Harry Potter - Series Fan Fiction ❯ Forgotten One ❯ Prologue ( Prologue )

~*~*~ READ THE AUTHOR'S NOTE BEFORE THE CHAPTER ~*~*~
Author's Note: Ok. So, as much as I love the HP series, there were some things I didn't like, and therefore am going to change, sorry. First off, I like Sirius, and I don't want him to be dead. So instead, he didn't die. I am making him alive and well, and cleared of all charges. Don't ask how, because I didn’t think of that. I was to lazy to think about that, but I just wanted Harry to get a little happiness. Also, this is going to take place in the summer before there 6th year, and during there 6th year, because well, I HATED the sixth book. I really did. So yeah, chucking that. Sorry if that makes anyone unhappy. But guess what; being a Fanfiction writer allows me to do whatever I want. I am allowed to manipulate the storyline if I want to. Plus I think that makes it more interesting. Also, you will notice that I threw in my own OC [original character]. I like OCs, only because I think that they make the story more interesting. I would like to let you know though that think character was based from my imagination, and is therefore mine. She isn't based on anyone I know, myself included. I did not put myself in the story. In fact, I really am nothing like the girl I described. Just so you know. While I am a fan girl, I do not think that my own contribution to the HP series would be anything remotely good. Please read and enjoy my fic, it will be fairly modest in size, and all other chapters will be at least twice as long. Enjoy! ^_^
Disclaimer: I wish, but sadly no, the Harry Potter series belongs to JK Rowling. If it did belong to me however...*evil grin* Hehehehe
Prologue
The acrid air was hot, steaming from the ground, in late July. This was by far one of the hottest days so this year. There was no breeze, no way to cool down, only the hot, acrid air and steamy sidewalk. And the two recognizable individuals who stood out to the passerby’s.
The two were a sightly pair, an elder man with long silvery hair, and a beard, and the beautiful girl that walked beside him. The elder man was talking; the girl was just staring at the ground, an amused smile on her face. Anyone who saw them would think that they were related, as grandfather and daughter, but the two unlikely pair weren’t really related at all.
The girl looks about 16 or so, on the tall side, with short blonde hair and red highlights, giving her an energetic teen, but in this weather nothing was certain. She had large, gorgeous crystal blue eyes, and a pearly white smile, on lightly bronzed skin that just screamed to the world that this girl was special. Even in this heat she wore form fitting black jeans, and a black halter with glitter at the cut-off, right above her hip bones, showing just a little midriff skin. She fit onto it very nicely, a sexy not skanky outfit, like a girl who clearly new how to dress herself. She wore a black beaded cross choker, huge fake black pearl earrings, and black barbed wire bracelets on her right wrist. She had smoky eye makeup with lip gloss and no blush, seeing as the weather didn’t permit it. Yet even in the heat her make-up didn’t smear; in fact, she didn’t look hot at all, at least not in that sense,
Either way, she was stunning in just casual attire. She stood out in the crowd, caught peoples eye; when she would catch them looking she would smile and wave and offer them an excited ‘Hello, have a nice day!’. She acted extremely social, like it was the first time she had been around this many people at once.
“We will be arriving soon,” said the older man, smiling down at the teen. “I hope you will try and make a good impression…” he said, trailing off.
“Hey D, nothing is a guarantee with me, you know that. And you still haven’t told me about these people.” the girl said, crossing her arms in a pout, staring now at the elder. “I mean, I have every intention of being nice, especially if you put me in a house of hotties, but I gotta know at least something about these people first….”
“So you have to ask me, huh?” he said, a strong smile playing on his lips, glancing at the girl quickly before adverting his head.
“I was gonna bring that up….HEY! How did you do that?! I didn’t think anyone could block themselves off from me?!?!” she exclaimed, her face in shock, but her eyes in knowing. “What do you know that you don’t want me to?” she asked him, her voice softening, the shock stripped, slowly being placed with suspicion.
“Harry will be there.” the elder said softly. He turned his head away from the girl, staring intently ahead as he continued to speak. “They mustn’t find know who you are yet, not now anyway, ok Rae?” He asked.
“Yeah, yeah, fine, don’t say anything to --- WAIT?!?! HARRY IS GOING TO BE THERE?!?!” Rae screamed, receiving her some skeptic looks from the passerby’s. She calmed herself quickly, looking towards the older man, then the ground, her smile now faded. She wanted an answer. And now. Why hadn’t D mentioned this beforehand? There was history to think about after all…
Even if no one remembered…
“I’m sorry I didn’t tell you sooner-” he started, but Rae interrupted.
“I know you D, and I know you’re not. You don’t apologies, because if you do something, you do it for a good reason, if I don’t always agree with it. But I don’t understand why you didn’t want me to know. Didn’t you think I could handle it?” Rae asked, now scuffing her feet on the sidewalk, her head down.
“I think you’re a perfectly capable witch Rae” he said simply.
“Hmph. Oh well, I guess you had your reasons. I’ll be a good girl. Not like they would believe me anyway…”she said, pouting.
“Sure you will Rae.” he said, smiling down at the youth before returning his attention to the road ahead. This sure was going to get interesting.
The return of the forgotten one.
