Prologue:

Which, unlike the rest of the story, is in first person.

------------------------------------------

Y'know, things could easily have gone horribly wrong. We all knew that to some level, especially after we found out that our home was just one of many alternate universes centered around certain people and events. It just didn't really hit us until we encountered a reality where things did go horribly, terribly, wrong.

Well not all of us; just myself, Duo, Wufei, and Aurume. Oh, I'm Amiryln by the way, Amiryln Iylian; everyone calls me Emmy though. It's kind of funny too because before this the four of us weren't really all that close. We were friends, but mostly by association. Meaning we were part of a larger group that included people who were our close friends.

Me and Duo had occasionally gotten together for drinks (coffee) and practical-joke plotting sessions but we weren't really close. More like partners in crime. We've got a lot in common but our natural hyper-active attitudes have a tendency of clashing.

Wufei is my best friend Jori's half-brother as well as my once student's boyfriend, so I'd known him for quite a while but we didn't really know each other.

Aurume... well we'd been friends for years before we met most of the others but it was still mostly through association with her fiancé William. She and I had almost nothing in common and were in fact almost complete oposites. Her being sort of shy and quiet and I being outgoing and... less than quiet.

The only reasons we were all 'friends' were the facts that: we were all part of the Magical and Paranormal Community (MAPC) in some way, we'd all participated in the war of 195 in some way, we'd all been involved in the Final Battle (which hadn't actually had anything to do with the war but ended it by default), and we all attended the same Gurps Anime RPG sessions. Actually that's mostly what connects most of our group together. Weird huh? Magic, War, and Anime bringing some of the most important, influencial, and powerful people in the galaxy together.

So how, one might ask, did the four of us end up visiting this other dimension together?

Easy: It was either a complete cosmic accident... or divine intervention. It's hard to tell when the words 'normal' and 'reality' don't apply to you anymore.

It all started in a coffee house located on the recently constructed L5 colony Serenity....

Chapter One:

In which our hero's are introduced and take an unexpected trip.

-----------------

Date: (September 9th AC 215) 12:47 PM

Location: Home Universe, L5, Serenity Colony, Stefen's Cafe

Aurume was early. Either that or she was so astoundingly late that she'd missed the reunion and everyone was already gone. However, unless every single clock on this colony was wrong, she was going to bet on the first option.

She stood just outside the cafe gazing through the windows and shivering slightly in the pre-fabricated autumn afternoon air. "Jori's done far to good a job on this place's weather-system," she complained quietly as she glanced up at the dark clouds in the enchanted skies. It looked like a storm was coming, and a bad one too. It didn't help that she was still dressed for the insanely hot weather of the Sahara desert. Well, standing out here isn't going to help me any. With another wary glance up at the sky she stepped into the empty cafe.

The inside of Stefen's was filled with that kind of comfortable half-light commonly found in cafe's everywhere, and the furnishing was nicely understated in somber colors. Soft jazz music played in the background adding to the general aura of welcome. Feeling the day's worries and strain fade away Aurume smiled in appreciation and admiration for whoever had designed the cafe.

There was no one behind the bar or anywhere else- but that was to be expected since this was to be a private party. As it was, if she hadn't been on the 'invited' list, she wouldn't have been able to get anywhere near the cafe. The wards and sheilding were so powerful that she almost hadn't noticed them, and she was one of the most powerful paranormals in the Earth-Sphere; only Quatre could match her in the psychic ability department. Must be Milliard and Ryle's work. Though those two were merely average in the magic and paranormal department, their skill and power in sheilding and wards was unparalleled when they worked together. They made a pretty cute couple too.

Ignoring the lack of people, Aurume wandered over to the bar and poured herself a cup of apple-cider. I hope the others get here soon, she sighed dreamily, especially Will-chan. Her fiancé; William Sky. It had been three months since he'd proposed to her but it still felt like yesterday and her soul filled with unspeakable joy everytime she thought of it. They'd actually met over twenty years ago, before they'd even gotten involved in the whole world-revolution slash stop-the-mad-evil-cultists-from-destroying-the-universe thing in 195. It had been love at first sight but neither of them had actually really thought of marriage until recently. It wasn't as if time really mattered after all; one of the many advantages of being a member of the MAPC was near immortality and guarenteed reincarnation if one ever did manage to kick the proverbial bucket. Still, it was kind of nice to formallize it.

Her ruminations were suddenly interupted by a familiar mind-call. :Hey 'Ru! Anyone else there yet?:

Aurume grinned and sent back, :No, just me Duo. I'm early.:

:What no 'Will-chan'?: She could sense his playful amusement easily.

:He's coming with Quatre and Trowa,: she replied, blushing slightly.

Both she and William lived with Quatre and Trowa in their overly large desert villa in the Sahara but a few weeks ago they'd all been invited to L4 to visit his sister Iria. Unfortunately Aurume hadn't been able to join them since she'd had a Maji-Council meeting on Serenity Island (of which the colony was named for). She'd insisted that William go with them at least since there wouldn't have been much for him to do with her in Council meetings all day. Thus was the reason he wasn't with her now.

:Oh yeah, I'd forgotten about that. heh. Anyway I'll be there in a few minutes. Ja!:

:Ja, Duo.: Aurume closed her eyes and sipped her cider contentedly; it was going to be great seeing everyone again. It had been such a long time since they all been together last.

Time: 1:05 PM

Location: On the way to Stefen's

A short distance away, having just finished his conversation with Aurume, another arrival was swiftly aproaching the cafe. Duo Maxwell. Pilot of the Gundam Deathscythe, cleric of Shinigami (first-class, limitted), and short-range telepath.

One might think that, with such a morbid theme going, he would be a pretty depressing guy to be around. Probably all angsty and somber like most of Shinigami's clerics. They'd be wrong. Duo was probably one of the most cheerful and happy people to have ever joined the clericy. And, while that wasn't really saying much, the fact that 'regular' people considered him to be cheerful and happy did. The fact of the matter was that Duo and Death were pals; he was even allowed to her Shi-chan.

This hadn't always been the case of course. Before he'd actually met Shinigami face-to-face Duo's cheerfulness hadn't been much more then a clever act. That was the past though, and now he knew better than to be all depressed and sad if someone died. He'd seen the various afterlives, and he'd actually been reunited with lost friends and family who'd opted for reincarnation. Death wasn't an end, it was a beginning. Not that he wouldn't be upset if someone close to him died, but he knew full well that they'd eventually be reunited. Even if he had to get Shi-chan's permission to visit them in an Afterlife.

In any case he was causing no end of alarm to the various pedestrians he passed on his way to the cafe. What with his official black clericals of Shi-chan, his long dark-purple braid (he's an otaku), his trusty mini-beam-scythe (which he was using as a walking staff), and his crazy-mischief grin, the poor normal people were probably terrified. Silly of them really; if he'd been on official 'business' they wouldn't have seen him at all.

Oh well, just as long as they didn't start bring out flaming pitchforks and forming a mob it was no concern of his if they were afraid of who he represented. At least his friends understood, and that was really all that mattered to him.

Speaking of friends it was going to be really great seeing everyone together again. The last time the whole lot of them had gotten together was that time Amiryln and Jori had put together that enchanted live-action rpg session back in 205. Duo's grin turned slightly chaotic as he recalled that particular incident.

They had been getting together for gaming nights since... well he was pretty sure htey'd started during the actual war, before the whole cultist thing even, but until Jori and Emmy had combind magic and high technology it had all been pen-and-paper.

At the time the whole holo-illusion thing had seemed like a really good idea. They'd each gain the illusionary appearance and abilities of their Gurps Anime characters and the rest depended on their acting skills. In fact everything went just fine for almost three hours before they accidently caught the attention of a bored Chaos diety they hadn't known was real. Then things went to pot.

The diety, commonly refered to as L-sama, or the Lord of Nightmares, had caused a reality-surge. Which in turn caused the oblivious rpgers to merge with their characters, taking on the appearances, skills, and personalities of their characters for real. Worst of all was the fact that in almost everyone's case their original selfs were completely submerged. Only four of them had remained untouched... well mostly untouched. Amiryln, Zechs (or Milliard as he was going by now), Ryle, and Lady Une. They had taken on the appearances and abilities of their characters and some of their personalities, but had retained their true memories. Thus they had been the 'only hope' to undo the reality-surge and fix everyone.

They'd succeeded of course, though only they knew exactly how, but there had been lasting effects and reprecusions. The latter being that no one ever tried the holo-illusion method of role playing again, and even went so far as to completely change the genre of their normal rpg sessions to something other than 'fantasy-anime'. The formor being the fact that there were those among them who had gained a permenent ability to access the form, skills, and basic personality of their character at will. Duo was one of them; thus the purple hair. Aurume was another, as were all four of the 'heroes'. He wasn't sure about anyone else but he did know that almost no one used this ability. A lot of them didn't even want to be reminded of the whole incident; apparently some people had done things they wouldn't normally have and regretted it. That was probably one of the main reasons they hadn't all gotten together since then too....

Speaking of which, why were they having this reunion? No one he'd asked seemed to know; apparently the only one who did was Amiryln, who was also the one who'd sent everyone the invitations. Oh well, I guess I'll find out with everyone else.

"Are you just going to stand there all day or are you going to go in?"

Duo blinked, suddenly realizing that he had, indeed, arrived at his destination and had been staring at the door. And he recognized that voice.... "'Fei-chan!"

----

Time: 1:06 (several minutes before the end of the last scene)

Location: On the way to Stefen's

Wufei Chang was not in the best of moods. Firstly he'd been forced to get up three hours earlier than he normally would have when his sister (curse her for being a morning person) Jori had shown up at the doorstep of his apartment and rung the doorbell fifty-billion times. And she didn't even have a good reason, all she'd wanted was to borrow some duct-tape. He didn't even want to guess what she needed that for... especially considering the fact that they were having that reunion at Stefen's latter. Then, just as he'd managed to get back to sleep, Treize had called asking if he had any plans for after the reunion. Wufei hadn't really minded that but he'd been completely unable to get back to sleep. So he'd started his usual routine early, inhaled far more coffee than was healthy, and had been running on two and a half hours sleep all day. It didn't help in the slightest that he'd been unable to find his hair-elastics and had thus been forced to wear it down.

Finally, to top off an already bad day, Jori had called and asked him to go to the cafe an hour early to 'man the bar'. Of course the reason for this was undoubtedly to make sure neither Amiryln or Duo got their hands on anything too caffinated, and that was a rather good cause, but he would have much rather have been having a nap.

And so here he was, disgruntled and tired, only to find that he hadn't gotten there a moment too soon. For there Duo was, staring at the front door without actually seeing it; obviously deep in his own thoughts. At least he hadn't gone in yet; that would have been bad.

"Are you going to stand there all day or are you going to go in?"

"'Fei-chan!" Duo greeted with his usual cheer and a tackle-glomp which he completely failed to dodge. "It's been ages! How've you been man?"

Wufei sweatdropped. "Fine. Or rather I would be fine if you got off of me!"

Duo blushed slightly and helped him up, "Sorry about that 'Fei, but really, it's gotta have been years since I saw you last, and hey! I love the hair."

Giving a long suffering sigh, Wufei grumbled, "I know, and you have obviously not changed a bit."

"Have too! I've got my first-class rank now! All I need now is to get rid of that pesky 'limited' status and I'll outrank everyone 'cept for Shi-chan Herself! Cool huh?"

Only Duo would find being the highest ranking cleric of the god of death 'cool' but Wufei just smiled and nodded. "Is anyone else here yet?" He knew that the cleric would have checked ahead with his telepathy.

"Just Aurume," Duo replied with a shrug as he opened the door, "we're kind of early."

"So you are," agreed Aurume, lifting her second apple-cider in greeting.

Wufei followed Duo in, slipping behind the bar and effectivly making sure Duo got Decaf. "I wasn't expecting anyone else to be here yet," he confessed as the purple-haired cleric sat down beside the dark-haired psychic.

"I take it you were sent to regulate?" Duo noted as he grimaced at the horribly non-caffinated beverage before him.

"It was Jori's idea." Wufei deliberatly left out the fact that he agreed with said idea.

"Understandable," commented Aurume with a grin, "especially considering the fact that Emmy is hardly going to be reasonable about telling us why we're all here if she's hyper."

They all grimmaced at the memory of the time they'd let Amiryln have caffine before having to make an important speech. A speech regarding the MAPC at Relena's official corination as Queen of Sanq. If it weren't for the fact that she was a remarkably charismatic person and people tended to like her anyway it could have been a disaster. As it was Relena had refused to even be seen anywhere near her for three years after that.

"That's for sure; Emmy can be worse than Duo in Dios-mode when she's had caffine."

"Am not!" Cried an indignant voice from the entrance and the three of them turned as one to see none other than Amiryln Iylian herself standing there. "Eh heh heh," dissembled Duo. "Hey Em, we were just talking about you..."

----

Time: 1:15 (a few moments previous)

Location: a park somewhere on Serenity Colony, on the way to Stefen's

"Drat. It's gonna rain. I hate rain." Stated Amiryln unnecessarily as she gazed up at the darkening afternoon sky much like Aurume had a while before. Unlike Aurume however, Emmy wasn't actually on her way to Stefen's yet. In fact she had full intentions of being the last person to show up... well next to Jori who'd already told her she'd be late. But Jori already knew why she'd called everyone together so she didn't count anyway. "No matter. No stormy weather can stop me from unvealing my newest project! Bwahahahahahahahahahaha!"

A few ducks looked at her funny but other than that no one commented on her outburst; which was probably because the park she was standing in was almost completely deserted. A sudden crash of thunder made her pause though. But what if it starts raining before I get to the cafe? I'll get all wet! She frowned deeply, rethinking her options. She'd really wanted to keep everyone waiting for her to get there but... if she was going to get wet....

"Well maybe if I got there early and just sat in a corner booth looking mysterious... not telling anyone anything... that would be evil. Wouldn't it?" The ducks didn't answer her. "Not that I am evil or anything, but it would totally ruin the fun if I just told anyone who asked. It's gotta be dramatic." And I can hardly be dramatic if I'm all wet!

Thus decided, she grabbed her backpack and took off towards Stefen's at a rapid pace, occasionally giving the sky a worried glance. Unfortunately she happened to be on the exact oposite side of Serenity Colony from the cafe and it really didn't look like she was going to make it. Oh no, oh no. Don't waaaannnna get wet! Wish I could just be there... "Hey wait a minute, why can't I 'just be there'? I am a mage after all. Emmy no baka."

Feeling like a complete imbecile she stopped and pushed back her aquaphobia enough to concentrate on a teleportation spell. A second latter she temporarily blinked out of then back into existence a few paces away from the entrance of Stefen's. Milliard and Ryle's wards were the only things that prevented her from teleporting right in. She was an Adept-Avatar class sorceress but she doubted even a god could get through those wards without permission. Emmy paused at the door to give the sky a triumphant 'nya nya you didn't get me wet' look, then entered quietly. Drat, I'm not here first. Aurume, Duo, and Wufei were already there; which meant she couldn't just hide in the back. Hey hadn't noticed her yet but... Wufei was saying something, "...for sure; Emmy can be worse than Duo in Dios mode when she's had caffine."

"Am not!" She cried in utter indignation, storming up to the bar, all thoughts of hiding forgotten. "Eh heh heh," laughed Duo nervously. "Hey Em, we were just talking about you..."

"So I heard," she stated dryly, glaring at the lot of them. Then she smiled cheerfully and sat down beside Duo. Outside the thunder crashed again and for just a moment Emmy felt a sudden chill.

-----

Time: 1:25

Location: Stefen's

Accepting the non-caffinated herbal tea Wufei handed her, Emmy asked, "So why're you all here so early? I wasn't expecting anyone to show up for ages yet."

Duo answered for everyone, "Well my shuttle arrived early so I decided to just come straight here. I think 'Ru probably had the same problem, and 'Fei's here was sent by Jori to make sure me'n you didn't get any coffee."

Aurume nodded, "That's about right; someone went and made all the shuttles faster and forgot to tell their pilots."

Wufei and Aurume gave the other two compulsive mischief-makers suspicious looks. "Wasn't me," disclaimed Duo with a shrug, "It's going to take all the fun out of complaining about the slow flights."

"Not me either," Amiryln added. "Might'a been Jori though. She's always going and 'improving' things without telling anyone."

They shuddered at the thought of some of the 'improvements' the maji-scientist had made. Like the time she gave Relena's pink limo flight capability, maji-sheilds, monster-truck tires, and a transitional radio. Probably would have traumatized the Queen of Sanq for life if she hadn't been used to that type of thing happening by then.

"Oh well, could have been anyone I guess." 'Rume finished off the subject before it got scary.

The four of them fell into a comfortable silence, sipping their beverages and contemplating random things. For a while the only sound was the soft strains of a lone saxophone on the speakers. It wasn't really like they had much to say to eachother anyway; even though they hadn't seen eachother in person they still kept in touch through the others and by e-mail.

"What about you Emmy?" Duo asked out of the blue.

She blinked and Wufei clarified. "We weren't expecting you to show up until after everyone else did."

Emmy gestured out the window and shuddered slightly, "I was going to... but it's gonna rain and I didn't wanna get wet."

Everyone nodded wisely. Amiryln's aquaphobia wasn't exactly dehabilitating, and she could overthrow it if lives depended on it, but it had resulted in quite a few interesting incidents over the years. Like the time they'd been exploring some ancient ruins and the celing had started to drip. She'd complained, cast her most powerful shielding spell to keep out the water, and refused to go any further until someone called a plumber and fixed the leak. And that was her being reasonable.

"Well it's nice that you're here now anyway Emmy," Aurume said comfortingly.

Emmy pouted, "Better than getting wet; but it totally ruined my plans for a dramatic entrance."

"I... see," Wufei repressed the instinctive dread at the thought of Amiryln's idea of a dramatic entrance.

"So why'd ya call us all here?" Duo asked casually, breaking the sudden tension, though he doubted the crimson-haired sorceress would actually tell them.

He was right; Emmy smirked and said. "Oh! That is... a secret."

They sweatdropped; should have known she'd say that.

---

Time: 1:59

Location: Stefen's, the Astral Plane

"So when do you think everyone else is going to get here?" Aurume asked some time latter, wondering more specificly when William was going to arrive.

The four of them had spent the last half-hour talking of old times and sharing gossip about the people they knew. They weren't exactly the best of friends but they'd been through quite a bit together over the two or so decades they'd known each other. Considering the fact that they all led interesting lives they'd had all sorts of things to share, but 'Rume had lost interest in the conversation a while ago.

"Dunno," Emmy shrugged, giving the sky another glare through the window, and complained, "You'd have thought that Jori would've been nice enough to make sure we had nice weather today."

Wufei refilled her tea-cup. "Well at least the storm hasn't actually broken yet," he said.

"Yeah," added Duo with a smirk, "With luck and Shi-chan's blessing I hope everyone gets here before they get soaked."

The mere thought of Amiryln's reaction to everyone showing up wet made Aurume glance up from the book she'd taken out. "I can call everyone and warn them about the weather," she suggested.

"Hey that's a pretty good idea 'Ru-chan," Amiryln flashed her a grateful smile, "Go ahead."

"Okay just give me a moment...." She closed her eyes and opened her mind to the outside world, searching for the pressences of their friends.

The first thing that caught her attention when she accessed the astral plane wasn't what she was expecting at all. The strongest magical and paranormal auras were always what she focused on first. Meaning that she should have immedietly have been drawn to Amiryln, Quatre, and Treize since they were the most powerful among them in M&P (she was in this group as well), then Duo for his 1st Class clerical power, then Ryle, Milliard and Relena for their defensive and healing magics, and then any one of the others. That's what should have happened, it was a perfect way to find everyone, but it didn't. Instead she found her attention drawn to the astral pattern of the rising storm outside.

It was... amazing. She wouldn't have even noticed it if she hadn't been deliberatly searching for the most powerful; it was that highly shielded. And powerful it was... more powerful then any of them. I don't understand! Jori couldn't do this... hellfire I don't think even Emmy could make something this powerful. What is it... and why?

She let her astral self drift closer to the phenomena, entranced by the pure scope and power of it. All thoughts of finding the others faded away as she got closer and closer, like a moth to a flame. Moth to a flame? But... isn't... isn't that a bad thing? This thought suddenly brought her back to her senses and she realized she was way to close to the storm-energy then it was safe. What happened? I haven't lost control like that in decades! It's almost like it's... alive? She felt a chill go through her entire being at this thought; if it was alive... with such power...

:What, who are you?: she demanded, :What are you doing here?:

Silence answered her but as she began to ask again the storm Spoke in a Voice that she recognized immedietly, though she'd only heard it once.

:Greetings, Lady Aurume. You know who I am... and I think you can guess why I'm here.:

'Rume gasped, :L-sama! But, but... are you why Emmy called us all together?:

:Yes,: Aurume could feel the smirk in the Voice,:though she doesn't know it yet, Amiryln is my Chosen Avatar in your universe. She hasn't a clue.:

Something appoaching relief broke through her panic: if the Lord of Nightmares was responible for the reunion then she'd probably wait until everyone else got there. That means I can warn everyone!

:Actually no.: stated the Chaos deity smugly and Aurume cursed herself for not shielding her thought better. :See, I don't really need the others. All I need is the four of you. I've just been waiting for the others to get close enough to watch.:

:Oh.: 'Rume stated numbly. Not quite sure what else to do she asked, :Why? I mean why us? And what do you want us for?: At least, since Emmy had apparently been chosen as this diety's Avatar they were probably at least somewhat safe. She hoped.

:Everything will be revealed in time but I will tell you that you will be safe if you're careful. Have fun!:

With that she was propelled forcibly back to her real body.

Time: 2:05

Location: Stefen's

"It shouldn't take 'Ru-chan so long to fnd everyone. Should it?" Emmy asked Duo worriedly.

The braided cleric shook his head wordlessly and Wufei shifted in his seat nervously. From the moment Aurume had 'left' to warn everyone about the bad weather the three of them had gotten an odd feeling of impreding doom. There wasn't any reason for them to feel that way but it was strong enough that Amiryln had summoned her maji-staff out of her sub-space pocket and prepared a random attack-spell. Duo and Wufei had simularly readied their prefered weapons and they were all on full alert.

"I hope she's okay..." Duo had tried to call for help but there wasn't anyone in his telepathic range... either that or he was being blocked. It hadn't occurred to them that they had a phone; but even if it had they wouldn't have been able to use it. Lines were down all over Serenity Colony.

"Likewise," Wufei added, "and that the others are all right as well."

Before anyone could comment further several things happened at once. Lightning flashed directly outside, blinding them momentarily, as the storm finally broke. The building shock with resounding crash of thunder, and Aurume opened her eyes and screamed, "Emmy the Storm is L-sama!!!"

The warning came too late of course. Before the psychic's words could even sink in in the world flashed brightly and they were overwhelmed by a the immense Power of L-sama's teleportation spell.

---

Time: That moment

Location: Half a block away

Ryle and Milliard had been deep in conversation ever since they'd left the shuttleport. They'd noticed the darkening skies but, like most everyone else, hadn't really paid them any heed. The sudden flash of lightning directly in front of their destination did though. As did the thunder that followed and the drenching rain. Even so they were completly unprepared for the whiplash of their own power as the immensly powerful wards they'd put on Stefen's were shattered. They both collapsed into unconsciousness where they stood.

And so neither of them were able to see the cafe disappear in a flash of blue and pink magical light.

---

Time: 2:15

Location: The empty lot where Stefen's had just been.

It was a rather odd gathering that stood on the lot that had recently contained the cafe Stefen's. Some of the Earth-Sphere's most powerful people, in both magic and politcs, mixed with a few regular 'normal' people. They'd all been invited to the now missing cafe by Amiryln for unknown reasons and had arrived five minutes too late.

"Who ever did this...." Quatre left the rest unsaid. It was obvious by the still unconcious forms of Ryle and Milliard that who or what did this was probably a god. The question was which one; and why?

"Aurume was in there...." William announced numbly.

"So was 'Fei... and I think Emmy and Duo too," added Jori who'd shown up a second too late after finally realizsing that something was wrong with her weather system.

There was no doubt that those four had been in the cafe when it disapeared; they were the only ones who were missing from their group, and the only one's who's presence couldn't be found anywhere in the entire Earth-Sphere.

Everyone was silent for a moment, stunned by the thought that something like this could happen.

Suddenly Lady Une spoke up, "It was L-sama." She spoke with such certainity that everyone turned to her. "There's still a bit of Her aura lingering," she clarified, "I remember it from when She interfered in the Game."

Now that it had been pointed out the rest of them noticed it too. Relena asked what everyone wanted to know, "But why would She do this? Why kidnap them?"

No one had an answer to this.

End Chapter One

-----------------------------

Author's notes:

Well I hope this made at least a little sense.

See, I was working on a AU Gundam Wing universe where everyone got nifty powers and the whole story-line diverged from somewhere in the beginning of the series. The result being that everyone ended up friends and got near imortallity and lots of cool adventures. It was to be a nice lighthearted AU, sort of the opposite of the typical angst. Then the other day I read this really horribly angsty fic where a good portion of the cast died or suffered horribly and an idea came to me. What if I sent some of the happy-go-lucky, mostly innocent, but quite rather powerful characters from my AU to a dark, angsty AU? What if they had to make things better before they could return home?

Oh yeah, and it takes place in diffrent times too. AC 215 to be exact. However, because of certain things the characters don't look that much older than teenagers. Also, because of the fact that most of the characters are otaku there are certain changes in appearance that have been influenced by this.
