Chapter 4: To Kings Cross Station
At the Inn:
“Oh God,” Voldina breathed, as her granite eyes locked with the man's beautifully cold, golden stare. “Sesshoumaru…”
“Voldina, dear,” he said, stepping into the room. He wore a pair of baggy, black Jynco Jeans, and a tight, skull-and-crossbones t-shirt under a large, black, leather jacket. He had a hoop in his left ear, his lower lip, and his right nostril.
“Stay away from my cousin,” Dracana growled, standing in front of Voldina, her hands on her hips. Her eyes had returned to their normal crimson, and she was glaring at the intruder.
“Oh, are you going to stop me, woman?” Sesshoumaru scoffed, raising a slender hand to tuck his long, silver hair behind a delicate ear. His pale skin only emphasized the cruelty of his cold, golden stare.
“I'll certainly try,” Dracana said, pulling out her wand. Draconus joined her, pulling out his wand as well.
“We won't let you take her without a fight,” Draconus said, glaring at Sesshoumaru.
“Who said I wanted to take her?” Sesshoumaru asked, smiling. “I just want to talk.”
“Voldina?” Dracana asked, looking at her cousin.
“It's okay,” Voldina replied, her arms wrapped around her torso. “But they stay here.”
“Fine,” Sesshoumaru said, conjuring a chair out of thin air, and plopping it onto the floor. The twins each took a seat on both sides of Voldina, and continued to glare at Sesshoumaru.
“So, what do you want to talk about, Sesshoumaru?” Voldina asked, feeling a bit safer with her cousins sitting on either side of her.
“I want to know why you dumped me and then disappeared,” Sesshoumaru replied, his gaze moving from the angered twins, to the frightened Voldina.
“Because I'm afraid of you,” Voldina whispered, bowing her head in shame.
“I see,” Sesshoumaru said, leaning towards her. “You have nothing to fear from me as long as I am happy with you, which, right now, I am not.”
Voldina flinched.
“What must she do to make you happy?” Dracana asked, placing a hand on her cousin's shoulder.
“She knows,” Sesshoumaru said. “But you two don't need to know.”
“We're her cousins! We deserve to know what she does!” Draconus yelled, indignantly, wrapping his fingers around the hidden blade in his belt.
“No, you don't,” Sesshoumaru said, glaring at Draconus. “And let go of the knife, boy. You can't hurt me with a dagger like that one, hidden in your belt.”
Draconus let his hand fall away from his hip, and slouched, defeated.
That ass! Dracana thought, staring daggers at Sesshoumaru. She vanished, with a slight pop, and Sesshoumaru rolled his eyes, annoyed by her antics, and vanished in a puff of pink smoke. (My friend made me do it! She's evil and she said she would hurt me if I didn't put the puff of pink smoke in! Please don't kill me!)
There was a loud thud in the hallway, just outside the door, as Sesshoumaru pinned Dracana against the wall.
“Nice try, woman,” he said, smiling evilly.
“Obviously not good enough,” Dracana spat. “You're not dead!”
“Not even Voldemort can so much as scratch me! What gives you the idea that you can kill me?” Sesshoumaru asked, chuckling as he stared fearlessly into Dracana's crimson eyes.
“I hate you more than he does,” Dracana said, staring deep into his beautiful golden eyes. “That is what gives me the idea, asshole!”
“You're a fighter, and you aren't scared,” Sesshoumaru said, his eyes moving down her body. “I think I'll let you live.”
“I'd rather be blown into a billion pieces than have your approval!” Dracana growled, gnashing her teeth at him.
“Let my sister go, now!” Draconus roared, pointing his wand at the tall, silver-haired man that was pinning his sister.
“No problem,” Sesshoumaru said, and threw Dracana to the floor. “Voldina, think it over. I suggest you put your cousin into the mix now, too. I shall come to you on the train for your decision.”
With that last statement, Sesshoumaru disapparated. As soon as he was gone, Voldina started to sway; Draconus ran over and caught her as she fainted.
“Voldina! Voldina!” Dracana cried, scrambling over the wooden floor to her cousin.
“Voldina? Are you alright?!” Draconus asked as she regained her consciousness.
“If I don't go out with him again, he'll take Dracana,” Voldina said, shaking. Tears were falling from her cold, granite eyes.
“What do you mean, `take me'?” Dracana asked, holding Voldina's head in her lap.
“I mean he'll kidnap you, and use you to get me, then maybe kill us both!” Voldina cried, sitting up, and staring at her cousin. “He's totally heartless when he's is upset with someone! He ripped out his friends heart for making fun of one of the people in his posse! Right in front of my own two eyes!”
“Calm down, Voldina,” Draconus said, holding his cousin close, glaring at the spot where Sesshoumaru had vanished. “He won't get Dracana. I'll make sure of it.”
Alright……that was a pathetic chapter, I know, and still short, but I'm trying! It's hard to make long chappies when you've got writer's block!
