Haunted or a Hoax?

"Oh honey, it's beautiful!" said Ruth.

"We'll take this house!" cried Jake.

A married couple and their two-year-old daughter was looking for a house in Chanterrel, Florida. It was a beautiful fancy mansion with all the works. It hadn't been used for almost ten years, because of what history lurks behind that stoned build structure.

"But I must warn you," said the house maid, "We had gotten complaints from the last couple who lived here."

The couple frowned, "What kind of complants?" they both asked.

The house maid shook her head, "It's best rather not spoken of, let's just say I warned you."

With that the maid walked out leaving the family behind.

"She warned you..."

Chapter 1

Year1867

Resureyu sat on her bed up in her room, mourning of a death of her beloved brother's loved one, Marie. It was a cold, rainy morning in April or Chanterrel, Florida. She brushed her long blonde hair that was ankle-length, bonded with a black ribbon upon it.

She loved rainy days...but why? Why did she love rainy days? Well, perhaps she was a morbid girl who lived with only her money-pocketed older brother. Some did say she was insane and didn't get out much to enjoy to sunlight of beautiful sunny days.

Some were right about Resureyu not getting out to see the sunshine. That's because Resureyu didn't like to make new friends, the only friends she ever had was the two house maids Dark Bijou and Zeena, and her beloved cat called Pywackette, a black male cat with amber colored eyes.

Resureyu was very fond of her older brother because he basically raised after both of their parents died, she hated to have other girls near him. They were always together no matter what. That was...until she met Marie.

Marie was her brother's fiance, Resureyu was not too fond of her at all. Marie was always getting his attention taken away from Resureyu. Marie was always a 'goody-goody' and that made Resureyu angry.

Marie treated Resureyu like she was a baby and childish. At night Resureyu laid on her bed, listening to the two having 'fun' in bed, hearing the screams and moans of pleasure, Resureyu got full of hatred. Hatred.....Sadness.....angst.....murder.

Mornings were spent in the dining room, Marie making breakfast. Resureyu making tea for each of them, including herself. After breakfast, Resureyu approached Marie, with a grim smirk.

"Marie, I do believe you and my brother are heading out tonight," Resureyu spoke in a grimmly way, softly.

"Yes, we are and while we're gone, you will do your studies and keep out of our way," Marie sneered, pulling her silver hair back in a pink ribbon.

When Marie went upstaires to change in her finest gowning, Resureyu walked over to her piano and sat down on the bench. Her gentle fingers touched each key, stroking each one gracefully...into a melody....into a song.

Her brother, ever since he met Marie he ignored Resureyu, he never thought about anyone else but Marie. Resureyu by then, grew cold, heartless, and broken.

Resureyu thought she was never going to get her brother's attention back, she laid on her bed that rainy night, thinking about her childhood. Her silver eyes with a shading of electric-blue opened and gazed at the ceiling, letting out a lonely sigh, she wanted to die....

'No!' she thought, clutching her fists tightly bringing them to her chest, she shouldn't die. No. Never. Ever. EVER. She wasn't the one who deserved to die.
