Chapter 24

The Impregnable Sky Fortress! The fall of Lancor…?

At the port town of Jomfa, the Ham-ham Club gets off some boat.

Hamtaro: Here we are the port town Jomfa, Part of Continent Arcania.

Boss: Ugh..... Another moment on that boat, and I could of...

He feels like he's about to throw up. Then T.W stuck a leaf in his mouth.

T.W: This herb should help, just swallow.

He chews then swallows feeling a bit better.

T.W: The book said you were supposed to grind it into a paste but I don't have a portable food processor or a mortar and pesto.

Raishiuko: Someone told us that there's supposed to be some kind of port town near here that hasn't gotten word of Gijiki Island closing. We better go there.

Everyone starts going away.

Fi: Hold on. I think I sense something...big.

They look up in the sky and see a black object.

Dexter: Is that a-

Howdy: UFO?

They hug each other in fright.

Sandy: Ugh. Boys… Don't be such cowards. Right Stan? Huh?

Stan is frightened too. Then the creature lands. They see Nike get off.

Nike: Hey guys. Miss me?

Raishiuko: Nike! Haidae! You're okay!

Nike: That's not all, Look who I brought along. *Haruki and Daichi and their fairy's come from the dragon* this is Haruki and Daichi. Guys, this is the Ham-ham Club. Who you said we were famous.

Hakeru: Did I hear him right? Did he say we're famous?

T.W: Sounds like it.

Bijou: How very exciting.

Haruki: Huh? This is the legendary team?

Daichi: But there are hamsters. Those that can talk.

Howdy: Hey! Got a problem or something?!

Daichi: Umm...No.

While they are talking, Fi and Arcania Dragon (AD) inspect each other by looking at each other.

Fi: Hey. It's you!

AD: It's you!

Fi: I remember you.

AD: Me too.

Haruki: Hey cool! You guys have an Arcania Phoenix! I thought the rumors weren't true. I guess they were.

Osimaru: Um. That's Fi. My Arcania Phoenix.

Haruki: Good name. So tell me Fi, where're you from?

Ignorance...

Haruki: Um...Hello! Can I at least have a response?

Fi: I haven't seen you for a long time.

AD: Nope. We haven't since we were still in our Chibi forms. I didn't mention this before but I'm Aden, just call me AD for short.

Daichi: Hold on. You know each other?

AD: Yep, ever since we were babies.

Fi: We were playmates. Even though we were separate species.

Howdy: Makes you wonder what happened back then.

T.W: Cool! With a Phoenix and a dragon on out side, along with our impressive combination, can things get any better?

Raishiuko: What levels are you?

Haruki: Somewhere in the 50's. But we have very strong weapons.

Daichi: You should also meet-

Haruki: This is Mikara, my fairy.

Mikara: Hello everyone.

Then Daichi's fairy guide appears.

Daichi: And this is my fairy guide Denny.

Denny: A pleasure to meet you all.

Everyone else says hello.

Haruki: Well according to these two you're heading for the continent of Arcania?

Raishiuko: Yeah, Lancor the leader of the BA wants to take this world game world and kidnapped out fairy guides Onaka and Ivit. We going to find his sky fortress and rescue them.

Haruki: That's the gist of it huh? Well we'll help out too?

Raishiuko: Thank you. Come on everyone let's go!

So with that they take board on Fi and AD and fly off deep into the crevasse to find the reached the Lancor's sky fortress.

Hamtaro: Over there!

They see the fortress-

Raishiuko: So that's the place.

Nike: Uh oh. Look!

They all see cannons on many sides of the place.

T.W: Cannons? That's not good.

Osimaru: How do we get inside?

AD: Maybe we should try and destroy the cannons using our cards. Got any of use?

They look at each other in wonder.

Dexter: All I got is this Disarmament card.

Boss: Dexter! Use that!

Dexter: Umm...Okay.

He slashes it, then the cannons detach from the fortress and onto the ground.

Pashmina: Yay Dexter!

Penelope: Ookwee!

Dexter: I guess it worked.

Howdy: Hmph. Show off.

They fly to some air dock. But they are being watched by video camera.

Lancor: Wow. I didn't think I see the day where my perfectly defended fortress of the sky would be disarmed by such a weak card. Oh well. This will be fun. *pushes a button* Now the fun begins....

Meanwhile...everyone is fighting off guards, and gaining EXP-

Haruki: Is this what the BA is like? This tough?

Nike: Well, normally they are low hearted and use illegal things to use other creatures against us. But I guess since there's nothing for them to do, *takes out another guy* they might as well fight poorly.

Haruki: Whatever.

They keep on fighting. They see an open door.

Hamtaro: In here everyone! Move, move, move!

Everyone goes into the next room. The door closes on the BA soldiers. They are in the dark now.

Howdy: Now what?

Fi emits a glowing aura.

Osimaru: Alright Fi.

They walk along the hallway.

AD: How'd you learn to do that?

Fi: It's something we're born to do.

They turn a corner. They find another door.

Hakeru: Another door!

They begin walking again, when something comes out. It's a giant BA soldier. And when I mean giant, I mean giant!

Raishiuko: Oh boy. He's huge!

The giant takes out his massive axe and swings it above his head. Them slams it down it front of him.

Daichi: This guy's nothing but a big show off. I can take him on!

He charges and gets knocked away by being smacked by the giant.

Haruki: Ow. That's gotta hurt.

Nike: Yeah. But I bet he's a big baby!

He slaps his staff into the ground. Then zombies appear. The giant screams like a girl and runs away.

Nike: Told you.

They continue on. They reach a long hallway. Hamtaro accidentally steps on a switch on the floor and then laser guns come out of the walls and begin firing in different directions, other than to the far left.

Hamtaro: Oopsie.

Haruki: Now what?

Fi shoots a fireball forward, but it gets destroyed in the lasers.

AD: Let me try. My fireballs are faster than yours.

He launches one of his own. It gets very far but gets destroyed.

Osimaru: Are those things like unstoppable or something?

Maxwell: Hmm...*notices path of lasers* Well, I noticed one thing. They never touch the bottom, even for a mere few inches. Someone can crawl through the bottom and hit that switch on the other side.

Stan: But who's small enough and brave enough to go across?

Heads turn to Penelope, who makes a sound in confusion.

Pashmina: Oh no! You're not making her go across! I won't let you!

Cappy: *now being looked at* Oh no. Please don't make me go!

Boss: Cappy. You're the only person small enough to do this.

Cappy: But....but...

Bijou: Please Cappy?

Sandy: You can do it.

Cappy: Well...Alright then.

Hamtaro: Okay Cappy!

Cappy: If I don't make it out...tell Boss, he can have my caps.

Boss: Um... I'm right here.

T.W then grabs him by the ear-

T.W: Quiet! You're ruining the moment!

Cappy crawls forward. He crawls under the lasers.

Cappy: It's almost over, it's almost over, and it's almost over.

He nearly gets hit by an oncoming laser. Everyone gasps, but he continues on. He reaches the wall and switch. So now, he climbs the wall. Slips a bit, but he continues. He reaches the box. And is on the switch and jumps on it.

Cappy: Come on. Go already!

Hamtaro: Come on Cappy! You can do it!

Cappy jumps even harder but nothing. He then notices a little switch that says "Lock-in Hold."

Cappy: Do people actually have these things?

He hits the tiny switch. Then the switch below him goes down. And Cappy falls to the floor. A laser goes to him but it disappears before it hit him. Cappy falls down.

Cappy: My life was flashing before my eyes...... It was freaky.

Hamtaro: You did it Cappy! *everyone coming to him* you stopped the lasers!

Cappy: Can I have a promotion?

They chuckle a bit. Then continue on.

Lancor: Very funny. A little boring though. But they'll never succeed.

It then shows our heroes dodging, attacking, running from, and doing many things from the things found inside the place.

Lancor: These little imps. They are persistent. Oh well. *pushes button to remove Onaka and Ivit from room* Might as well meet them face to face. They may have survived my unstoppable fortress, but they will never survive me.

He leaves the room. But we see a shadowy figure in the shadows....

Now, everyone reaches this one room. A big chamber, with nothing but wire and glowing lights.

Haruki: Now what? Where is everybody? *it echoes*

Fi: I don't sense anything in this room.

After a moment, they hear a sound from the ceiling. An energy jar with Onaka and Ivit come down.

Raishiuko: Look! Our fairies!

It stops.

Osimaru: I guess Lancor lied about destroying them after all.

A door opens. And a shadow appears.

Lancor: Yes. But I will not lie about destroying you this time.

He steps in.

Everyone Else: Lancor.

Haruki: Is that him?

Nike: Oh yeah. That's him.

Lancor: I am sick and tired of you always messing up my plans for world domination. Especially, from your little rodent friends.

Boss: Hey who are you calling a rodent you freak!

T.W: Well technically we are but, *Angry mark* how dare you?!

Lancor: I rest my case.

Raishiuko: We've come to stop you Lancor! And take our fairies back!

Lancor: Hm hm hm. Now you know that's impossible. I mean look at me. Don't you know who I am? I am the most powerful warrior of the Black Alliance! You can never defeat me. Don't you remember what happened last time?

Howdy: Yeah. He let his henchman do the dirty work.

Blackout: I heard that.

Blackout appears over Lancor's shoulder.

Lancor: Ah yes. I guess that is true. But maybe a little demonstration outta do.

A TV monitor appears, and it turns on. It shows many robots. Then it shows Lancor on screen.

Lancor: This is a copy of my battle simulator. Watch, and be amazed.

On the TV, the robots aim and fire toward Lancor. They go through him like a hit. But he still stands. After the robots ran out of ammo... Lancor disappears and reappears on a ledge above the field. The robots look at him as he shows them a bit of his sword. Then they all explode.

Everyone who watched gasped. The TV goes away.

Lancor: Well. You get the picture.

Hamtaro: So why do you want Raishiuko and the others?

Lancor: Simple my friend. I need their energy.

Osimaru: For what?

Lancor: A Power Generator.

He snaps his fingers as another monitor appears. It turns on to show a giant machine with laser beams and many things.

Lancor: This is the Black Diamond. This generator has many possibilities. As you can see, my generator can absorb and enhance a person's energy. In which some of you already experienced.

Raishiuko: That could explain why I was a Red Mage for a bit.

Lancor: Anyway, it can absorb the energy, and store it into one super compartment. The energy is then transferred, and enhanced even more by its own power. Then it finally has to go somewhere.

Osimaru: Why?

Lancor: If the energy has no where to go, it will gather up too much, and thus, the machine is gone. This is why I use this generator to increase the power of my army.

Daichi: Nice going. It's been a real success.

Lancor: But I have a little compartment that will store energy. Just for me, and my little Blackout.

Boss: So that's how he's so darn strong.

Lancor: My machine can increase my power, anytime I want to use it. So no matter how strong you get, I will always become stronger. But the only problem with this machine is that I need something to provide me with energy. So I needed, live assistance.

Nike: You needed us.

Lancor: Correct. Anyone would do. But you were even better.

Haruki: Does this guy talk or what?

Lancor: Anyway, I also use the energy, of the resources around me. The endless supply of Digital data is absorbed all the time. It's not nearly enough, but what the heck? And soon, when I find the biggest power of them all, I can use it for my own. Which where your little hamsters came in. They somehow, were able to awaken the Legendary Spirits of Iris. And soon, when the final one is released, I can easily find Iris, and use it for my power. I will have Infinite Power, far beyond anyone alive.

Howdy: This guy is crazy. He'll only rule the Video Game.

Dexter: Just another hacker, waiting to happen.

Lancor: You fool! A person's strength is reflected on experience. Even by Virtual Reality, you can start off weak, and come out a powerful creature. I mean human beings in the real world would shatter before my power. Haven't you ever played VR games that require Weight Lifting?

Boss: I have! And it was really heavy.

Lancor: See? Now imagine what will happen, when I have infinite power? I will be invincible. Nothing can harm me, and I can do whatever I want! I can put the world under my power, in less than a week. Every country on Earth will fall to me and my super army. And I shall rule the world!

Raishiuko: So that's why you needed the powers of us, and the special cards we have. Just for your lousy power gain.

Lancor: Well I'm glad you feel that way. Because now's the time to finish you off. I'd be happy to take all you on, at once.

They growl.

Lancor: It's hopeless now....

Then, they hear an explosion.

Lancor: What was that?

Lasers appear and hit the jar with Onaka and Ivit, freeing them.

Lancor: What's going on here?

Raishiuko: Onaka!

Osimaru: Ivit!

They fly to them.

Onaka: We're free.

Ivit: But how?

Then some person falls in front of them. It's some sort of ninja girl.

Haruki: A Ninja? Why didn't you tell me you can be a Ninja? I want to be a Ninja too.

Mikara: Well some classes aren't available until you get certain items I guess.

Lancor: Who are you?

Ninja: Let's not get into that.

She's a ninja whose eyes are shown, but the rest is covered.

Hamtaro: Um thanks for saving the fairies miss.

Bijou: Please, tell us your name.

Ninja: Maybe later. But now we must flee. This fortress is going to fall in the sea.

Lancor: How can that be? My super fortress is impregnable. It cannot be destroyed! How

Ninja: Well, all you have to do is destroy the generator that powers the place. Without it, this thing is just a failing place.

Lancor: What? No!

Ninja: I destroyed all the escape routes for you and your men. Only I know a secret one. You shall not find it. You and your men shall suffer.

Lancor: Hmph. No worry. I won't die. I'll only log out of this game.

Ninja: Oh really?

She takes out Ninja Stars at a fast rate and throws them at Lancor. They hit his arm.

Lancor: That doesn't hurt me.

Ninja: Yeah. I know I can't hurt you in your powerful state that you are. But there's one thing that can kill you. Being crushed by tons of cement.

Lancor: What are you talking about?

Sparks come out of his wound.

Ninja: That's a taste of your own medicine.

Lancor: What?! What is this?

Ninja: The same stuff you used on my friends is being used against you.

Lancor: Oh no! This can't be!

Blackout: Master. You can't die here.

He growls in anger.

Ninja: Come everyone, let's go, and follow me! We only got 5 minutes to get out of here.

Lancor: You can't escape me!

Ninja: Oh really? *she slashes a card* Fire Spin!

A tornado of flames surrounds Lancor and Blackout.

Ninja: Come on!

They run into a corridor.

Lancor: This cannot be!

The others are running for their lives. With 1 minute left, they reach an opening.

Ninja: My escape pod is gone. We'll have to use your Phoenix and Dragon.

They fly away on Fi and AD. The fortress makes an explosion and begins to fall into the sea.

Hamtaro: Is it over? Is he, dead?

Ninja: That should've killed him. I destroyed all other routes out.

After a while, they see an escape pod go out really fast. Everyone gasps.

Fi: He's still alive!

Lancor: *on speaker* you may of won this time, but you still cannot defeat me! I will be waiting for you on Gijiki Island! And by the way, you haven't destroyed the supply compartment of energy that my now destroyed Generator gave me! I still have it! Ha ha ha ha ha!!!!!!

Ninja: The terror continues....

Later on, at the shore of some place.

Raishiuko: Thanks for saving us. But who are you?

Ninja: Well. Normally we specialized warriors for the Game Master should keep names secret for in some cases. But since Lancor is now far away and not able to find us, I can tell you. But you should know who I am really.

She takes off her face mask.

Everyone else: Maria?!

Maria: Yes. It's me.

Bijou: Oh Maria!

She goes to Maria, who picks her up.

Osimaru: You work for the Game Master? I didn't know that?

Maria: Heh Heh. Funny story really.

Raishiuko: Well thanks again. Now we know exactly who to thank.

Maria: Yes indeed.

T.W: *softly hitting Boss's side* Eh hem.

Boss: What?

T.W: You know what. Now go.

He kicks him forward.

Maria: Oh hello. You must be Boss. I've been watching you in this game. And I must say you are a pretty good fighter.

Boss: Um...Thanks...

Maria: You a field hamster? Even better?

Boss: Oh wait! If you were watching me, then you must have seen me and Bijou....

He stops to realize he was about to reveal about them kissing. He blushes.

Maria: He. It's okay. I don't mind. You're a very good hamster, I trust you.

Boss: Really?

Maria: Yep. If Bijou does, so do I.

Bijou: She's right you know.

Boss: Okay. Good.

Maria: Okay everyone. I think it's best if you now log out and not return to this game for awhile.

Haruki: Oh why not? I was starting to like being on this team.

Daichi: Me too. Why must we leave?

Hamtaro: Actually. That's a good idea. Now that Onaka and Ivit are back, they are safe. Right?

Maria: Yes. But this isn't just for you. This is for everybody in this game. We already sent a message telling everyone to leave the game for the next few days.

We don't want anyone in the way of us getting rid of Lancor and his BA organization.

Raishiuko: Why can't we help?

Maria: He's just too powerful for anyone right now. Even for us. But we are going to unleash a wave of De-Levelvication on the entire game. Everyone affected will lose their powers. So they go back to level one. It's best if everyone left so they don't get affected. And...If that doesn't work...We have to result in...

There was a silence-

Maria: The Bomb.

Osimaru: What's that?

Maria: This Bomb will permanently delete a person's data. Meaning, they can never make a file in this game, no matter what kind of server, computer component, or whatever. So if anyone were to of been effected by the Unlog-out Virus, they would be destroyed forever. This is what we hope to do to Lancor.

Raishiuko: Wouldn't you be destroying yourself?

Maria: We have a base that is unaffected by anything in the game. Including the effects of the Bomb. Anything that we are currently using for operation purposes will not be affected by it.

Hamtaro: Sounds neat.

Maria: Okay. I think it's best to go now. The operation starts tomorrow morning. So see ya guys later. Bijou, let's go.

Bijou: Okay.

They both log out.

Haruki: Man. I can't believe I have to log out now. This stinks.

Daichi: Hey. As soon as Lancor is gone, we can get back together.

Osimaru: You'll be okay, won't you Fi?

Fi: I will Master. I am not a player, so I won't be affected by any of that stuff.

AD: Me neither. Besides, this is a good time to get back on each other.

Raishiuko: Okay.

Nike: Well see ya tomorrow at school Raishiuko.

He logs out.

Haidae: Gotta go!

Logs out.

Raishiuko: Let's go Hamtaro.

Hamtaro: Okay.

They log out.

Osimaru: Come along Oxnard.

Oxnard: Okay.

They log out.

Boss: Okay hams, let's get out of here.

They all log out. But they did not know that they are being watched by Blackout...

Meanwhile, back in the real world, at Bijou's house. Bijou is sleeping *still with her C.R.A.P-C- on.

Maria: *going to bed* (You know Bijou. That Boss character isn't bad. Maybe one day, if possible...you could put some more room in that cage....)

She falls asleep. Then a shadowy hamster figure appears at the window, and opens it. Bijou slowly wakes up.

Bijou: Erm...Huh? *sees figure, it looks like Boss without his hat* Boss?

The eyes glow.

? Come to me my pretty.

Her eyes go into a trance like state. She is now hypnotized.

Meanwhile...Boss is walking by Maria's place with some cheese. He is on his way home.

Boss: This cheese outta be good for tomorrow's dinner. I can't wait. *hears something* Huh?

He sees a shadowy figure walk from the house with Bijou.

Boss: Is that Bijou? And who's that?

Still with the cheese in paws, he secretly follows. After a while, he peeks into a clearing.

Boss: What's going on?

The figure turns on Bijou's C.R.A.P-C- and injects her with the Unlog out Virus.

Boss: What's he doing?

? Ah yes my pretty. You're mine at last.

The shadow fades to reveal Blackout.

Boss: Blackout.

Then Blackout makes a portal to the game.

Boss: How'd he manage to do that?

Blackout picks up Bijou and goes to the portal.

Boss: Hey wait! Stop right there!

Blackout: You're too late fool! She's mine now!

Meanwhile...T.W was walking at night for fresh air when he heard the noise.

T.W: What the?

He goes over to the notice. He sees Blackout *with Bijou in paws* jumping into the portal, and then Boss jumping after*

T.W: Boss!

He runs over to the portal area but the portal disappears.

T.W: Oh no, oh no. I tell someone about this. Boss is back in the game, and someone took Bijou in with them. And they're about to do the operation soon!

He runs off into another direction.

Next time...Boss must go after Blackout, and confront him, to save Bijou. It'll be hard, and he doesn't have much time. Will Boss be able to defeat Blackout before the operation begins? And will he get Bijou out of the trance? Find out, as true love and true power takes its course in, Fight of Love! Upgrade to Warrior!
