatre “Here's the list and the money's on the counter”

 

Heero finished eating then took off to the store.

 

-Duo-

 

Duo looked up and down the aisles seeing what he might be able to steal and trying to find room for everything that he wanted.

 

As he went to turn down the next aisle he noticed that he was not alone any more.

 

Down that very same aisle Duo saw a chocolate covered head.

 

To say Duo was entranced would be an understatement. Duo just stood and watched this person. Then the person realized that they were being watched and turned around. Right before they saw Duo, Duo ran but he saw the person's eyes. They were the bluest eyes any body could have.

 

-Heero-

 

As Heero was comparing different selections he noticed that someone was watching him. As he turned around he saw the fleeting end of a braid.

 

`That has to be Duo' said Heero `But Duo's dead…. I have to know'

 

So Heero ran after the person in hopes of getting to them before they left the store.

 

Just as Duo was almost out the door he heard someone calling a name and he thought he knew the voice.

 

“DUO!” shouted Heero
