I open my eyes and find myself in the arms of my new lover. Duo's light breathing is a harsh constrast to the heavy, lust filled breaths of before. His skin is warm, soft and inviting, I give in and snuggle closer to him. 'To think, all my secret passion for him, but not believing he held the feeling for me, all that was resolved in one single...well...maybe multiple turn of events.' I think to myself. I sigh in contentment and feel his heartbeat on my cheek. We are wound up tightly in our own limbs, and our hair is a mess. Not that I care about my own appearance, and Duo's hair is falling out the braid he failed to unbind. I chuckle slightly deep in my throat about how he used the tip of it to tickle me, causing me to laugh. I remembered how his face beamed down at me as he heard the sound that no one had ever heard before.
The braided boy rustles in his sleep, groaning a little. I smile and close my eyes, relaxed. "Nuh...Heero?" he asks, awakening from his slumber. I re-open my eyes and look to his face. He has a tired smile on his face, and his violet eyes shine with happiness.
"Ohayo." I say quietly. He smiles back and places a kiss on my lips. "We should get up, it's 9:00," I say, trusting my internal clock to be accurate.
Duo grimaces, "Aw, do we have to?" he whines. He snuggles closer to me, drawing in more warmth.
I smile and nod, "Yes, Duo." He groans and lets go, pulling the blanket around his waist and sliding out of bed. I roll my eyes as now I have no cover, but let it go, 'Not like he hasn't seen anything...' I think to myself. As I'm about to walk over to my dresser, Duo lets out a huge yawn.
"AAaaaaah..." He says, and then walks into the bathroom without another word.
'Hmm, I always figured he'd be a morning person...' I take a step forward, and suddenly have a sharp pain climb up my spine. I cringe and sit back down on the bed. 'He said it would hurt...' I chastized myself mentally. I sit there, naked, on the edge of my bed for who knows how long, reliving every moment of last night. But then I hear the door open, and Duo walks out, braid fixed and swinging happily behind him.
He looks at me funny, "Heero, what's wrong?" he asks, concerned.
"Hn?" I ask, still in sort of a daze. He walks over and sits next to me and repeats his question. "Oh...nothing. Thinking."
"Oh... you're not... hurt are you?" he asks.
"....."
"Oh Heero! I knew I was being too rough...you should've told me!" He says in exhasperation.
"Duo, I'm fine. Just a little...off." I say, reassuringly.
He looks at me like I'm a lying sack of shit, and puts a hand on my shoulder. "Nee, let's go get you dressed."
I nod in acknowledgement and stand up again. I ignore the pain as I walk over to my dresser and dress in my usual attire. Duo is still wearing the blanket, and I look at him and laugh slightly. He wears it like one of those old-time man dresses. A toga, I think they're called. I find myself wondering how he managed to tie it up like that, but before I can voice my curiosity, he leads me into the living room. He takes me to the couch where his clothes lay from where I folded them the day before. I let go and walk into the kitchen to make some food, while he gets dressed in some jeans and a t-shirt.
"So...Heero," Duo begins. I merely look at him, my gesture of wanting him to continue. "How... how do you feel?" He asks, after a slight hesitation. I smile, and he grins in repliance. "Yeah, me too. God...you know how hard it's been not to do that every day since I moved in?"
I chuckle lightly, "Hn." I say before turning back to the stove. I heat up a pan and then take out a bowl and place it on the counter.
"What are ya makin'?" Duo asks cheerfully as he leans over the counter.
"Pancakes," I smile.
Duo's violet eyes widen, "Pancakes? Heero, you can make pancakes? Why didn't you tell me?!"
"You never asked." I say simply, a slight smirk forming at my lips. Duo makes a pouting face and shuts up after that. I continue with making breakfast by pouring the measured amount of flour into the bowl. Then I add the other ingredients and mix up the batter. I notice Duo watching me intently out of the corner of my eye. I smile slightly, but turn around to pour the batter into the heated and greased up pan. "How many do you want?" I ask him, my back still facing him.
"Mmm, I'll have a stack."
"...A stack?" I question.
"...Oh...right. A stack is three pancakes." He says with a slight laugh.
"Hn." I say, and then measure out three pancakes into the pan. I turn around and take spatula off the hanger, and put it next to the stove. I turn around and face Duo, eyes staring at him intensly in thought.
"Whoa there Heero! What's wrong?" Duo says, startled.
I shake my head, "Sorry. Nothing, just thinking." I reply, and turn back to the pancakes. Duo doesn't say anything as I flip his breakfast over to cook the other side. After I judge enough time has passed, I serve up the stack of pancakes on a plate and hand them to my lover.
He smiles, "Arigato, Heero." He says. I smile back slightly and hand him syrup and butter that I got out to temper. He grins and proceeds with putting the condiments on his food. I pour out two more pancakes for myself, and then go to sit next to Duo.
"Any good?" I ask quietly.
Through mouthfuls of food, Duo manages to reply. "Very!" I satisfy myself with watching Duo shove more food into his mouth, chewing reflectively, before swallowing. In it's entirety, it's repulsive, but strangely, it brings fond memories to mind. I remember this was exactly how Duo ate after or before a mission. He'd scarf down as much food as he could handle, then said he was ready for anything.
'I wonder how this recent food consumption is going to make him ready for something. Or, really, what that something is.' I think, and a minute smile forms on my lips. I wake up from my daydream to go and flip my own breakfast, and then return to sitting next to the braided boy.
He turns to me, "You have anything in mind for today, Heero?" he asks, placing a hand on my shoulder. I'm used to him touching me by now, and have come to enjoy it.
"No, how about you?" I ask.
He smiles mischieviously, and runs his hand up from my shoulder to my neck, where he strokes the area right beneath my jawline. I shudder in pleasure, that's the area he found yesterday. My strangely sensitive spot. "Well, Heero, we could continue where we were..." He pauses and leans forward, his maple scented breath on my ear. "Or we could just start over." He murmers, and wraps his arms around me. I close my eyes and breath in the scent of his hair.
"Duo..." I whisper, and hide myself in his warmth. 'These are the moments that I wish could go on forever.' I think to myself as I rest in his arms.
"Hm?" he asks softly. He tightens his grip slightly, as if I was falling.
"Hn..." I murmer, too content to say anything more. Duo lifts my face up delicately and peers into my eyes. I look to him questioningly, and he smiles. Suddenly I smell something burning, and my eyes widen considerably. "Pancakes..." I murmer, and then run around the corner to the stove. "K'so!" I swear, and pull a plate out. I shovel my half-burned pancake onto it, and stare blankly at it.
Soon afterward I hear a coughing laugh, and turn to Duo. "S-sorry Heero, but...hah hahah! That was funny! The way you, and then...heh." he laughs.
I respond by looking at him patronizingly. This only causes him to laugh more. "Duo," I say, trying to stop him from laughing at me. He attempts to stop laughing, and puts on what I suppose he thinks is a serious face. My lip curls up in a vague smile, and he breaks down laughing again.
"Sorry. I'll stop," He begins and walks out of the room for a moment. I roll my eyes, and turn back to my charred breakfast. Sighing, I dump it in the trash and take out a bowl and some milk. Duo returns, and sits back down in his previous seat. I go to the cabinet and take out a box of cereal. "Sorry about your pancakes Heero. It was partially my fault." he apologizes.
"Hn?"
Duo fidgets, "I was distracting you..."
I let out a small laugh, and pour my cereal into the bowl, and then add the milk. "Yes," I turn around and put the milk and cereal away. "It was your fault." I look through the refridgerator as if I'm looking for something to drink. I spot something that catches my eye, and smirk. I take the can out, and hide it behind me.
"Heero?" the braided boy questions cautiously.
"Now you shall be punished!" I yell as I spray the whipped cream all over his face. All I can see of Duo's face are his wide violet eyes. He blinks, then licks a little of the creamy confection off his lips.
He licks a little more off, and then looks to me, eyes gleaming. "You know what would taste really good with this?"
"What?" I say, wondering what he could mean.
Duo wipes a little of the whipped cream off the side of his face with a finger. "You." He says while rubbing the whipped cream off on my nose. Without waiting for my reaction, he leans forward more, and kisses me full on, causing the whipped cream to mingle between our meshed faces.
When we break apart I take a paper towel and clean off. "Baka..." I mutter.
Duo merely grins. "Ah, you know you loved it."
"Hn."
"Hand me a towel?" He asks, holding out his hand. Handing him the said item, I take my bowl of cereal and begin to eat. "You know, I can barely believe you actually did that to me Heero." Duo suddenly says.
"I can't either." I say truthfully. Duo laughs at that as I finish my cereal. 'I guess living with Duo has changed me more than I'd figured.' I think as I watch my braided lover and finish my breakfast. 'Hopefully for the better...'
