Duo's Pov
"It was when I was a little kid. I don't remember my parents. The only thing I remember is growing up in the orphanage and Sister Helen. Sister Helen... she always wanted to cut my hair, so I would always run off when she tried. She was very nice and you couldn't stay mad at her for long." Duo paused, as if in thought. "One day when she threatened me about my hair I ran off, but when I got back she wasn't there. No one was. The church was blown up in a battle. Everyone I loved.... was dead including her." Duo said with shudder.
"When I heard that announcment I couldn't stop seeing her and it wasn't when she was alive. I felt so mad that the colonists could play with people's beliefs and ways of living. They forgot the past and sometimes I wish I could too."
Before Duo could react he felt Heero hugging him. What the? What's wrong with him? I'm dreaming aren't I? "Heero are you alright?"
Heero showed his face to Duo. The sorrow in his eyes told Duo he understood and this was no dream. As Heero moved away he simply said as if nothing happened, " So, that's why you acted stupid." Me, acting stupid who just went all cuddly? "Yea, I guess. So why do you fight? And don't give me, I am a robot crap." Duo didn't even try to hide the smile.
"When I was old enough I was taken to a camp and trained to operate heavy machinery. I was also taught in hand-to-hand combat, so you could say I am a robot. I learned quickly not to have feelings and because of that I don't have a grudge against Oz. It's more of liking the challenge and being faced with death, either dealing it or succumbing to it, I don't mind." Heero said with a glazed look in his eyes. "Here I thought my past was sad. Man, you never got to have fun. That must really suck." Wait a minute I have an idea! "Heero, will you come with me to someplace I know? 'm feeling better." Duo said with hope.
If I can show him that place I know that at least I can return some of the peace he gave me. "Where is it?" "I can't tell you it's a surprise. Come on I thought you like a challenge?" That'll get him. "Fine, but no tricks." "I wouldn't think about it" he said with a grin. "Go downstairs and I'll get all the stuff we need. Ok?" "I'll be waiting, but if your not down in 5 minutes I'm leaving. I have better things to do." Heero said as he walked out.
Yea, sure cleaning the Gundum sounds a lot better then what I have in mind. Thank goodness I'm good at sarcasm, where would the world be without it? Now, where is my basket? A wide grin spread over Duo's face.

Heero's Pov
I wonder where we are going? Why can't I stop thinking about hugging him? I was so happy holding him in my arms. I could say I do care, I need you as an comrade even if your a baka! I could have, but I was trained to well, even now I feel as if I did something wrong. Did I?
I'm glad he told me, I can finally understand the braid head, but why did I even feel the need to help him, to comfort him?
I'll get some rest after we go to his place. The look on his face says "expect fun!".
Finally Heero heard Duo crashing through the hallway door. "Sorry, I got trapped! Damn door never stays open long enough to get my stuff through." "Duo, why do you have a basket in your hand?" "Can't you guess? We are going to pick strawberries." Duo laughed out right at the look on Heero's face. "Don't worry, we are just going to go get some food and head out to a spot I know, it's very beautiful." Duo said with complete confidence. This better be worth it. I don't think I would mind anyways, staying in the house is killing him, you can tell by his crazy ideas. "Fine, but your carrying the basket, you already look like a baka." "Was that a joke? I don't think it was very funny." Duo said with a fake scowl. He seems like he is back to his strange self.
