It made me angry.

I didn't understand.

I didn't see the point.

The stupid conventions of love and romance were things I despised.

I didn't see what the fuss was over.

Didn't see why girls in our class had crushes or planned their weddings.

It didn't make sense why people kissed,

Why they considered human contact to be so damn important.

I hated and had arguments for every single stupid thing about love.

Then I met you.

Your laughter made me smile. It thawed me out.

You made me see how important friendship was.

You made me see.

You helped me to see how powerful human emotions were.

You made me feel them.

I saw the fuss. I understood the seemingly silly behaviour.

I never realised until you kissed me, and showed me the soaring magical feeling it provoked.

Every brush of your fingers on my skin made me ache for more.

I saw the brighter side of love that I'd kept shadowed for so long.

I finally realised what it was like to be happy. I finally saw.

For this I thank you, Duo.

I thank you for showing me the world.

And for cleansing my battered soul.
