"What ties them together?" she mused, the artificial lighting of the ship reflecting off her glasses. She seemed to stare out the window, but it was hard to tell the truth with her eyes hidden the way they were.
"Duty does, my dear lady. Duty to a cause…" Treize brushed a stray hair out of his eyes, the gesture careless, his other hand bringing a wine glass to his waiting lips. His eyes slipped closed and the glass stayed near his face as he savored the flavor. He didn't bother to look in Une's direction when the tap- tap of her heels picked up again. She was pacing, her mind striving for a non-existent answer to a more than familiar question: How to eliminate the Gundam Pilots? She'd been racking her brain for days now and had had no lick what-so-ever. He set his glasses on the coffee table and sighed. Zechs would return soon, but soon would never be quick enough.
