All activity in the room stopped and focused on the grey-suited man.

"You, tell me. How is the subject."

The chosen man stood slowly and steeled himself before answering "He has regained consciousness but does not yet appear to be aware."

The grey-suited man looked with disdain at the monitor displaying the subject. "How soon before it is operational?"

A wince was suppressed at the lack of humanity shown or given.

"We're unsure," a hesitation "he has shown more promise than the previous ones."

"Good. Continue with the experiment."
