"He did? Oh that's too bad," Claire said as he placed a hand on Tara's shoulder.

"I know... I... I just..."

Tara couldn't control herself and fell into him, clutching to the deep violet shirt he constantly wore. Somehow Claire felt bad for her but that feeling didn't last very long. He wrapped his arms around her shoulders and leaned his head onto hers.

"Don't worry it'll be okay. I know," Claire said as he lifted his head. "Come out with me and I'll make you feel better. Okay?"

Tara looked up at him through tear filled eyes.

"Okay..."

"That's my girl, now come on, I'll help you get ready."

Tara slowly got up and Claire helped her to the bathroom. There she brushed her hair and teeth and then changed her clothes. Then she left with him and they went a movie and sat in the back of the theater. Tara didn't pay much mind to the movie and only looked at the floor. The three men that were with him sat close by and watched with confused faces as Claire leaned over and said something to her. She nodded in reply and they left, followed by the three men. They were wondering what was going on, maybe he was going to do something, but they could not really tell.

"Claire, where are we going?" Tara asked as she looked out the window and saw that she wasn't on her way home.

"Don't worry, this is just a different way to your apartment. There was an accident along the other way," Claire said as he watched Tara lean her head back onto the seat.

"Okay, wake me up when we get there."

Claire nodded and looked out the window. He smiled to himself as the car came to a stop moments later. He got out of the car and picked Tara up and walked into the building. The car drove away and out of sight. In the morning Tara woke feeling a little better but a little confused. She really couldn't remember much of last night. She did remember leaving with Claire but not returning home. Suddenly she heard her clock go off and she turned it off and stood up to open the curtains. As she looked out the window she saw Claire down below talking to a man.She watched for a moment and saw him strike the man in front of him. Down below Tara's window Claire was indeed talking to a man but it wasn't a friendly conversation.

"Do give me that shit I want to know where it is and I want to know now!" Claire yelled.

"I don't know where it is, Mr. Leonelli. I'll find it I promise," Called the man as he tried to back away.

"You had better and if you don't," Claire said as he pulled the man up by his shirt. "I promise that something really bad will happen to you."

"Y-yes, I understand Mr. Leonelli."

Claire let go and turned to go inside. He looked up at Tara's window and saw her standing there for a moment. He walked into the building and headed back upto the apartment.

"Are you feeling better?" He asked as he came into the room.

"I guess. Have you heard from Jane? Is she coming back anytime soon?" Tara asked as she went into the kitchen.

"No, I haven't. But I'm sure she will come back soon."

Claire left a little while later and Tara went back to her room to lay down. She was still saddened by what had happened to Yuoku. But she soon would have another visitor and it would be someone Claire really wouldn't like.

"I'm coming," Tara said as she went to answer the door. "Can I help you?"

"Yes are you Tara?" Asked the man.

"Yes I am."

"My name is Daisuke Aurora and I'm wondering if I could talk to you about someone you might know."

"Sure, uh come in."

Tara let him inside and offered him a drink. After returning from the kitchen she handed him the soda and sat across from him.

"So, what is it that you need to know?" Tara asked.

"Well, this might sound a little odd but do you know a guy by the name of Claire Leonelli?"

"Yeah, he's my bosses boss, if that makes any sense."

"It does."

"What about him?"

"Well..."

A week had passed and Claire hadn't heard from Tara or even seen her at the bar. He went to her apartment but was told that she had moved out and did not leave a fowarding address. Claire didn't like this and sent someone off to track her down. He knew that the last time he had talked to her she did seem a little wary of him. He would find her and get some answers. But not that it would be soon. Tara was safe and as you would say in hidding. She stood by the window and looked down at the street below. She wondered if what Daisuke said was true, was Claire really only messing with her? Well, she would have to find out. But she could do nothing at the moment, as of right now Tara was staying at Daisuke's apartment. Her things were in a storage facility and she was a little worried. What would Claire do if he found out where she was? It wasn't like she was afraid of him, it was just that she didn't want anything to happen to her new friend. Why is it that she always made friends with the most off the wall type of people? She would never know.

"Hey, are you okay?" Daisuke asked as he steppped out onto the balcony.

"Yeah, I'm fine."

"You don't look that way."

"I know, I just haven't been sleeping lately that's all."

"If you want to sleep I can give you something to help."

"Okay."

The two went inside and Daisuke gave Tara something to help her sleep. Over the past few days he had become somewhat attached to her and slowly began to understand why Claire hung around her like he did. But there were more improtant things than that right now. He had to leave to go and investigate a triple murder and then to another part of the city. He knew that Tara would be asleep for awhile and so she would be okay while he was out. As he left he took one last look over at her and then closed the door. Hours later Tara woke to find herself alone in the apartment.

"He must have gone out or something," she said to herself.

So she did what she did when she got bored, she sat on the couch and watched t.v. But nothing seemed to be on tonight. She wanted to leave the house but Daisuke had told her that it was too dangerous for her to go out. But as she thought about it she was hanging out with the most dangerous person in the entire city before this, so it couldn't be that bad out there. She made up her mind and changed her clothes and left the apartment intending on being back before Daisuke. Clouds loomed overhead, a storm was threatening to hit any moment. But Tara seemed unfazed about it and continued to walk down the street towards where all the entertainment was. She caught sight of the casino and wondered if Jane had come back yet. She did owe her a visit.

"Jane you're back!" Tara called as she walked in.

"Where have you been? The Vampire is really mad that you haven't shown up to work," Jane replied as Tara sat down at the bar.

"I know he is."

"Why haven't you been here?"

"I don't know, I've just been busy."

"Please come back, I don't like being by myself. You know, he's had more meetings since you left. I hear them talking about you."

"What does he say?" Tara asked as she watched the door.

"Well, mostly that he'll find you and kill whoever you are with."

"Great, he's become a stalker. Just what I need."

"If you don't mind me asking... were you dating him?"

"No, yeah we went out a couple of times but that was just as friends."

"That's not what he thought."

"I come to recently find that out. Well I had better get going. I'll see you later."

"Okay, be careful."

Tara waved good-by and left, heading for Daisuke's apartment. When she arrived home she was glad that he wasn't there and felt a little tired from the long walk. So she laid down and went back to sleep. About an hour or two later Daisuke returned and saw that she was still asleep, unaware of where she had gone to. At the casino a man reviewing a tape caught site of Tara and sent it strait to Claire, who seemed all too excited to recieve it.

"So she was here?" He asked.

"It seems so."

"Good, then she'll be back. When she does, follow her."

"Yes sir."

Claire sat back in his seat. He had finally found her, well, in a way. Who ever had taken her away would pay dearly for it. You don't mess with things that are his. If you do, you die.
