Chapter1-Harry,Ron,Hermione and a book sent from Sirius and Remus...

[Sorry they are very OOC in the lake scene or maybe not, Sirius could be rubbing off on them

"Hey guys," Harry Potter said as he entered the compartment that his two best friends Ron and Hermione were in,

"How ya been Harry?" Ron asked jumping up and hitting Harry on the back.

"What the last thirty minutes? Fine Ron," Harry said with a smirk. "It's great to be going back isn't it? I mean the summer was great and I love being able to hang out with Sirius and Remus ... but you can't help miss Hogwarts when your away, it just isn't the same"

"Oh please Harry everyone knows the only reason you want to go back is to prank people and play Quiditich." Said Hermione not even bothering to look up from her book as she talked.

"And the girls Hermione, can't forget about the girls." Said Ron his voice full of amusement. Harry laughed, while Hermione just rolled her eyes.

"Boys" she muttered before going back to her reading.

Later that evening, after the welcome feast and speech Harry, Ron and Hermione were sitting at a table in the corner of the common room with an odd looking book, conversing in low tones. "Harry, this is so...," Ron began to say but Hermione interrupted.

"Where did you get this?!" she said excitedly.

"Sirius and Remus gave it to me right before we left" Harry replied, handing the book to Hermione.

"As I was saying before Hermione interrupted," Ron said, glaring at Hermione who was to busy reading to notice, “This is awesome." Suddenly Hermione jumped up having in no doubt found something exciting.

"Hey guys look at this. Time travel!" Hermione said her eyes glinting, the boys looked at each other, their eyes growing wide.

"Bloody hell you aren't serious are you Hermione? I mean you what sane adult would give Harry a book with a time
travel potion in it, knowing full well that we would want to try it out?"

Hermione just smirked, "Apparently Sirius and Remus would, Ron... what, don't tell me your afraid?"

Ron looked at Hermione in complete shock, before grabbing her shoulders and shaking her. "Who are you and what have you done with our Hermione?!" He yelled gaining strange looks from people in the common room and also managing to completely ignore Hermione's question. Hermione rolled her eyes while Harry looked slightly amused.

"Ron get off me!" Hermione said pushing him off his chair and onto the floor.

"Listen it's just that with Voldemort and all I think we need something to light up our day, and as long as we don't mess with what's supposed to happen...yes Harry that means you can't save your parents... I honestly see no problem in it do you?"

"No I guess you have a point there Hermione heh who knew? Hermione is actually encouraging us to break the rules. Our little Hermione is growing up."

"I think we should tape this..." Harry said in mock seriousness, "this might never happen again" Hermione threw a pillow at Harry's head while Ron just looked plain confused.

"Hey guys what's a tape?" asked Ron

Harry just rolled his eyes and smiled "Don't worry about it mate, just muggle stuff."

"Ok, so under the cloak, me and Ron will sneak into Snape's store room and get: eye of newt, moon beetles, thyme and oil of frog, "Harry said, laying out the plan "Agreed?".

There where 2 simultaneous "yes'" From Ron and Hermione.

When the common room was empty, Harry and Ron left through the portrait hole, while Hermione and Ginny [who they had to tell what was going on after she threatened to tell Mrs.Weasley who it was that really broke her favorite table stayed to get things ready. They snuck down the halls checking the Marauders Map every so often to be sure no one else was wandering the halls, well no one they wanted to get caught by anyway.

They made it to Snape's store room without any delays, checked the map once more, and entered. Ron kept look out while Harry got the ingredients, as soon as Harry had the ingredients, they hurried back to the common room. They only paused to check the map, and run to the kitchen to get a snack.

When Harry and Ron arrived at the common room, they found Ginny and Hermione reading and doing homework in front of the fire. They snuck quietly upstairs and carefully put the ingredients in Harry’s trunk.

The next morning Harry and Ron went to get an early breakfast in the Great Hall while Ginny and Hermione slept. Since it was Saturday, and still pretty early there were only a few people in the Great Hall.

They ate quickly and headed back to the common room. Where Hermione and Ginny were waiting for them.
Quickly and quietly they gathered the supplies they needed for the potion. When they got back down to the common room, students were just starting to emerge from their dormitories including Fred, George and to Harry's surprise his sister, Jp. His eyes widened

"Crap she's not supposed to be home for another week she finds out about this I'm dead." He said as he pushed Ron, Hermione and Ginny out of the portrait hole. As fast as they could, they made their way to the second floor girl’s bathroom.

When they got there they found a stall, and after making sure it wasn't Moaning Murtle's, and unpacked all of the supplies.

Hermione said excitedly "Lets get to work!" Hermione opened the book and began to read

"First add eye of newt,” she said.

"Done, now what?" asked Ginny.

"Then add the moon beetles and oil of frog at the same time."

"Ok" said Harry and Ron.

"Stir 5 times clockwise, then 5 times counter-clockwise" Ginny stirred the potion exactly as told, and it turned an indigo color.

"What's next?" Ginny asked.

"Add thyme," Hermione said, "Then stir clockwise 10 times."

"That's done," Ginny said the potion was now lavender.

"Now we let it sit for and hour. Lets go to the Room of Requirement and practice the incantation.

When they reached the Room of Requirement [room that abides to the needs of people, they walked in from of the entrance until the door appeared. As they entered the teens took out their wands. Hermione pulled out the book, "The incantation is 'Le temps passé', and you sort of jab at whatever you are transporting." The room filled with the sound of 'Le temps passé' as the group practiced, now since they were a highly intelligent group they had it down within 10 minutes.

They still had another 50 minutes to spare before the potion would be ready and decided to go out into the sunlit grounds since it was such a nice day.

When they got out to the grounds they decided to sit at their favorite place under the shaded tree near the lake, which was luckily unoccupied considering the surprising amount of people out. They passed a bunch of 5th years talking of the O.W.L's they'd have to take that year.

"Look... there's Malfoy," Ron proclaimed

"Hey, Malfoy!" yelled Harry. Malfoy took one look at the approaching group and practically ran for cover in the castle., unfortunately for him, he didn't make it.

Harry and Ron had their wands out and Malfoy went soaring into the middle of the lake. "Mr. Weasley! Miss. Weasley! Miss. Granger! Mr. Potter! What do you th-" she didn't have time to finish for the four kids that where in front of her just seconds ago, vanished.

They spent the rest of the hour in the girl’s bathroom, deciding on the year that they should travel to. Finally deciding on 1973. Harry wrote 1973 on a piece of parchment and added it to the potion and stirred it three times clockwise.

They each got a cup of the disgusting looking potion.

"I hope this works" Ginny said, saying out loud what everyone was to nervous to voice.

They all drank down the potion with disgusted looks on their faces, looking as if they had just been dared to swallow Neville's pet toad Trevor.. Then simultaneously they pointed their wands at themselves and said "La Temps Passé."

There was a flash of blinding light and they all felt their feet leave the ground.

AN- as my best friend annoyingly reminded me 'Le Temps Passé' is French incase any one is interested, if anyone has a better incantation please feel free to tell me
