DANCING WITH THE ENEMY
Chapter Nine: The Halloween Ball- Part I
October 31
Finally. It was finally here. The time when Hermione could show off her Dancing to everyone in Hogwarts, with Draco by her side. She was currently standing in her head dorm, in front of a mirror, wearing her amazing ball bown. It wouldn't be the outfit she would dance in though, no, she would be chaning into that later.
The dress that she was attending in was a white ball gown, with thin straps that went over her shoulders and attached to the back of her dress, which started just above her bottom. It was a no-back dress, and the front of the dress was V necked, Hermione's full cleveage being shown easily. There were whit diamonds and sequens on the dress, stitched in under the bodice of the dress.
The top was connected to the sirt of the dress, that poofed out and made Hermione feel like Cinderella. Embroided in the skirt of the dress were white diamonds as well and they seemed to wink from the lights. On Hermione's feet she wore, thanks to her magic and love in fairy tales, a pair of glass slippers(), which fit her feet pefectly.
On her arms, she wore a white gold bracelt on her left wrist, a golden ring on her right index finger and on her right arm, a white gold snake coiled around her upper arm. Her hair was straight, and she wore half of it up, while the other half was left down. Holding up the hair that was up, her mother's old white gold clip, with white flowers and sequences stuck on it. Throughout her hair taht fell down her back, white flowers were laced into the soft brown hair.
She wore half of a white feathered mask, the right side, that covered her black and blue eyeshaowed, masscared eye (the other was also done this way) and feathers and white diamonds were laced and stuck onto the mask. Draco would be wearing a similar mask, only his would be the left side and it would be black. She couldn't wait to see what the gorgeous boy would be wearing.
Taking in a deep breath, she smiled at her reflection before turning around and walking out of her head dorm, towards the great hall where she would be meeting her prince charming.
Draco stood infront of his own mirror, smiling as he finished the last parts of his outfit. Tonight would be one to remember. He wanted Hermione to feel wonderful and special tonight and ,By George, as the Muggle term went, he was going to make it happen.
The dress robes he wore were traditional yet fashionable. They were very much like the ones that he wore to the Yule Ball three years ago, but he had changed certain things about his new robes that only Hermione would notice when dancing with him, and she was going to be dancing with him.
The dress robes he wore were black robes, much liek the school ones he owned, except they were only wrap around robes, ones that he could take off if it got to hot. Under the robes he wore a black turtle neck sweater (one of his best and most expensive) that had long sleeves that reached his hands. He wore a pair of balck trousers that fell to his feet though they sat rather low, under his belly button but just above his mae anatomy, good thing his sweater was long.
His golden pockwatch on a godl chain connected from his belt hoop and sat in his left pocket, the golden chain twinkiling whenever he moved in the lights. On his right ring finger he wore his "S" (Slytherin) class ring that all seventh years were presented by professor Snape at the beggining of the year. It was a gorgeous ring, that was black and green, the S being green and the band itself being black. The S was in the middle of a green and black snake, its head raised about to strike. Draco loved the ring and was goign to give it to someone he cared about more so tonight.
His hair, its beautiful blonde colour, was not gelled, as he had given up that stupid habit back in sixth year. It lay calmly on his head, strands sometimes falling over his eyes, making him look even more dashing than before.
The half black mask that he wore was a deep black, a distant black, that could not be thought any other colour aprt from black. Unlike Hermione's as he knew because he had seen it when Dumbeldore presented them their masks, his didn't have feathers, but was instead lined with black crystals and diamonds along the edging, sparkling slightly.
He couldn't wait to see what Hermione looked like, and when he saw her, he was goign to kiss her...maybe even ravish her. But more about that later. taking in a deep breath, he sighed then made his way out of his dorm, meeting Blaise in the common room and the two of them walking to the great hall, both goign to retreive their dates. (Blaise had asked a pretty ravenclaw girl by the name of Florence Nightengale to the ball.)
Draco and Blaise stood in the Hall, waiting for thier dates with patience. Harry and Ginny had already gone in, (Ginny for some reason had given Draco a quick wink when she walked in, making Draco think that she knew what hermione looked liek) and Ron and Lavender had soon followed. Just as Florence took a hold of Blaise's arm, Blaise looked up and gasped. Draco followed his eyes and nearly died.
There was an angel......an angel who looked amazing......an angel who was Hermione.
Draco smilied softly as the clad in white young woman walked down the stairs carefully, so as not to trip. When she finally reached darco, she smiled.
'Good evening,' she whispered, smilign at him.'Wow...Hermione, you look amazing love,' he replied, pulling a red rose that he hid behind his back out for her to view and grasp.
Hermione took the rose and brought it to her nose, sniffing it quickly and letting a soft smile grace her features.'Can I...kiss you?' Draco asked, not wanting to push her. Hermione looked up into his grey eyes and smiled.
After a quick nod, Draco dropped his lips to her's in a passionate kiss that left Hermione breathless. It was an amazing kiss that made her feel on Cloud 9.As Draco pulled away from the kiss, her eyes still shut and a small smile on her lips, Draco laughed quietly and kissed her forehead. Opening her eyes softly, hermioen smiled.
'Well then,' he said, extening his arm for her to take, which she did, 'shall we?''We shall.' The large doors to the hall opened.
