The Fated Dragon: Chapter 5
You know, when Van agreed to help the goddesses save the Wizarding World from Voldermort in order to meet with Hitomi once again, he did not expect to be dumped into the middle of whatever crappy life he was supposed to have, have a bunch of god-knows how much memories come flooding into his brain like a tidal wave. And he most definitely did not expect to be carried by a man who looked like he was born with a scowl on his face!
`Gods.. Does someone up there hate me or something?' he thought to himself grumpily.
All of a sudden, Harry felt as if all the air in his lungs was being squeezed out of him. Gasping for breath, and driven by a sense of self-preservation instinct, Harry started struggling, determined to get out of whatever that is currently squeezing him.
Unfortunately, that determination was misplaced, and thus did not help his situation a single bit. All it did was to aggravate his wounds further, increasing the amount of blood flow caused by his wounds.
Weakened, both by the amount of strength he had unknowingly exerted and by the amount of blood loss, Harry's mind shut down.

Severus, in the middle of apparating to a seemingly deserted lane in Knockturn alley, struggled to keep a firm hold onto the brat he was carrying.
`Maybe disapparating without any warning hadn't been such a good idea…' Severus thought, but dismissed the idea immediately. Cause hey, nobody has ever accused Severus Snape of being thoughtful to other people's needs before, so there was no reason for him to start now. Especially not on James Potter's son.
In his honest opinion, this brat was extremely lucky that he was even willing to carry him instead of dragging him all the way to `his' place. Not that he was ever going to admit to himself that he actually pitied the boy for having such horrible relatives. Nope, not at all. The thought of actually bringing him to his frie…ally's place to be treated is bad enough. So there's no need to add salt onto the wounds. Nothing at the Dursleys actually happened… Yeah right. As if as the brat was going to keep his mouth shut about what had happened at his relatives house. Not when he heard about his reputation. No God-damned way.
Popping into existence in the middle of a deserted back alley at Knockturn, Severus looked down at the bane of his existence, only to find him unconscious and blissfully unaware of the numerous problems he had caused him, just by existing, nor the fact that the numerous wounds that was littered all around his lithe body had re-opened. All caused by his needless struggling when he was apparating.
Muttering an assortment of curses, swear words and jinxes he knew, all directed at the entire Potter line when he saw the amount and rate of blood flowing out of the boys body, Severus hurried to `his' shop as quickly as he could, knowing and trusting in his healing abilities, at the same time subconsciously praying to all the deities that the kid did not die before he reached there.

Being a Potions Master meant many things; amongst those most commonly known are the wide knowledge of the names, properties and reactions of potions ingredients. But only a handful understood that being a Potions Master also meant having a wide array of knowledge in magical creatures, anatomy and the human body. After all, how could one properly harvest a potion's ingredient if they do not understand when it can be harvested and when it can be harvested to be at its most potent state and how much can be harvested for the amount to just stop short of fatally injuring the creature.
Another reason is because even if potions shop does supply any rare ingredients at all, the quality of the ingredient most definitely would not be as good as an ingredient that you harvested yourself. Some ingredients are so rare that even a Potions Master could have never even heard of it before. So what exactly are the chances that the creature that the ingredient is harvested from is found by someone who knows about it, much less a person who knows how to handle it properly.
In many Dark Potions, human blood or sacrifices are also extremely common ingredients. To successfully brew these types of potions, Severus also had to often estimate the amount of blood a person had and at what rate the person can produce more of it just by judging a person by his or her height, size or even their age. Seeing that failures are just barely if not totally not tolerated among Voldermort's death eaters, Severus quickly learnt how to estimate quickly and accurately during the Dark Lord's first rise.
Using that long untouched skill once again, Severus looked at the boy, and winced. Other than the fact that the boy was loosing too much blood and might just die in the next few minutes, that one glance also told Severus that the Potter brat was also extremely malnourished. Even an idiot would have come to that conclusion; sooner or later, just by seeing his weight. Heck! With the little flesh on his body it's a wonder that he does not look like a human skeleton!

Stepping out of the shadows of the dark alley, distinctly aware that every drop of blood lost, brought the boy in his arms a step closer to the Grim Reaper. Severus hurried towards his shop, hoping he wasn't too late.
Although Severus did bear a deep resentment towards James Potter and his little groupies, like hell was he going to actually let Potter's son die in his arms like that. If not for the fact that Potter's son was the reason he did not spend the rest of his days kissing Voldermort's feet, than for the fact that he owed James Potter a life dept. Since Potter and his wife were killed, the only person that is actually left related to Potter was that brat in his arms. No way was he going to live the rest of his life knowing that he had an unfulfilled life debt to his arch-nemesis…

Uncharacteristically bowling through the door, Severus halted his footsteps just to stop short of colliding with the front desk.
Tilting up his head and straightening his back, Severus stood back up, only to meet with the face of his fri…no…acquaintance, Jason Hartford. Although his face was stoic, but anyone observant enough would be able to see the sparkling mirth present in his eyes.
“Why, why, Severus! Didn't knew you held such fondness for my front desk, seeing as you were positively hurrying to meet it face to face. Want me to mail it to you?” Jason mocked Severus.
Scowling, Severus chose to ignore the snide remark, instead opting to focus on the reason he was here. Afterall, revenge was a dish best served cold. Now where did he keep that hair growth potion…

Thrusting the brat in his arms towards Jason, Severus kept his calm as if there wasn't a bleeding child within his arms.
Looking at the child that was previously carried by Severus, Jason paled. Still with the child in his arms, Jason hurried to the room at the back of his shop, with Severus following closely behind.

Flopping himself onto the couch, both magically and mentally exhausted, totally unlike any Slytherin, Jason turned to glare childishly at Severus.
“You always seem to attract he worst cases, don't you?” Jason muttered, all the while never turning. “First was that Malfoy kid, now Pott-“
“Wait…” Jason's expression suddenly changed. “Why did you become so concerned about that kid anyway. If my memory serves me right, you were the one complaining and ranting about how Potter is going to be entering Hogwarts this year. So why are you so concerned about the kid's well-being? The Malfoy kid I can understand, afterall he is your godson, but Potter?”
“Don't be absurd. Depletion of your magical reserves when healing that brat must have done something to your brain.” Severus sat on the couch opposite him.
“Really.” Scepticism lacing his voice. “So then why did you bring the kid to me when Madame Pomfrey could have just as easily done the job.”
Feeling cornered, and not liking that feeling one bit, Severus accidentally blurted out. “I trust you.”
Jason's eyeballs were on the verge of popping out of his eye sockets when he heard Severus reply. `Trust me? Slytherins don't trust.'
“Severus…” Jason said slowly, at a loss as to how he should approach this situation. “Are you bloody out of your mind?! You trust me?! That the most Griffindorish thing I have ever heard you say! Are you even listening to what you're saying?!”
Hearing his own reply, Severus eyes widened in shock at how…how…Potterish it sounded. It sounded like something Potter would…no…had said. So what in Merlin's name possessed him to say that. God-damnit. Helping Potter must have damaged my brain functions.
Turing around to glare at the only innocent party of this conversation, Severus gave him his best glare, as if it would solve all his problems.

GrayPhoenix- Thanks for reviewing. As for some of your comments, I know that Dumbledore is not the epitome of good and manipulates people, a lot, despite his grandfatherly looks and all that. The only reason why I think that Harry in the canon actually listens to him is because he was neglected as a child. But since in this `life' Harry is a King of a country, things would definitely turn out differently.
As for Snape, well… I'm still deciding what to do with him. With him being a Slytherin and spy, his personality is pretty complex. But I'm leaning more towards a mentor or neutral relationship with Harry.
And about Harry's grandparents, J.K Rowling never really said what happened to them, or any other members of the Potter's family for that matter. So I'll take it that they died during Voldemort's first rise seeing as the Potters are one of the more prominent Light Families.
As for the part about Van's Draconian powers and whether Lily is a goddess, you'll have to wait and see. It wouldn't be fun it I gave out the entire story plot now, would it.
So I hope you readers like this chapter enough to READ AND REVIEW. ^^
And if not, pls review anyway… I would like to know what can be done to improve this story.
