Chapter 2

Sorting

 

 

Ally was standing in a line with the first years. She was so nervous. She stuck out the first years. The doors opened.

"Hello I am Professor McGonagall. I will be your transfiguration teacher. Please follow me into the great hall."

They walked into the hall. It was like all the people were staring at Ally. She could feel the boy's stares and the girl's glares.

"Welcome back everyone. I am proud to say that this year we have a new student that has transferred from here from France. I would like everyone to meet Ally Lansky." Dumbledore announced.

The room explored with claps and whistles. Dumbledore walked over to a stool and pulled off the blanket. The sorting hat started to sing...After the singing ended Professor McGonagall started name off names. It seemed like ages until McGonagall came to Ally's name. McGonagall placed the sorting hat of Ally's head. As some as she placed it on her head to started to whisper to itself.

"Where to put you... you are very bright and work hard at school. So maybe Ravenclaw...but yet you have pride and you are brave and loyal to friends. So Griffindor... but you are friendly and could make friends with anyone. So that would put you in Hufflepuff... but you have anger and evil in you...but it is well hidden. So maybe Slytherin. The only question is that where will you shine the most... GRIFFINDOR!"

The Griffindor table exploded with excitement. Ally saw all the boys stand up and clap. Ally walked over to Hermione and sat down next to her. You glanced over at Harry. Ally and Harry's eyes met. Harry smiled at Ally and Ally smiled back. Food started to appear on the tables.

After the feast Harry, Ron, and Hermione showed Ally around the castle. They finally came to the fat lady. They entered the common room.

"Ally the girl's dorm is over here. I am going to bed. See you guys tomorrow." Hermione walked up the stairs.

Ally walked over the couch and sat down. She was tired but she could not sleep. Harry sat down on the couch with Alley and Ron sat in the chair. There was a silence.

"So Ally are you excited to be here at Hogwarts?" Harry broke the silence.

"Yeah I am. I am just a little nervous is all. I think I am going to go to bed. It was been a long day. I will see you guys tomorrow. Goodnight."

Ally into the room. All the other girls where asleep.

"So Harry what do you think of Ally?"

"She is really nice."

"You can't tell me that you don't think she is hott."

"Okay yeah she is. I just don't want to say anything. I want us to at least develop a friendship."

"Whatever you say Harry."

Ron got up and went to bed. Harry stayed and thought about Ally. He loved everything about her. Her blue eyes, Her blonde shoulder length hair, her laugh, her smile, and the way he felt he could be himself around her.

Ally jumped. She had another bad dream. She wiped away her tears. She had been crying in her sleep. She put on her sweatshirt and went to the common room. She jumped she saw Harry sitting on the couch.

"Hey Harry! What are doing up so early?"

"I could ask you the same question."

"I am going for a jog. Would you like to come?"

"Yeah sure. Let me go get a sweatshirt."

Harry and Ally walked out of the castle. Ally started to jog. Harry followed her. They jogged all the way down to the Black Lake. Ally Sat down of the ground. Harry sat down next to her.

"Wow it has been awhile that I have gone on a jog." Harry gasped for air.

"This was fun. I have never had anyone come with me before. It was really nice."

"It was really nice of you to invite me. We should make this a regular thing."

"Yeah that would be great. We should head back thou. I have to shower. I will race you back!"

Ally took off running. Harry jumped up and ran after her. He finally caught up to her. He leaped and tackled her. They both hit the ground laughing. Ally has not had this much fun awhile. What Harry and Ally didn't know that they were being watched. Ron and Hermione were looking out the window at them.
