"I’ve been lost since the day I was born . . ."

"Oh, that’s too bad. I’m not lost though. I’m walking my dog, Mary . . ."

She gave me a flower. Did you know she was the first person to ever give me something?

And now she’s . . .

. . . Dead . . .

I snapped my eyes open. She had caught me. Again.

Not surprising, really. She’s much faster then I am. Relena will be sad, but she’ll understand. I have to move. If I stay here, I’ll go insane.

I have to stay on the move.

The least I can do is leave her a note.

Have I got everything I need . . . ? Yeah, let’s go . . .

The guards here are good, but no match for a Gundam pilot . . .

I don’t know where to go, at this point.

Quatre’s, Trowa’s, Wufei’s, and numerous places where I was alone.

It’s interesting that I can hide from the world, I could disappear, and they’d never find me, but SHE never has a problem . . .

Also interesting that the one to break Heero Yuy, Perfect Soldier is a little girl and her dog . . .

~ And now she's up there

And now she'd up there~

She haunts me. Every night, I see her face, hear her words, her death . . .

Only one person has ever driven her away.

And, apparently, Duo Maxwell has vanished from any known place in existence.

And I should know, I’ve been looking for him, after all . . .

At least, I think I have.

I’m not very sure of anything right now . . .

Someone cries and you're to blame~

Someone’s crying. I don’t who they are, or why they’re crying, but I’ll bet it has something to do with me.

People may die because of Duo, but I think I have it worse. People die because of him.

They cry because of me.

It’s been that way for as long I can remember.

I’ve always asscosiated it with the butterfly theory.

You know, every time a butterfly flaps it’s wings, a tornado starts on the other side of the world.

It’s just that, with me, the effects are much quicker.

The picture you see, It won't disappear

Not unpleasant midream

How did I wind up back here?

Why would somebody be here, of all places?

This place is only important to me, isn’t it?

"Oh, Hee-chan . . ."

Wait, why are they spinning to look at me?

This is unexpected.

And now you’re hugging me. Why are you hugging me?

"I’m sorry, Heero, I didn’t know . . ."

Of course you didn’t know. How could you have known?

I certainly wasn’t going to tell you.

"It’s not your fault . . ."

"Of course it is. If I had been more thorough, she wouldn’t have died."

Why are you looking at me like that? Oh no, I said that out loud again, didn’t I?

"Heero . . . you’re crying . . ."

What are you going on about NOW?

Wait . . . crying?

Me?

Impossible.

You’ve just wiped something off my cheek.

Gods . . . I am crying aren’t I?

I can feel it now . . .

And I don’t think I like it very much . . .

"Don’t worry Heero, you’re aloud to cry. I’ll be here for you . . ."

"You shouldn’t . . ."

"Why not?"

I am really beginning to believe I have lost all control of my body, because I certainly did not mean to say that.

I meant to push you way, to speak coldly, to deny crying. Instead I’m sharing my secret . . .

"I’ll make you cry . . ."

"No you won’t."

"I already am . . ."

"It doesn’t mean anything. I’ll still be here for you . . ."

"Promise?"

I sound so broken.

Am I really that weak?

"I promise."

All right Duo. I’ll believe you.

Mostly because you don’t lie.

If you’ve forgiven me, I’m one step away from beginning to heal.

But first, she has to forgive me.

And that could take a very long time.

But as long as you’re here, I’ll keep trying to earn it.

But if you leave, I can’t promise a thing, all right?
