After taking off from Number 4, Privet Drive, Harry, Leo and the guard flew for about a half-hour, before they landed what looked to be a muggle neighborhood. As soon as they landed, Moody shoved a parchment to Harry, and told him to read quickly. He motioned to do the same to Leo, but the note burst into flames before Moody could hand it to him. After dropping the paper, which curled up into ash, he looked questioningly to Leo. "I can already see the place, so I don't need to be let in on the secret." That was all Leo said, so Moody took it on a token of faith.
Once Harry had finished reading the parchment, he tried to ask his question. "What is the Or--" but he was cut off by Moody snatching the parchment back. "Don't talk about it in the open, wait till we're inside." With that said, Moody set the parchment of fire with his wand, much like Leo did to his piece. A few seconds later, Harry noticed a house appear that wasn't there before. It was the house they were looking for, Number 12, Grimmauld Place. Supposedly, the headquarters for the Order of the Phoenix.
Once the house appeared, Harry and Leo were ushered inside by the guard. They made it inside easily enough, but when they were in, Tonks accidentaly tripped over an umbrella stand, causing a curtain to draw back. The moment it did, there was an earsplitting sound that rang through the whole house. "Filth! Ingrates! Insolent creatures!" were some things heard from her mouth, while Harry held his ears to shield out the noise, Leo calmly approached the painting. He stared right into the womans eyes, and said only two words. "Shut up." "What did you say, you insolent little brat?!" was her response. Leo took that moment to activate his eyes, giving them blood red pupils with three blood red comma marks in each eye. He stared right into her eyes again, and said "Shut up or I'll make you shut up." She looked at his different eyes, and began to fear him. Her screams stopped, and Leo drew the curtain over her portrait once again.
At that time, another person came running up the hall, looking around frantically. "Who managed to shut the old hag up this time?" was his question. Moody pointed to Leo, and when the man looked, he expected to see a wand drawn on the portrait. But when he saw none, he voiced his confusion. "How did you managed to shut her up without using your magic? And for that matter, who in the hell are you?" Leo, forgetting to deactivate his eyes, turned around and faced the man. "I just used persuasion to calm her down." was his response. Seeing his shocked look, Leo finally figured out his eyes were still changed. Quickly, he deactivated them, and extended his hand. "My name's Leo Masaki, and I'm a friend of Harry Potter's."
Sirius stared for a moment, but then he reached out his hand and grasped Leo's. "The name's Sirius Black. How exactly did you meet Harry anyway?" Sirius said, and voiced out his question as well. "I'll tell you that when everyone can hear, I hate having to repeat myself." With that said, they all headed to the kitchen, and when they arrived, Harry was greeted by Mrs. Weasley. "I'm glad you're here, away from those awful muggles." Mrs. Weasley said, easily voicing her opinion of Harry's living arrangements. Not long afterwards, all the people Harry knew had voiced their hello's.
"So, Leo, was it? Why don't you tell us exactly how you met Harry?" Sirius asked. Moody nodded his head, and everyone, aside from Harry, immediately focused in on the conversations. "I met him a few weeks ago. He was at the park near his house, and I was passing by. I stopped and introduced myself, then we were attacked by Death Eaters. I sent them packing, and that's what happened. Any other questions?" Leo's story was watered down, but they could tell he had told them the necessary parts of the story.
"When you said you sent the Death Eaters packing, what exactly did you do?" Moody voiced out the question that was bugging everyone, minus Harry of course. "One of them hit me with a Cruciatus curse, but I trained myself to ignore all the unforgivables. When they saw the curse had no effect on me, they freaked out, and ran for it." All jaws were on the floor. The Order members because of what Leo told them had happened, and Harry's from hearing Leo say he was trained to ignore the pain from the Cruciatus curse.
Just then, the fireplace erupted into emerald green flames, and out stepped Professor Dumbledore, since there was a meeting at about this time. Dumbledore's gaze almost instantly landed on Leo, and his eyes widened in shock. "Who is this boy and why is he here?" Leo answered the question before anyone else could. "I'm here because I was invited by Harry Potter, and I'm also here to offer some assitance in your fight with Voldemort." Dumbledore thought for a moment, and in the silence, Leo stood to leave. "Of course if you don't want the help, I guess I can just let you struggle against his tactics, and I can just go back home. Your choice." That was all it took to snap Dumbledore out of his stupor. "But how exactly do you plan to help with Voldemort? You barely look to be seventeen."
Sirius was the one to answer this time. "He goes by the name Leo Masaki." That was all it took for Dumbledore to go wide-eyed again. "Well, now I believe you have an idea of who it is that's offering some assitance. So, what's it gonna be, Albus?" Leo questioned, a menacing look on his face, almost like he was teasing the Headmaster. "Please, I know all about you, and your abilities, so, will you please help us with Voldemort?" Dumbledore asked his question like he was pleaing.
"If Harry sees fit to let me help, I will." Everyone's confusion doubled at this comment. "Harry is the only one that can decide if I stay because I'll be training him to fight Voldemort. And no, before you ask, I will not be fighting Voldemort myself." The whole time Leo was saying this, Harry was trying to figure out something in his mind. 'Why on Earth is Leo offering to teach me. I don't think I can do anything to stop Voldemort.'
"Yes, you actually can do something to stop Voldemort." Spoke a womans voice from inside his head. 'Who said that?' was Harry's question, answering in his mind since he might look foolish saying it out loud. "It's Orochi Harry. When you destroyed part of the seal, I am now able to see things through your eyes, and I can also talk to you in your mind." Confusion still evident in Harry, he only just managed to not show it on his face, making it seem like he was still listening to the Order members firing questions about the training Leo will put Harry through. "Now, before you say anything else Harry, you do actually stand the best chance out of anyone, minus Leo of course, of defeating Voldemort. You seem destined to do it, and that is why he is training you. No doubt my brother, Ryu, suggested he train you."
"Well, if there are any more questions, go ahead and say them now." Harry's conversation with Orochi stopped there, as he heard Leo state that line. "I've got a question. You claim to be a hot shot wizard, but all I've seen so far are those weird eyes, and your telling of the Death Eater attack. How about you demonstrate to us just how powerful you really are?" The tall dark wizard, now identified as Kingsley Shacklebot, stated, then question, with a challenging tone in his voice. "I agree, we don't know if this kid can really even do anything to help us as it is. I say we test him to see how good he really is." A smelly, scraggly wizard named Mundungus Fletcher stated this part.
Leo just shrugged his shoulders at their challenges. "Well, if you insist, who wants to go first?" "I'll go first, I want to see just how good you are!" Kingsley loudly stated. Sirius saw this as a good time, and suggested they use the dueling platform upstairs. They all filled in, and with the other wizards and witches watching, Kingsley went up to stand on one end of the platform, his wand drawn and ready, while Leo walked up on the other side with an expression of pure boredom on his face, not even drawing a wand, just keeping his hands in his jean pockets. They bowed to each other, and when they turned to face each other from their respective sides, they got into stance, or at least Kingsley did. Leo still had the bored expression on his face staring at Kingsley. Dumbledore had decided to referee the match, and when they appeared to be ready, he counted down.
"Three...Two...One...Begin!!" No sooner had Dumbledore said the last part, Kingsley had fired three stunners at Leo, who merely dodged by flipping over them. As he landed, a Reducto spell was launched, and right before it hit, Leo drew one hand out and swatted the spell to the side, where it hit the floor and left only a scorch mark. Everyone saw this, and were confused about how he did this. Kingsley regained himself, and sent several more stunners at Leo, who dodged them lazily. "I thought you were serious about trying to beat me? Well, I guess this is about the best I should expect from someone of your level." This comment sent Kingsley into a full blown rage, and he fired a purple colored spell at Leo, but as the spell drew closer, Leo didn't even bother moving or blocking it. A second before it hit, he disappeared, letting the spell impact the platform, which burst into a deep purple colored fire. As Kingsley looked around for his opponent, he felt a blade press up against his back. Turning slightly, he saw Leo, a single crimson katana drawn, with it pressed to Kingsley's spine, with only enough pressure to show it was there, but it could easily cut him down where he stood. "I believe the match goes to me." Leo stated this in the same bored tone as earlier.
No one could believe what they had saw. Kingsley was one of the more powerful Aurors on their team, second only to Moody, and he was bested by a teenager in under two minutes. They began to realize he was a legit fighter, but Mundungus couldn't see past his ego, and he jumped onto the platform, shouting about his turn to have a go. Leo shrugged, sighed, and went back to his side, extinguishing the flames as he went. Once they had bowed, they got into position, Dung was clutching his wand tightly, but Leo was back into his bored stance, which seemed to only aggrevate Dung even more. Smirking, Leo turned to face him again. "This time, I'll use those 'weird eyes' as Kingsley so bluntly put it, just to give the crowd a show." He closed his eyes slowly, whispered "Ryuugan," which only Harry, Dumbledore, and Remus heard, then slowly, Leo's eyes opened again, revealing them to be deep blue, darker than before, with three blood red comma marks, and a blood red pupil in the middle. This managed to shock everyone, minus Harry, Moody, Dumbledore, and the others who had gone to pick up Harry.
Dung, however, didn't understand about his eyes, and merely thought he was trying to scare him with them. "Nice try kid, but I won't be fooled by your little tricks!" He then fired off several spells without even waiting for the match to begin. As the spells flew at Leo, he moved so fast, dodging in between the spells that only Harry, thanks to Orochi keeping track for him, Remus, with his werewolf senses, and Dumbledore, because of his experience, could keep up with. He rushed in front of Dung, and delivered an uppercut to his gut, sending him backwards. While Dung tried to focus again, he didn't even have time to move his wand as Leo stood in front of him, his arm outstretched with a ball of energy held ready to fire and blast Dung back if he tried anything. "Another match to me." Leo dropped his hand, and cancelled out the energy as he said this. He closed his eyes again, and when he reopened them, his eyes were back to their normal blue color.
Again, everyone was shocked at what had happened. They couldn't understand how Leo could have known where those spells would hit, and dodge them all so easily. 'How in the hell did he manage that?' Harry asked himself, forgetting that Orochi could hear his thoughts. "Those eyes you saw, the Ryuugan, as he called them, have a very special ability. The pupil focuses his main vision, and lets him see color, of course. The first comma allows him to read his opponents thoughts whenever he chooses to. The second comma allows him to copy an opposing technique after seeing it only once. The third comma mark grants him the ability to sense how the person will move, just by seeing one muscle move, and see all their attacks. I'm guessing the pupil has it's own ability too, but I'm not sure as of yet. This whole thing was probably designed by my brother, so I'm not even sure what kind of power it has behind it."
Leo walked to the edge of the platform, and jumped off, landing softly. He was approached by Harry, who congratulated him on the matches. Leo smiled, and thanked Harry before turning to the crowd. "Any other takers?" His question instilled slight fear into them, and Harry knew that very few, if any would take up his offer. Dumbledore stepped forward, and asked the question that was currently bothering him. "What exactly happened to your eyes? I saw that they changed, but how were you able to dodge all the spells, and move that quickly?" His question was straight to the point, but it was asked in a way that seemed to be more of a request than a demand. Leo sighed, and lifted up a sleeve of his trench coat, showing an odd device slung around his wrist. "This wristband you see now is what helps me move faster. No, it is not a body enhancer, quite the opposite. It's a weight system that was designed by a friend of mine. It started out weighing only twenty-five pounds when I started wearing them, but they have increased by 25 pounds every few days, at my will." They all looked a Leo, thinking of a way to ask their next question. Finally, Ron, who was watching the whole thing from a slight distance, asked it for them. "When did you start wearing those?" Leo thought for a moment, then anwered. "I believe I was five when I started, so about 12 years." Jaws literally hit the floor, as Dumbledore began a question. "How much--?" "I believe at a cursory guess, they weigh about 10 tons each. And they only get heavier from here." Leo interrupted the question, and answered it for them.
A few people were actually drooling at this, thinking about how strong he must be, but it was the girls in the room doing the drooling. The men were just wondering how he could handle that much weight. "Well, since no one has any objections to my staying, and since no one wants to duel, let's head down stairs and grab a bite to eat." Harry turned to Leo, and nodded, just now realizing how hungry he was. With that said, Leo, Harry, Ron, Hermione, the Order and the Weasley's all left the duelling room, heading back to the kitchen. Snape was currently at the back of the group, thinking heavily about what he had just seen. 'If this boy is really that powerful, the Dark Lord will have too much trouble to handle. I'll have to see if I can convince Dumbledore to force him to leave.' With that, he began thinking of methods to get rid of Leo, while Harry was having his own conversation with Orochi, while he was walking next to Leo.
'So, Orochi, what exactly did you think of Leo in the duels? I've never seen anything like that, but I'm just glad he's with us.'
"More or less Harry, he's with you. He knows that with the right training, you will be able to defeat that wanna be dark lord. I'm also glad myself that he isn't thinking of crossing over to Moldywarts side." Harry heard that last part, and smiled at the nickname she had given Voldemort.
'Well, when do you think he'll start my training?'
"If I'm guessing right, he'll probably begin the training first thing tomorrow. Well, enough chit-chat, we're at the kitchen, so make sure to eat your fill, Harry." That last line, Orochi stated in almost a motherly tone, which she blushed to, and Harry grinned to himself.
After the meal, Harry, Leo, the other children were sent upstairs while the Order had their member. Leo had been invited to attend, much to Snape's disliking, but Leo told them he had better things to do than listen to reports from others. When they reached a room on the third floor, Leo leaned against a wall near the bed, Harry sat on the bed, with Hermione at the end, and Ron next to her. Ginny was sitting on a chair between Harry and Leo, evidently showing mistrust to Leo, since he was so close to Harry. A question voiced itself by Ron half shouting it to Leo.
"What exactly are you planning to do here?" Hermione gave him a look that almost said "Idiot" while Harry and Ginny were laughing at Ron's outburst. Leo was stifling his laughter by covering his mouth. "What's so funny? I asked you a question, it's only common courtesy to answer." Ron, slightly red faced, watched as Leo stopped laughing, and turned to him.
"I told this to the Order, I'm going to train Harry in all the areas he needs to know. He does have Voldemort after him, so he will need the help." Leo noticed Ron and Ginny shiver at the mention of Voldemorts name, but he brushed that aside. "So, anymore questions you want to ask? And this time, you don't have to shout them, cause I can hear just fine."
"What exactly did you do to your eyes?" Hermione was the one to voice this question. Though Harry knew the answer, he feigned ignorance, and focused in, just like Ron and Ginny were.
"It's called the Ryuugan. It's a special ability only I can use. You saw the three comma marks, right?" They all nodded. "Well, each comma has it's own special ability. Comma number one allows me to read my opponents mind. Comma number two allows me to copy any technique I witness and copy it to the smallest detail, even if I only see it once. Comma number three allows me tell what attack my opponent will use just by seeing them move even one muscle. Finally, the pupil's also hold an ability as well, but I don't think I'll tell you that just yet. Even Harry here doesn't know, so I'll keep that little bit of information to myself."
"Why exactly are you training only Harry? Why aren't you training all of us?" Ginny finally spoke, voicing a question that Ron and Hermione were both thinking at that same time.
"Because Harry is the only one here that can defeat Voldemort. Hermione, you have book smarts, and plenty of spells, but you lack the physical abilities. Ron, you have the physical attributes, but your spell knowledge is sorely lacking. And Ginny, you have resolve to learn enough to defend yourself, but not enough to what must be done. Harry is the only one that has what it takes, physically, and mentally, to endure the training I have planned for him."
Ginny, Ron and Hermione all had angered looks on their faces, since Leo had just named off their weakest points to them, making them feel foolish. Harry as still speechless at Leo had said. He was the only one that could survive the training. He didn't like the sound of that. As Harry was thinking, Leo turned to leave.
"Well, since that seems to cover the basic point, I'm gonna hit the sack. I'll catch you guys in the morning. Oh, and Harry." He turned to face Harry again. "We'll start your training at say, 9 am tomorrow. Dress in comfortable clothes, or else it will be hell to work." With that, he turned, and left heading back downstairs. Ron, Ginny, and Hermione, looked to Harry, and then they left as well, since Harry had his own room.
Once Leo walked past the kitchen, the Order saw him walking toward the front door. Dumbledore dashed out, and stood only a few feet behind him. "Leo, where do you think you're going?" Dumbledore's voice held a tone of demand and fear.
"Last I checked, I think I was heading home. You, know, the place where I live." The note of sarcasm in his voice was incredibly high, which caused Snape, who was behind Dumbledore, to raise an eyebrow while his right eye twitched.
"I'm afraid I can't let you do that Leo. You're in too much danger outside of this place. I fear as soon as you leave, Death Eaters will continue to hunt for you until they find you."
"And so what if they do? The worst that could happen is Voldemort come himself and fight me. He'd lose, and all his support would fly right out the window. He won't risk his image, so he'll only send Death Eaters after me, maybe giants or werewolves, but nothing I can't handle. Dragons may be pushing that envelope."
With that said, Leo walked right out the door, and apparated to his house when he made it to the street in front of the house. Dumbledore sighed heavily, thinking the teen was took cocky, while Snape had a smile on his face, thinking of how his master would reward him for handing him such a powerful being. The kid must have just been bluffing about earlier, no one could defeat his master, not even Dumbledore. Snape made an excuse that he had a Death Eater meeting to infiltrate, and left, intentions of telling all of Leo Masaki were playing in his mind.
