AN: This is kinda going to be a spin off of my other story I.N.S.I.L.Y. This time it will be a happier one. I was just in the mood for another one shot, and was hoping that I could write another good one. I hope after you read this you check out my other one-shots. I have to warn you, I do so love using O.C.'s so do not hate me for it. All reviews are welcome, even flames, but remember reviews do not have ratings so try to keep them within the rating category of the story. Here we go I hope you enjoy it.

How Should I Say, “I Love You”

“Harry get the Snitch!” A brunette called out. Her chocolate colored eyes cheering him on.

Harry was racing towards the snitch with Draco Malfoy right beside him. They were neck and neck. The Announcer for the game was going wild, as were the Gryffindors and Slytherins. “Potter and Malfoy are diving for the Snitch. It looks close.”

Theodore Nott, a beater for the Slytherins sneered. “I don't think so.” The Bludger was coming at him, so he aimed at the diving pair.

The brunette saw this and knew what was going to happen. “Not on my watch buddy. I may be a chaser, but I'll be damned if you hit Harry. Not when he's almost got the Snitch.”

The Gryffindor beaters were no where near close enough to intercept the Bludger, and they called out to her. “Brittany you have to intercept it.” One yelled at her.

Brittany was already speeding towards Harry as fast as she could. Theodore hit the Bludger right where the dive was headed. Brittany was halfway there when he sent it at Harry.

Brittany screamed at Harry, “No matter what Harry, don't look back.” He never looked back but nodding his head he showed he heard her advice.

“What is this? Nott has sent a Bludger toward Potter's dive, and Storm is speeding right in front of its path.”

The Bludger hit Brittany in the Stomach at 20 feet from the ground. She held onto if for dear life to prevent it from going after Harry. She dropped to the ground, landing on her arm funny, with a sickening crunch. She screamed in pain, but ignored it after a second. She quickly rolled over on top of the Bludger.

“Storm has intercepted the Bludger, and has laid on it. I have to say that she certainly knows how to `take one for the team.'” The announcer stated.

At the sound of the sickening crunch and scream of pain, Draco Malfoy looked back to see what had happened. This opportunity was what Harry needed. He soon sped up and grabbed the Snitch and pulled out of the dive. Draco was not so fortunate, and noticed he was five feet from the ground, when he looked forward again. He jumped off to save his broom, but the damage was done. At the speed he was going he hit his head pretty hard.

“Harry Potter has caught the Snitch, Gryffindors win!” The Announcer shouted happily. Gryffindors cheered as loudly as Possible, while the Slytherins all grumbled.

Harry landed only to be rushed by the team. “You did it mate!” Ron yelled giving him a high five.

Everyone turned to Brittany who finally freed the beater. “I knew you could do it. You rock Harry.”

The Gryffindor teamed turned to her and laughed. “Let's not forget Brittany Storm, the craziest bloody girl in the world.” Ron yelled loudly.

The Gryffindor teamed cheered her on, and she smiled broadly. “I do what I can!”

The Slytherin team all gathered around Draco. “Ugh, I can't believe we lost.” Nott stated. “If that little bitch had minded her own business and not flown into the Bludger we would have won.”

Marcus Flint agreed, “Yeah, I mean who is stupid enough to take a Bludger to the chest? No Slytherin would ever be dumb enough to do that. Right Draco?”

Draco nodded his head, but held it in his hands after it started pounding. “Hey man, are you alright?” Blaise Zabini asked concerned.

“I don't know I may have a concussion. I am going to see Madam Pompfrey.” He told the team as they headed for the dressing rooms.

There was a loud screech from Brittany before she punched Ron in his gut, with her good arm. “Don't poke my arm you git! That bloody hurts. I am going to the Hospital Wing, if you will leave me alone I'd appreciate it.” She yelled loudly. Harry and the others laughed.

Draco sighed, as the others walked to the dressing room. Might as well. “Hey Storm,” he called. “You need to go to the Hospital Wing right?”

Harry stepped forward intent on kicking Draco's ass if need be. “What's it to you Malfoy.” He spat.

“I was wondering if she wanted to come with me. She's so clumsy she may need help.” He responded back quickly.

Harry was about to yell at him, but Brittany shook her head. “Harry it's fine.” She turned to Draco. “Well I could say the same for you, but why not?” She agreed and followed him.

Ron and Harry looked at each other confused. “I think landing on his head broke his brain.” Ron admitted.

Everyone laughed, but Harry was still suspicious. Brittany was like a sister to him, and he wanted to protect her, especially if Malfoy was planning on revenge or something.

☼Hospital Wing☼

Madam Pompfrey was done examining both injured Quidditch players, and left them with orders to rest. She turned away all visitors; her patients needed quiet, not rowdy disruptive Quidditch players.

Draco was thinking over the past few weeks. He had begun to notice things about the Gryffindor that he should not have. She had always been able to make people feel better with a smile, or laugh at her jokes. She was pretty for a Gryffindork. She was nice to everyone, heck she agreed to come here with him.

The problem was that Draco knew he was falling for her. She was just too good to be true. Raised around men she was a tomboy, and could handle any sports conversation thrown her way. She played Quidditch with passion and she did it with style. She was loyal to a fault.

That was what kept him away from her. She and Potter seemed to be close, and after the performance today he was sure of it. Potty and her, the Gryffindork Sweet Hearts. He could see it now, and it made him sick. Potty is not good enough for her. Besides he has Weasel's sister.

He also faced his father's rules, and of course the Malfoy code. They do not fall in love. Unfortunately Draco feared he was falling too fast, and that made him nervous. If anyone found out, I'd be ruined.

Brittany was currently enjoying the pink spotted elephants her medication was letting her see. They're so cute. She thought a little loopy from pain medication.

Draco was annoyed by the silence, and decided he would find out the answer to what was bugging him. “Hey Storm, are you alive.”

“Yup.” She responded happily.

“I wanna ask you a question”

“You just did silly.” She laughed and looked at him smiling.

The smile amazed him; it really did make him feel better. “I'm going to ask another one then” He responded.

“Okay.” Brittany said sing-song voice and nodded at him.

“Why did you take that Bludger for Potter, even though you knew you'd get hurt?” Draco asked trying not to sound too curious.

“Well Harry was going after the Snitch. No offense but I couldn't just let Slytherin win. I took one for the team, and we won.” She stated like it was the most obvious thing in the world.

“Is that all? Are you sure it wasn't because of another reason.” He pressed wanting to know her feelings.

“Well I mean we are good friends, and good friends are willing to protect each other.” She responded again after thinking for a moment. The funny monkey she was seeing on Draco's head was distracting her.

“I meant, do you have special feelings for him?” He blurted out agitated. Under normal circumstances he probably would not have asked that, but his head injury may have been affecting him.

“Well yeah, he's like the big brother I never had. Why?” Brittany asked curious.

How can I tell her how I think I feel? What do I say?

A little voice in his head responded. Tell her you love her, dip shit.

Who are you?

Your Subconscious of course. Oh you may wanna pay attention; she's asking if you're okay. Remember what I said.

The voice left him alone, and Draco refocused on Brittany's concerned chocolate eyes. “Sorry, I guess the head injury is making me space out.” He responded realizing he said sorry without meaning to.

“Oh well. I do that too.” She responded. “So um, like I said, why did you wanna know?”

Draco sighed, “Well no normal person would risk physical harm without a good reason. I figured you were in love with him, even if he is dating Weasley's little sister.”

Brittany started chuckling. “I have never thought of Harry like that. It's almost like incest in my mind.”

Draco nodded his head. “Well, we're almost done with Hogwarts. What are you going to do afterwards?” He asked. This is the only time I'll have to get to know her.

“I'm going to become and Auror. I've already been guaranteed a job by the Ministry. What about you?” She wondered curiously. If he's going to be civilized then so will I.

“I really have no idea as of yet.” He answered truthfully.

“Well that's too bad. I hope you find something to pursue soon. We'll I'm beat, pun intended. So I am going to turn in.” Brittany laughed at her own joke.

“Alright, well I better fall asleep too.” Draco responded. As he watched her lay down on her bed and close her eyes. She was soon fast asleep, before he thought on what she mentioned. I think I already have.

His subconscious did a happy dance inside his head as Draco went to fall asleep. Thoughts of the Brunette next to him, filling his head.

☼A Few Weeks Later☼

Draco and Brittany were civilized toward each other, even though Brittany forgot most of what Draco had said to her. She was drugged up and not completely lucid at the time. Harry was becoming more protective than ever. That annoyed Draco to no end, but there was nothing he could do.

One fine day, a week before they all graduated, Brittany had received an owl. It was well known that her mother, a Pure-Blood Auror was beaten and raped by a band of Voldemort's followers. At least that was what everyone thought, even Brittan herself. She began reading it during breakfast, but soon was crying before running out of the Great Hall.

Harry followed after her, and Draco began to seethe. Damn Potty needs to stay away from her. He's acting like he loves her or something. That thought seemed to piss him off the most.

Pansy Parkinson was busy throwing herself all over Draco, he stood up disgusted with her. “I'm going for a walk. Leave me alone Parkinson. Guys I expect you to keep her away from me.” He stated covering up the fact that he was going to see what was going on.

They all nodded, and Draco walked calmly out of the Great Hall. Once the doors closed behind him he took off at a run. I'm not letting him get any closer to her. He decided angrily.

The best way to do that is to tell her you love her. His subconscious taunted.

You know I am getting sick of you telling me that.

Why? Because it's true? I know it is, I am you in a sense. It shot back not missing a beat.

Just shut-up! Draco yelled in his mind. The voice left and he followed the sound of footsteps to the courtyard.

The sight he saw made his heart stop. Brittany was holding onto Harry for dear life, bawling her eyes out. “I can't believe she's dying Harry. She won't even see me bloody graduate.”

Harry sighed. He knew losing a parent was hard; he had dealt with it, even if it had been when he was still a child. “It'll be alright Brittany, I am sure it will.” Harry whispered to her.

At this point Draco had to turn away. He just could not bring himself to interrupt their moment, no matter how much he wanted to. She belonged with Harry he supposed, they were both Gryffindorks, and seemed to fit nicely together. He began walking away slowly. How can I interrupt that? How can I say, `I love you'?

“That's not the only thing. Mom told me who my father was. She knew all along and is finally telling me now, as she is dying in St, Mungo's.” Brittany began to cry harder.

“Well, who is he; he's the only family you have left.” Harry responded kindly.

“The thing is Harry, Tom Riddle was my father. I am the daughter of Voldemort.” Brittany admitted quietly.

Harry immediately jumped back. She's what? “You're what?”

“I am the daughter of Voldemort, and you killed him. I have no family left. All I have is you. You've always been like a brother to me. I do not blame you for killing him Harry, I thank you.” Brittany admitted her tears lessening.

Harry had to step back. This is not happening. He thought desperately. This is all a very bad dream. I am going to wake up to everything being normal. Something inside him told him it was real. “I have some thinking to do Brittany. I am sorry, but you are the daughter of my old enemy. I killed your father. I am not sure what to think. I need to be alone for a while.”

He then ran off the way Draco went. Brittany began crying harder, and sunk to her knees. She really was all alone now; even her brother figure abandoned her in her time of misery. All she wanted was to be held.

Harry quickly caught up with Draco who was still walking slowly. “Malfoy what are you doing here?” He snapped.

Draco glared at Harry. “I was checking to see what had you two so worked up? It seemed like something interesting. All I found was you two love bird holding each other.” Draco hissed back. “Gryffindorks through and through. Have a lover's spat Potty?”

Harry punched him in the stomach out of rage, partly at himself. “Brittany's mother is dying at St. Mungo's, and just told her she knew who her father was. She's Voldemort's daughter. I killed her father, and she's a part of him.”

“So, what is your point? You can't blame her for that!” Draco shot back defending her.

“It's not that. She will now always remind me of him. Well never be close again.” Harry admitted angrily.

“Well then you're a bigger git then I thought Potty.” Draco declared before running back towards Brittany.

“I can't believe it.” Harry whispered amazed. “Draco Malfoy cares about someone other than himself.

Draco was running as fast as he could. This is my chance.

She needs love and support, so you better tell her. Or I will bug you constantly until the day you die. His subconscious threatened.

Piss off, you. Draco snapped back.

Whatever.

Draco arrived back to Brittany sitting in the courtyard bawling her eyes out. It seemed to make his heart clench in pain. He walked over to her quietly. “What's wrong Storm?” He asked concerned.

Brittany looked up and gasped. She stood as fast as she could, and tried to run away from him. Draco caught her arm and pulled her into a tight embrace. She seemed to freeze automatically.

“W-what are y-you doing?” She cried, still surprised at his actions.

“Holding you. Potter told me what happened after hr punched me in my chest.” Draco admitted before he began to run his fingers through her hair.

“Why are you b-being so n-nice?” She asked her tears calming.

How can I tell you `I love you'? How can I say those three little words you need to hear? He wondered.

Simple, you just do. Dumb ass!

Draco mentally rolled his eyes. Easier said than done! He turned his focus back onto Brittany. “Because you need it. You are not like other Gryffindorks, you are actually not a loser like the rest of them.” He admitted. It was the truth, just not the whole truth.

“Oh,” Brittany whispered sadly. What was I thinking, Draco Malfoy, the Slytherin Prince, caring about someone else. Especially me.

Draco realized that he needed to tell her his feelings. She was Voldemort's daughter, his dad would approve of her. The other Slytherins would have to approve. Even if they did not, in one week he'd be graduated and out of Hogwarts.

Brittany began to pull away, but he pulled her back. “Huh?” She asked confused.

“I, I have to tell you something.” He admitted.

“You just did silly.” Brittany tried to force a laugh and a watery smile.

“Well I am going to tell you something better. I know that we are in different houses, but all that will be meaningless in seven days.” Draco paused, having trouble saying what his heart and mind so easily screamed.

“Okay,” Brittany stated slowly, not sure where he was going with this. She hoped her speculation was right, but knew she had to be wrong. He can't be.

“Well I do not know how to say this. It's being screamed inside me, but I can't seem to say it.” Draco admitted pulling her closer leaning towards her face.

Brittany was hyperventilating on the inside. Her heart was beating a thousand miles a second. She had always thought Draco was attractive, but a pompous ass. But the last few weeks he had seemed to change. At first she chalked it up to the head injury, but now she was not so sure.

Draco kept opening and closing his mouth. Damn it all! Why is this so bloody hard? He ranted, trying to tell her how he felt.

Show her if you can't say it just yet. Jeez I wonder how you would ever survive with out me.His subconscious gloated.

Fine. “I can't say it, so I am going to show you.” Draco listened to his inner voice and leaned in. He searched Brittany's chocolate colored eyes for any hint of rejection. Seeing none, he took the plunge and kissed her lightly on the lips, not wanting to scare her off.

Brittany was amazed. Draco Bloody Malfoy was kissing her of all people. He was not snogging her, but kissing her in a loving matter. This made her knees weak, and if it were not for his strong hold on her, she would have collapsed in a heap. She kissed him back

Once he pulled away, Brittany smiled brilliantly at him, and it took his breath away. Her award winning smile was directed at him, not Potter, but him. “I just did not know how to say it.” He admitted

“What? `I love you?' It's not that hard to say. That was what you were going for right?” She asked wanting to be sure.

“Yes, all year I have been falling for you. With you being Voldemort daughter my father will not oppose my loving you. Malfoy's are not supposed to love, but he'll make an exception for you. I guess we will not have to run away together like I figured. I mean, if you feel the same way.” He rambled.

Brittany giggled. “You ramble when you're nervous huh? That's adorable. Of course I feel the same way. I've been attracted to you, but just until your head injury I thought you were an ass.” Brittany admitted.

“I used it as an excuse to my fellow Slytherins so that I could be nicer, and closer to you.” He explained.

“Well, I am glad you fell off you're broom that day. Why did you fall off, that dive should have been easy for you to make.”

He chuckled. “I heard you scream and I got worried. So I looked back to see if you were alright. By the time I turned around, falling off was the only way to save my broom.”

“You're crazy, you lost because you were worried about me.” She told him.

“That is right I am crazy. I am crazy for you. I do not know how to say this any other way but,” he paused holding her to his chest running his hand through her hair, and kissing the crown of her head. “How should I say, `I love you'?”
