Chapter 8: Act On Your Emotions

~At the church~

"Grooms side over here, Grooms side over there, hehe"(1) Duo greeted the entering guests with a smile, no matter how off he felt, the smiling guests warmed his heart, everyone seemed to think he was rather funny.

"Duo, stop you need to get ready." Came a slightly perturbed voice.

"Ah, alright, don't get your panties in a bunch Q." With that Duo and Quatre went down in the lower part of the church, to change.

Heero entered the church, a chirping girl attached to his arm, his features blatantly showing his discomfort and dislike for the girl. "Don't you agree" Relena cooed.

"Hn."

"Oh, Heero, I just love you."

"Hn."

"On our wedding day…"

"RELENA, I don't love you, I never will, hell, would you take a hint, I have a girlfriend, why are you still throwing yourself at ME, what did I do to deserve this?" Obviously not the right question.

"Well, yours just what every girl could want, your …" Relena continued to, list why she 'loved' Heero, not at all affected by his rant or the fact that everyone was staring and talking about her ignorance.

"Would it discourage you if I were to say I were gay?" Heero ask. Relena continued to talk, "Didn't think so."

The wedding was going to begin in a half an hour, when Wufei poked his head up from the basement looking for Quatre; all he could find was Heero. "Heero, um, may I talk to you."

Heero nodded vigorously, anything to escape Relena, "Excuse me, Miss rich bitch." Heero stood and walked off with Wufei.

"Heero?"

"I hate her, and I am fighting to keep myself from killing her, she should die, she's delusional." He nodded, then ask, "So, why pray tell did you ask to talk to me?"

"Well," the two stopped and took a seat in a lower room, "You know Sally chouse not to come today." Heero nodded that he did, "well um, it is because she, she."

"Out with it."

" Earlier today she came to me, and…"

~Flashback~

"Wufei, may I speak with you." Sally ask.

"Of course, Ms. PO." They both smirked at the use of her maiden name.

"Wufei, your, just so sweet, that's what I like about you, you know, I never pegged you as gay." She laughed

"Well, I'm bisexual, I think love comes in all forms." He sat across from Sally who seemed a little faint and pale.

"So, you love Duo then." It was a statement not a question, she tried to smile but her voice gave away her current state of heartbreak.

"Yes, I love him very much, sometimes in life you are blessed to be with someone you love, some people even get to be with there soul mates," Wufei saddened 'not me' he added silently, ' at least I get to be with someone I do love, even if they aren't my first choice', "Others never find a shared love at all, no less a soul mate, the worst are toughs who find there soul mates but then can't have them."

Sally started to cry, "what about people who fall in love with two people and go for the wrong one because they appeared interested, then when that gets fucked, the only person you ever really wanted, the only person you'd ever want to spend the rest of your life with, is not available, what if you find out how much they mean too late, you've found your soul mate, Wufei, and I've found mine, only problem is your mine but I'm not yours." She ran from the room leaving a very baffled and stunned Wufei in her wake.

~End flashback~

"So, I was left completely stunned." Wufei ran a hand through his hair and sighed.

"Do you love her?"(2)

Wufei's head shot up, "Excuse me?"

"To quote a very wise man and good friend, 'no, you're not excused', Wufei answer my question, I never noticed before but the way you talk about Sally warrants love."

"I love Duo." Wufei said obstinately.

"I know, you do, I don't question that, but who do you love more?" Heero turned to leave. "Act on your emotions" just as he reached the door he turned, "That is my advice to you, the only good advice I've ever received and if you decide to marry Duo, my best wishes, but consider how dishonorable it would be to deceive so many people. I'm a fool, weak, Duo loves you so does Sally, and they could both handle the rejection, but I warn you, you can't have both, hurt either," 'especially Duo', "and I'll kill you." He left.

~ In another room~

"Duo, oh Duo there you are I was looking for you, your not really going to marry that jackass are you, I'm your soul mate not him."

"Hilde, sweetie, no he ain't and neither are you, but I love him and we are ONLY friends, you never liked me as more until I got engaged, WHY?"

Hilde stood still, she thought, "Aa, Duo it took that to make me realize that loved you, I can't loose you, you're the closest thing I have to family and he'll take you away, no I can't have that besides, you really don't want him all that much really, you can't hell you look a Heero with more passion than him, if you'd just marry me we'd always be together, and it would be perfect, please."

"We'd be miserable, Hilde, I love you like a sister, and I think I get it now, you do love me." She nodded, smiling, "AS a BROTHER," Hilde stood there and gawked. "Nothing more, but let me tell you, you will never loose me," He grabbed her shoulders, "NEVER, Hilde your like my sister, I'll never leave you, ok."

"Duo."

Then he kissed her, (3)"Well how did that feel?"

She chuckled and sighed, "Like kissing my brother."

~Wedding ceremony~

"Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to…" The preacher droned on.

'I don't fell right' Duo looked to his right ever so slightly to see Heero, he was smiling but it was fake, he was clearly zoned out, 'something else we have in common', it was all to surreal to Duo, like he was just watching himself get married, against his will.

'No, that would be dishonorable' Wufei thought ' I can't do that to Duo, no less now' then Heero's words rang out in his head, 'consider how dishonorable it would be to deceive so many people' was he deceiving people, 'yes' he was just going to hurt a lot of people, Heero's words made since, well all except the thing about him being weak and all, did he love Duo enough to forget Sally or be around her without temptation, if he did then he couldn't marry him, 'it's late to think about theses things but here goes'

'I can't do this, I feel sick' Duo thought. Over and over again.

"Do you …"Wufei looked up at the silence.

"Hu?" most of the chapel shook with laughter.

"Do You Take Him, To Be You LAWFULLY WEDDED HUSBAND…"

"No" the chapel gasp.

"Oh, thank god" Duo said under breath.

"I'm sorry Duo, I love you but earlier today, something we should talk about in private, came up, I can't marry you."

"Oh, thank god" Duo said this a little loader, "I mean I understand, I mean…" Duo smiled broadly and, … past out. Heero caught him.

1.) When my half brother had his commitment ceremony he directed guests like that, sew me I thought it was funny.

Shinigami: yeah I know it was an odd place to end it, but there will be an epilogue, so yep that was it, the end of the actual story.

MyMy: I'll be nice, for today, it was a fairly good ending, don't ya think.
