Sweat soaked honey bangs tossed aside, as Duo blew cool breath onto them, sighing, "We've been hiking up this damned mountain for hours! Where the hell is this fucking safe house? I'm dying of heat exhaustion!" he complained. A dark brow twitched, "Stop whining, Maxwell. You're a Gundam Pilot, a soldier. Not some weak child."

Violet eyes burned, and a strong frown tugged on the corners of the braided boy's mouth as he looked to his Chinese companion, "Shut up." Hastily stinting the oncoming argument, Quatre quickly placed a comforting hand on the pouting boy's shoulder, "Don't worry, Duo. We're only about a half an hour away. We'll be there before you know it! I'm sure Heero's waiting," he said smiling.

Fully intending on snapping back sarcastically, Duo turned to look down on his friend but stopped short at that easy going smile on the other's face, and instead responded with a smile of his own, "Thanks, Quat." Turning his head to look back into the thick forest ahead, the American grinned at the thought of his lover, waiting for him. Straightening up and walking steadily with renewed vigor the braided boy turned to the other three pilots behind him, and grinned, "C'mon, Can't keep Hee-chan waiting."

Onyx eyes rolled, as Shenlong's pilot trudged over the thick shrubbery, "baka," he huffed under his breath. Nodding, proud that he had lifted the other boy's waning spirits, the blonde pilot marched forward with an equal amount of energy, his tall companion in tow, and the muttering Chinese hauling up the back.

Before long, and with minimal additional arguments, the four teens came upon a small hill and looking down noticed a well-hidden cabin. With an almost crazed gleam in his eyes, the braided boy began to run as fast as his weather-beaten body would allow to the house at the bottom of the hill. The other boys merely sighed and hurried their pace, eager to be somewhere to rest as well.

Hearing the others closing in behind him, Duo slowed his last few paces as he stepped onto the wooden wrap-around porch of the quiet cabin. Feeling the fine hairs on the back of his neck begin to stand on end as he laid a callused hand on the knob, the braided boy frowned and looked around suspiciously. Sensing his tension the others also scanned the silent forest for any thing out of place. Finding nothing and becoming anxious, the American pulled open the door quickly, yelling a joyous, "Tadaima!"

More eerie silence was his only answer, however and the violet-eyed boy only frowned deeper, a sinking feeling pinching his gut. The other pilots walked into the house noiselessly and languidly pulled out pristine handguns, aiming them upwards. "Heero?" Duo called out in a sharp, serious tone, his voice cutting through the air. Hearing a slight shuffling coming from the ceiling above him, violet eyes narrowed and he was up the stairs in a flash.

An evil smirk revealed gleaming teeth as he heard the intense pounding travelling up the stairs. He held on tighter to the small beauty in his binding grip, feeling the youth struggle at the sound of his approaching comrades. The smaller boy's face was impassive and hard, but his struggles betrayed his inner turmoil.

Running to the closed door at the end of the upper level hallway, the braided boy couldn't help the wetness that rose to his eyes. Gritting his teeth in a furious expression at the barely restrained tears he didn't even hesitate at the door, feeling a sinking fear in his chest. In a burst of frantic adrenaline he kicked the door in a desperate attempt to prove his instincts wrong.

As the four boys entered the room, they didn't have enough time to look behind them before the ominous voice confirmed their fears, "Hello Gundam Pilots." His voice was smooth, sophisticated, and held an air of arrogance, Duo despised it immediately. The yard-long braid whipped through the air with the force of Duo's quick turn to lay eyes on the tall man in the corner of the room, his arms around the battered Japanese pilot of wing.

Violet eyes immediately ignited in an inferno of hatred as the American noticed the condition of his lover. Through the haze of fury, the braided boy heard the pilot of Sandrock gasp and ask who the other teen who couldn't have been two years older then himself, was. Cold steel gray eyes never left dark violets, as the other spoke, "My name is insignificant," the young man's voice was hollow and tinged with malice.

Taking a step forward, the braided American grit his teeth in a painful tightness grinding out the words he spoke, "Let. Him. Go." Seeing the cocky smirk as it spread it's way across the impersonal face mockingly only incited the braided pilot more. Carefully bringing up a hand to caress the cheek he held so tightly, the cold youth cocked his head in a curious way, "Now why would I want to do that? Especially after I tried so hard to capture this lovely creature."

Dilated pupils followed every stroke of the bony hand, as Shinigami took another step closer, however he stopped upon noticing the frenzied struggling of the half sagging boy in the raven-haired man's grip. Once again, thin lips curled into a vicious smirk as long digits constricted on thin arms in a bruising grip, "Gundam pilot 02 of Deathscythe. Duo Maxwell corn colony L2, age 16 male." Violet eyes widened as cruel lips rattled off the braided boy's statistics.

Tired of the mind games and senseless statements from the arrogant youth, Duo took on a fighting stance, balling his powerful hands into tight fists, "Who the fuck are you?" The small blonde behind the braided boy frowned worriedly, and reached out to his usually cheerful comrade, "Duo-" He jumped unable to finish his thought as the other snapped at him mercilessly.

"What?" the taller boy bit back harshly, feeling the Arabian recoil he faintly felt regret for the cold response. Swallowing before he replied, the fair-skinned boy continued in a hushed tone, "Don't do anything. Something's not right about him." Growling at the warning, jagged bangs were tossed out of angry violet eyes, "He's touching Heero. That's what's not right."

Steely eyes glinted as murderous thoughts were processing through his mind rapidly, `this idiot is blind to his own affections. All I have to do is squeeze this delicate body a little tighter and he'll brake.' Those ghostly fingers slowly slacked off of bruised arms, and the Japanese began to slide slightly to the ground. Finally relinquishing his grip on the muscular limbs, the cold stranger watched as the boy began to fall forward on his face.

Full lips parted and large amethysts eyes widened as the American saw his lover begin to slip to the ground. Making his way forward, with sharp reflexes he reached for the boy just as he was about to hit the floor but was stopped as a milky white arm darted out suddenly to grasp around the slender neck of the brunette boy. With a quiet squeak and small gasping noises the small pilot of Wing was lifted off of the ground effortlessly by his throat.

Lilac eyes were suddenly slits again, as the American watched the taller youth hold his lover in the air, as if he were a doll. "Put him down you son of a bitch!" he yelled and lunged forward, distantly hearing a desperate yell from the boy in the air for him to stop. Suddenly as he pulled back to slam his fist into the other with everything in his slender body, he screamed as he hit something and was thrown back, hitting his fellow pilots in his fall.

Laughing loudly with a mocking tone, the slender youth that held a dangling Heero pulled the ragged body to his chest and held the struggling boy tightly. "DUO!" losing his composure, and not caring about being an indifferent killing machine, the Wing pilot's eyes began to water as he heard the deafening thudding of helicopter blades coming up on the cabin.

Wincing and scrambling to stand, the braided boy's eyes immediately locked with those of his distraught lover. As he stood, the other's along with him the tall gray-eyed youth continued to smirk, "Don't interfere, Gundam pilots. We only want Heero and now we have him." With those words, Duo's eyes widened as he heard Heero scream, and the pale captor threw himself and the small boy in his grip backwards, slamming through and shattering the cabin window to fall to the earth below.

A small frantic cry escaped the American's lips as he ran towards the now broken window, only to hear a whizzing sound along with the now beating pulse of a helicopter. A large hook grabbed onto the leg of the giant aircraft and slowly pulled the small Japanese and his captor into the air. Duo grit his teeth, clenching his fists closed tightly as he looked into the watery eyes of his lover.

`He knows they're going to do something to him…" He began to shake his head, his braid swinging, not wanting to believe as he looked into endless midnight eyes. The slender pilot struggled, extending one arm down to his braided love below, and screamed who he knew was responsible, praying the other would hear him.

Slim brows knitted together as the chestnut haired boy noticed the full lips on the other moving, as he and his captor slowly rose higher into the air. He could distantly hear the sounds of the screaming, but couldn't make out what was being said. As he fought to read those lips he loved so much his violet eyes widened at what he read. His body went rigid and his face stony, as the black aircraft disappeared over the tall treetops and the roaring of the turning blades faded.

Violet eyes were shadowed, but the lithe body was taught with fury. If his Japanese counterpart had said what he knew he couldn't have mistaken, he knew exactly who to go to. Violet eyes burned as an image of an elderly man with gnarled limbs and false body parts, came to mind, an image of a person more mechanical then man.
