"Hey Heero! Wait for us!" Duo called out.
Heero stopped and turned around. "Well the, hurry up," he said as Duo came to a panting stop.
Wufei, Trowa, Quatre, and Relena caught up to them and stopped to catch their breaths.
"Why did you leave?" Quatre asked. "And why did you pull your gun on Mia?"
Heero shrugged. "They were getting on my nerves. As for that woman, she knows not to insult me again."
Relena sighed. "Let's just try to find a way home. I'm getting scared."
Trowa glanced behind them. "Did you hear something?"
"No," Wufei replied. "What did it sound like?"
"Like . . ." Trowa began.
Boom!
". . . That," Trowa finished.
"Great," Duo said sarcastically. "What now? More of those armored guys?"
A million soldiers came out of the buildings and down the streets.
"Yes," Quatre replied.
"What are we going to do?" Relena asked.
Heero looked around. "Surrounded."
Everyone looked behind them. "Crap!" Duo yelled. "This just doesn't end!"
Heero quickly surveyed his surroundings. "Down," he commanded. He dropped to his knees and pulled open a manhole. Pushing it aside, he dropped into the sewers.
Relena looked down after him and hesitated. "What if more are down there?"
"Relena!" Wufei cried. "Just jump!"
Taking a deep breath, Relena jumped down into the sewers. Heero caught her before she got hurt, and she smiled at him.
"Thank you, Heero," Relena said.
Heero ignored the smile and put her down. "Hurry up!"
Duo, Trowa, Quatre, and Wufei dropped down one by one.
"Let's get going," Wufei said, who had gone last. "They noticed us drop. We have to move."
Everyone agreed and they took off down the sewer tunnel. They hadn't gone fifty feet before they were caught.
Heero dodged a spear thrown at him and ducked another one. Several minutes of fierce fighting, they were completely outnumbered.
"This is getting us nowhere!" Quatre cried out as he dodged a barrage of arrows.
"No duh!" Duo yelled back.
Trowa blocked an attack that was aimed at Relena. "Are you all right?"
"Yes," Relena said. "Thank you."
Wufei slashed another soldier with a sword he had gotten by killing a different one. "We must retreat. It is impossible to win."
Trowa nodded. "If we retreat now, we can still escape."
"Let's get to the surface," Heero said.
Everyone agreed and they all ran away."

"Rowen?" Cye asked as they ran. "Where could they be?"
"I'm not sure," Rowen said. "But they couldn't have gotten far."
A manhole suddenly was kicked form below and almost hit Cye.
"Heero! Go! Get Relena out of here!"
Heero came exploding out of the hole and whirled around. He reached back in and grabbed a hand. Pulling Relena up, he looked back down. "Come on!"
"Need help?" Rowen asked.
Heero turned to them. "Fine. Go down there and hold back the troops."
Rowen didn't like being spoken to like that, especially by someone who was younger than him. "Okay, then what will you be doing?"
Heero took off running. "I'll be back soon! Take care of Relena!" And with that, he was gone.
Relena looked after him. "Be careful!"
Cye looked down the hole. "I'll go down. Rowen, how 'bout staying up here with Relena?"
Rowen nodded. "That's fine."
Cye leaped down the hole into darkness.

"Quatre! Watch it!" Duo yelled and knocked down a soldier that was about to cleave off Quatre's head.
"Thanks," Quatre said. "This is impossible."
Trowa blocked an attack and dodged another. "What are we going to do? This is a fight that I really wish Heero was here for."
"How about the next best thing?"
Everyone turned and saw someone.
"You're Cye, right?" Quatre asked.
Cye nodded. "Your friend Heero said he would be back soon. I'm here to help until he arrives."
"Good," Quatre said smiling. "We can use all the help we can get."
Wufei had continued fighting. "How can you help? No offense, but you don't look very strong."
Cye pulled out his spear. "None taken, and I am a Ronin Warrior. I have special abilities."
Trowa looked at Duo, who shrugged. "I'm not sure what that is, but if he can fight, I'll team up," Duo said.
The five of them continued fighting and defending each other from the soldiers.

Rowen paced around. "Where is that Heero guy?"
Relena looked at him. "Heero will be here. Believe in him."
"I don't even know him," Rowen muttered.
Relena sighed. She looked around and noticed a Gundam flying through the air. "There he is!"
Rowen looked up and was shocked. "What is that?"
BOOM!!
The ground behind them erupted. Duo came shooting up out of the manhole. "Run!! Now!"
Trowa, Quatre, and Wufei came rushing up behind Duo.
Relena looked confused. "What's wrong?"
Duo grabbed her and bolted down the street. "Cye told us to run."
Rowen grabbed Quatre's arm. What happened to Cye?"
"A soldier came out of nowhere," Quatre replied. "When Cye saw it, he told us to run."
Rowen let go of his arm. "What did he look like?"
"It was kind of dark purple," Quatre answered. "It had eyes like a serpent."
Rowen looked angry. "Sekhmet."
"Snakefang Strike!"
The ground blew up below them. A warrior came up enormously huge.
Rowen looked at the pilots. "Run. I'm totally serious."
They nodded and ran after Duo and Relena.

Heero pressed some buttons, and a message scrolled across his screen. "Roger that, destroy target."
He looked up and noticed the demon in front of him. "Target affirmed." He shot forward and fired his bullets. They hit the target right on. Heero flew in a circle and looked back at the target. It looked mad.
"How dare you!!" it screamed.
Heero just ignored it and transformed into the mobile suit form. "Whatever."
"Heero!"
Heero sighed. "What now, Duo?"
Duo came on one of his screens. "Listen to me. That's not an ordinary mobile suit. It's not one at all."
"What are you saying?" Heero asked shortly.
"Is that Heero? Let me talk!"
"No! Get back!"
"Come on!"
"Beat it!"
"Just for a minute!"
"No! Back off!"
"Please!?"
"How many times do I have to say no!"
Heero sighed in irritation. "Let Rowen talk."
"Ha, ha! Now move!" Rowen called out triumphantly.
Duo's face was pure hatred at the thought of letting someone in his Gundam. "Fine! Here ya go!"
Rowen appeared and looked at Heero. "This thing's cool! How does it work?"
"Get on with it," Heero said. "I'm trying to kill something."
"See," Rowen explained. "These things aren't machines. The armor is strong, and your bullets might not affect him."
Heero turned a dial. "So?"
Rowen sighed in aggravation. "It's suicide."
"Fine," Heero said. "Mission accepted."
"Mission!?" Rowen shouted. "This is no mission! What about your life!?"
"What about it?" Heero asked.
"How can you say that!?" Rowen cried out.
Duo's hand came on the screen and grabbed Rowen's arm. "See! He told you what he wants, now move!"
"No!"
"Yes!"
"Not until I talk some sense into him!"
"That will never work!"
"One more minute!"
"Over my dead body!"
"We can easily arrange that!"
"You piece of crap! Get out!"
"Make me!"
"Fine! Here we go!"
The sounds of the scuffle came over the communication unit and Heero sighed. He flipped a switch and turned off the screen. "Mission accepted. That's all you need to know."
He turned his Gundam around and faced the monster.

"Master, what is that thing?"
"I'm not sure, but go destroy it Dais."
Dais smiled wickedly. "Yes, sir." He teleported away.

Cye dodged a falling piece of debris and stared at the fight. "What is that!?"
"Cye!! Over here!!"
Cye looked over and saw Quatre waving him over. He also saw Duo and Rowen rolling around on the ground, trying to kill each other.
Trowa reached down and yanked Duo to his feet and held him back with the help of Wufei. Cye ran over and did the same with Rowen.
"Let me go!" Rowen snarled.
Duo fought to get away form Trowa and Wufei. "I'll kill you!"'
Relena stood between them and held out her arms to separate them. "Please stop it. We have to work together. We may be different, but if we don't, we could all die."
"This is not the time for that!" Duo yelled and fought harder to get away from Wufei and Trowa.
"We need peace," Relena said. "Besides, there's always time for pacifism in . . ."
"Pacifism smacifism!" Rowen howled. "He smashed my face!" Blood was coming out of his nose.
Duo glared daggers at him. "Well, he kicked me in the . . .!!"
"Stop it!!" Quatre yelled. "Now!!"
Everyone fell silent. "Thank you," Quatre said. "Now, I want both of you to make a truce. And shake on it."
"Only if he gets rid of that armor stuff," Duo said.
"Fine," Rowen said and his armor disappeared. He stood around in his street clothes, looking at Duo. He took a deep breath and held out his hand.
Duo looked at Rowen's hand and rolled his eyes. "Okay then." He made a disgusting sound and spit into his hand. He slapped his spit on hand into Rowen's, who looked like he was going to throw up.
"Eww!" Relena cried out. "Duo!"
"What!?" Duo protested. "It's a spit shake! Haven't you ever heard of them!?"
Rowen yanked his hand out of Duo's and wiped it on his pants. "That was gross."
Duo smiled brightly at him. "Well, at least we have a truce."
Cye hid his smiled and looked back towards the fight. "What is that?"
"That," Wufei stated, "is a Gundam. A mobile suit made for battle."
"Is it a machine?" Rowen asked.
"Yes," Trowa said. "Like this one, Duo's Deathscythe." Rowen looked confused. "How does it work? The Nether Realm's powers make it so no electricity works."
"It's made of Gundanium Aloy," Duo said.
"Gundawhat?" Cye asked.
"There must be a substance in it that makes it able to work here," Rowen said thoughtfully. "Do you have a sample I can study?"
Everyone looked at Duo.
"Oh no," Duo said. "No, you are not getting any of my baby!"
"Come on," Rowen persisted. "Don't be such a sissy."
"NO!!" Duo yelled firmly. "You are getting a piece of my darling baby!"
Relena looked at Duo. "Come on. You know nothing will happen to it."
"Oh really?" Duo said, looking at her. "Revenge isn't a big part of your life, is it?"
Wufei sighed impatiently. "Heero could die at any minute. We need help. I think we should at least let him see some. If he can analyze it, maybe we can get more weapons. That means, more help."
Duo sighed in defeat. "Well, I'm not going to be the one that let's my best buddy die. Go on."
Rowen walked over to the Gundam and started his analyzing.

"Sekhmet! Return! Dais will take over for now!"
"Yes, Master."
Heero watched as the thing he was fighting vanished. He watched as a different soldier appeared. This one was bigger than the last. It was the same size as the Gundam.
Heero looked his opponent. "Target in sight." He aimed his buster rifle at it and fired.
The beam hit the target right in the middle of its chest. It staggered back and fell to the ground. It then got back up, waving smoke away.
"Medium damage," Heero said to himself. "Reducing speed, ready to go into combat." He switched on his communicator and looked at the monster.
"Surrender at once!" Heero called out.
"Never! I'll destroy you and take over this world!" the monster screamed.
"I'll stand in your way," Heero said. "You'll never complete your assault."
"What are you?" the demon asked.
"Your worst nightmare," Heero said and lunged forward. and attacked with everything that worked.
The battle was over before it even began. After a few minutes of a brutal attack, the demon fell backwards. A purplish red color encircled it, and it disappeared.
Heero moved his Gundam until it was leaning against a building, partly hidden by fallen rubble. He opened the cockpit and dropped to the ground. He knelt on one knee and looked around. He noticed a flash of orange. Quatre.
"Heero! Are you all right!?" Quatre asked as he ran to him.
"Yes," Heero said.
"What!! Just!! Happened!?" Cye yelled out as he ran over to them. "How in the world did you manage to defeat a Dynasty Warlord in no time flat!?"
"Warlord? Dynasty?" Quatre asked. "What are you talking about?"
"Never mind," Cye said. "Listen, we should regroup and sit down. There are plenty of things to talk about and to explain."
"Fine," Heero said flatly, rising to his feet. "Let's go."
Cye nodded. "Okay then. The others went ahead of us. Come on."
Heero walked after him with Quatre beside him. They followed Cye farther into the dark city.
