Chapter 7: Coffee and Tea

Wufei opened the door to his shared residence with Duo, "Shh, Duo's probably asleep." He whispered to Sally who was apparently asleep herself because she was still in to car. Wufei chuckled, he walked over and lifted the girl up. Takeing her to a guest bedroom he laid her down and pulled the covers over her.

~Flash back~

"Sally, I'm happy for you." Wufei said in a monotone voice, looking at the gushing girl. Sally gushing it was almost funny to watch, but Wufei thought it made her look beautiful, he'd never told her he liked her and now, she would be married.

"Really, thanks," she hugged him, "Your approval means the world to me, … um Wufei, do you think you could um… walk me down the isle?"

He stood star struck, but his featured softened "Of course, Sally, I would be honored."

That night he went to his wife's grave, (1) he talk to her, that's the day he decided to move on, a month later he stared to date Duo, a week after Sally's wedding but Sally frequented his thoughts. Till this day

~End Flashback~

Wufei sat in a chair watching Sally sleep, 'she's so beautiful' he thought before he fell asleep.

~Next morning~

"Duo, wake up." Heero's voice was soft, not a very common occurrence. He didn't want to wake the 'sleeping beauty' but he had no choice he'd been laying there for 3 hours watching him sleep, it was 12 noon.

Duo heard Heero's voice and thought it was a dream, he smiled and snuggled deeper into the other mans chest, Heero considered the fact that he could now die happy for the umpteenth time since yesterday night before once again insisting Duo wake up.

"10 more min." Duo said groggily.

"Duo it's 12, get your ass out of bed." Heero playfully but sharply tugged Duos braid. "Your weddings tomorrow." He laughed.

Duo sat up pouting and rubbing the back of his head. The events of last night came back to him and he had to fight a smile. "Ow Heero, that hurt you ass."

Ding Dong Ding Dong the doorbell sounded.

Wufei woke with a start, he had been having a dream, it was a dream about the past, about Merian, he shrugged it off. Then he noticed he'd fallen asleep in Sally's room. 'I hope Duo won't mind' he thought then got up to get the bell.

"Hey Quatre, Trowa." He greeted.

"Hey, we just came by to apologies about, well backing out of the wedding tomorrow. We're sorry, real sorry."

"That's ok." Wufei assured them.

"Hey guys, Duo greeted his friends.

"Hn" Heero said.

"Did we wake you?" Trowa ask

"Yea" all answered.

"Good morning" Sally's voice came into the room.

"Sally's here?" Duo ask, Wufei nodded.

The group sat on the couch and Heero made Coffee and Tea, they talked about the wedding and why the other couple dropped out and what Sally was going to do, which was get a divorce, after Trowa and Quatre left, Heero was chatting with Sally, Duo went to get some popcorn he just felt like eating (2) and Wufei accompanied him.

"I'm sorry I didn't come to bed last night, I fell asleep, um, on the couch." 'Better not say in the room I gave Sally'

"That's alright, I was in the guest room without windows, you know how I hate thunderstorms." 'Not a lie just not the whole truth' Duo reasoned.

'He doesn't like thunderstorms, hum, I didn't know that' "Well, sorry anyway, lets get back to our company." Duo nodded and they went back out to converse with Heero and Sally. It turned into two conversations Sally and Wufei, and Duo and Heero, and no one noticed.

The wedding was tomorrow.
