Hellsing Fan Fiction ❯ Tourniquet ❯ New ( Chapter 1 )

[ X - Adult: No readers under 18. Contains Graphic Adult Themes/Extreme violence. ]

A/N: Hi everybody. I've had this story in mind for a long time. Near every character will appear, (obviously including the usual characters): some Millenium's, some Iscariots… so don't worry, your favourite will surely be somewhere. Minor OC, they will never have the main role, but sometimes I need them. And so far it's ok, but there's a little problem. I need your help to write this story: I don't know much of the Romanian culture or traditions, but if you do, if you have suggestions, please tell me, it'd be helpful for my lack of knowledge. In other words, feedback very appreciated. And another little thing: sometimes I'll use Romanian words ( I think it's cool, it may help the atmosphere of the story, and you can also know a bit of this language!), below you'll find the translations. Enjoy.

“Seras…it's time to wake up. Get up and hurry up, or you'll be late”. The familiar sound of her sister's voice was what woke her every dawn. Then it was her turn to woke her little brother while Florica helped their mother with the poor breakfast. She wasn't the morning type at all, but she knew better than complaining or being whimsical; only the nobles ( and sometimes not even them) could afford that kind of pleasure. Since her father's death, when she was still very young, she had begun working in the harvest-fields with her mother and sister, and that could be her only worry in order to survive. “Da Flo, I'm up”. A little smile displayed on her sleepy features. “Hey little boy…time for you too to wake up.” “I'm not little…and I want to sleep!” “No you can't. You have to go to the old Helena.” “Ne, she will eat me! I want to go with you…” before he could say more she picked him up and carried him out of the little room. He shouldn't be so impatient to go with her, for he would have been out there sooner that he expected. They went into the room they used for the day, where the ate and stayed together after work. It was a small space, simply furnished, but with that personal touch that made it look cosy.
“Bunâ dimineaÅ£a, you two”, a middle aged woman welcomed them, slightly winnowing the child's hair. “Bunâ dimineaÅ£a, mother. Can I help you?” “No, thank you darling. Let's eat our breakfast, we'll need strength for today's work”. A brief after they finished the sun beams began to enlighten the room, signalling that it was time to go. “Seras, take Horea to the old Helena, and then meet us at the field. I have her permission to leave him there during the day.” “ Yes, mother. See you later”. The woman watched her younger daughter and son walk together in the sun light, hand in hand. They were her little angels… But why did she feel so worried, all of a sudden? She couldn't help sensing something in the air, an overwhelming feel of pain that gripped her heart. Something was going to happen.

“Seras…why do I stay at the old Helena's house but I can't see her?” Seras couldn't find a proper answer herself. She only knew that when someone of the village was in need, they went to this Helena to ask for help, and she usually helped them, on one condition: nobody could see her. A halo of mystery wafted on her, and it seemed it would always be like this.
“Look, we're arrived!”, she used the occasion to distract him from further questions, focusing his attention on the view before them. Helena's house was normal, but it had a strange, hardwood door, with a golden, dragon-shaped door knocker. But right before she could touch it, the door opened itself with a light crackle, closing at their entry. “Ehm…se poate?” , she faltered a bit. Nobody answered. “Hello…is there anyone here?” Suddenly a tall figure appeared in the darkness, answering her question. “ Welcome to Domnă Helena's house. I see you've brought the child”.
“Yes, I have, as in accord. Any problems?” “No, not all. Just a comment. Now you can go to your duty young lady, I'll take care of him”. She nodded and was about to exit when a strange female voice vibrated in the room. “Don't go yet, domniÅŸoară. Please, come to me a moment”. “Don't worry domniÅŸoară, she won't harm you. Please, do as she asks. Just open the door behind me and you'll find her”, the servant tried to comfort her, softening his tone and smiling a bit. Seras reached the door, slowly opening it. She found herself in dark room, enlightend only by a few candles. She didn't dare to move. ”Do not fear me, young girl. Come closer to me”. The candles' light flared in the darkness, while she took some steps forward. She could now see a little figure, sitting in a huge chair with water wings. ” Good morning Lady Helena. I'm Seras Victoria and I'm...” “ I know who you are” replied the disquieting figure. ”And I also know you're afraid of me. But as my servant said before, I won't harm you. You're the one to actually see me in a long time, you know?” “Yes I do. It's really an honour for me.” “ You don't have to be so obsequious. I know of your pure nature, and don't doubt of your heart. But I I'll get straight to the point. I want you to listen carefully, understood?” “Yes.” “Good. I'll give you this advice. This evening don't hang back for any reason, if you want to end normally your life. That's all, young Seras. You may go now”. Seras got out, more than baffled. End normally her life? What did Helena mean? However, she never came back home late, she walked with her mother and sister, so there was no problem…right?

The sun was about to set when finished working. It was always tiring, but she managed to bare it thinking that one day things would change. And every time she finished, a smile graced her lips. But today was different. “Bună seara, Seras Victoria!” A boy of her age walked toward her, blond hair and mischievous smile. “Bună seara, Scrödinger. What brings you here?” “I just came here to say hello to my childhood friend, what's wrong with it?” “ Nothing. But what will the others think seeing us like this, at this hour?” “Don't worry, I won't keep you here long. I just have a surprise for you.” “ What kind of surprise?” “ Oh you'll see. Just stay here till I've come back. I've already talked to your mother, so there's no need to worry.” “In this case, that's fine. But are you sure?” “Why Seras, would I ever lie to thee?” “I don't know. See you later, then.” “See you Seras, see you”. A wide smirk crossed his face while he turned away, whistling. It `d have been such a gainful night, thanks to her…

She didn't mean to stay there longer. If he didn't show up in a few minutes, she would have gone home. Then she heard it. Treading of hoofs. Nearer and nearer, louder and louder. They couldn't be very far away. “My God!” She abruptly saw a group of horses getting closer and closer, and she couldn't take it anymore. Seras began to run, dropping her spade in the process. She could think only of one sure place in that moment, the wood in the vicinity. She strained her legs to run faster, like she had never done before, until she couldn't feel her own legs. But they were fast, and they would catch her easily. In the frenzy of her run, she tripped in a root on the ground, and she miserably fell, banging her head. Before she could stand up, she felt a strong grip take a handful of her hair, and since she didn't want to loose it, she stayed still, holding her breath. “Look what we've got here. Our precious loot is trying to escape?” A man with short black her and dangerous amber eyes got down from his horse, tightening his grip on her hair. “I see you're quite a beauty…pity that you're destined to him!” “T-to him? Who is he?” “You'll see later. But thinking of it…my Lord has only told me that you must be untouched. I can always have fun with you in other ways, right guys?” He maniacally laughed with his companions behind him. “Now, what part of you should I begin with?” He painfully squeezed one of her breasts, leaving a moist trail of kisses down her chest, making her flinch in disgust. “Please, stop!” “Oh honey, why should I? You're so tender and I bet you also taste wonderful down there!” He lifted her long skirt, spreading her legs and feeling her tights with his dirty hands. “I told you to stop!” she cried desperately, trying not to cry. “Shut up you little slut, `cause I'll do as I fuckin' want!” His hands went to her pants. She was going to be raped and was completely helpless…
“Take your grubby hands off of her, Jan. She isn't yours.” “Come on Pip, you're always so fair. Ah, I see why you're here…but don't worry, there's plenty of fun also for you, just loosen up a bit! She will eagerly satisfy both of us!” “Stop telling crap. with And you shouldn't talk that way in front of a lady. You've captured her, but now she will come me. Release her.” “Bad, bad Pip…trying to have her all for yourself? I've never thought you were that selfish…” “I've said release her. Now.” “Hey, keep your shirt on boy…she's here.” He roughly tossed her on the ground, despising what he couldn't have. “I hope you'll have fun with this bitch!” He walked away, glancing for the last time at her, and showing her a remarkable thing. “His teeth…look at his teeth!” “Calm down girl. His teeth have nothing of strange.” “But…they were sharp! They were spiky! I've seen them!” “You must be still shocked for what that bastard tried to do. It's only your imagination. By the way, since I don't want to keep calling you `girl' all the time, may I know your name, chèri?” “Mă cheamă Seras Victoria. And you?” ”My name is Pip. Pip Bernadette. Well, I'm afraid that know you'll have to come with me. I'm sorry, but it's not my choice. I have orders and I have to obey my Sir.” “I haven't choice either. I will come with you”.

It was almost an hour that they were riding. Or better, it was almost an hour that she was sitting behind that Pip man with her generous chest pressed very close to him. Only God knew why she had to have so large breasts. She betted he was enjoying the sensations to have them on his back. However, that was her smallest problem. Where were they going? Who was this Sir she was destined to? It was a nightmare, it had to be. Within moments she would wake up and realize that it was just a dream. What did she do to deserve this fate? She didn't even have time to do bad things… “Seras?” His voice made her snap out from her musings. “Yes?” “We're almost arrived. And I can tell you must be rather uncomfortable, having been here for quite a long time, so I wanted to ask you how are you.” “I'm alright…more or less.” “Good. Prepare yourself for the view, we can catch sight of the castle now!” Seras looked over his shoulder, and she could tell she was going to have an heart attack: corpses. A mass of corpses. Everywhere. Men, women, children. Endless lines of impaled corpses in front of that castle. She wanted to scream. An awful smell reached her nostrils. The honey garlic smell of rot. And now they were riding across that nauseating wood. She could hear their aching moans. They moaned, while the pale ran through their organs, from arse to mouth, without damaging the vital organs, extending their agony. Millions of eyes seemed to stare at her, vitreous eyes that seemed trying to scream their pain. Blood flowed down their bodies, staining their once fair skin, staining the ground, staining the air. Crimson rivers wet the soil, a bliss indeed to the Walachia's voivoda. A suffocating smell permeated by now the air, the pleasant stench that someone liked to inhale full-throated. That was hell, she was sure. They arrived at the huge main entrance of the caste, two guards to the sides welcomed them. “Pip, I see you've brought the new one! Good, our Lord is impatient to look over her! Go in.” “Thank you.” “Pip…where are you taking me?” “I'm taking you to my Lord. If he likes you, he will take you as his...concubine.” “You're saying I will become his slave?! This is madness! I don't want to! And what if your dear Sir doesn't like me?” “Well…you saw the men out there, didn't you?” She was speechless. Only a monster could do this! She felt dizzy, her head spinning. What would be of her? “No…let me go!” “I'm sorry, it's too late. There, I will take you to him.” His eyes revealed his regret, but his look remained firm. He did feel pity for that poor girl. She surely didn't deserve that fate, and neither did the other girls his Sir had fun with. But he had orders, and he couldn't allow himself to break, unless he desired a slow and painful death. They crossed the dull entrance hall and a long corridor, and finally they reached their, or better her, destination. About 30 girls was standing in the room, as if waiting for something to happen. But they stayed still and quiet, not daring to speak. “Go and get in line with them. My job is finished. Either that you survive or not, goodbye Seras.” “Goodbye Pip”, she whispered, almost undetectable. She wasn't ready to die…

“Ladies, please pay attention to me. I'm Walter, the counselor of Lord Vlad. He will be her within moments, therefore I really suggest you to keep still here”. A collected man came towards them. “And I also recommend you to be quiet during his inspection. Only few of you will be chosen; to be truthful he usually chooses only 4 or 5 at a time. God bless you!” he then exited, closing the door with a last quick look at the shaking girls. His Lord could be so cruel sometimes. Anyway, if Walter was peaceful, Seras was certainly not. She looked around her: all of them were terrified, at least. Some of them were praying, begging God to be sent to paradise, on or two were just staring at the floor, others were nervously eating their nails in the wait of their destiny. And then he appeared. A tall, dark figure approached them, madly grinning at their fear. He was slim and lean, but what draw the attention were his hellish eyes: flame red eyes that seemed to destroy and devour your very being at the first glance, scaring and intimidating. “Noapte bună, my ladies. I was looking forward to see you. You really made my...night.” His sadistic grin became even larger. He was indeed fascinating, but Seras wasn't fooled by his velvet voice. He was evil. “ But now, let's brass tacks. You, for example, with that pitiful look. Why are you eating your nails? Maybe they are a better view than me?” “N-no Sir. I was just nervous…” “Nervous? Never show the enemy your weakness, or you'll become a toy in his hands! Impaled.” A bunch of his men that were unnoticed in the corner of room moved forward the confused girl, who was now not so confused about her lot. They grasp her and took her away, while she begged them to let her go, but they turn a deaf ear at her screams. “Now, now my precious ladies. Who will be the next? You! Yes, I'm speaking with you coward, there's no point in hiding! You can't escape from me.” He grasped her hair, raising her from the ground, his grip tight and firm. “Please…you're hurting me! Stop please!” “Your cries are music for my ears. Go along!” Seras was astonished. How could he be so heartless? She couldn't take it anymore. “You monster! Let her go immediately!” If earlier the room seemed quiet, now one could tell it was deadly quiet. Everyone looked at her as if she had gone nuts. He turned slowly, some of wisps of hair hiding his narrow face. “Girl. Are you so foolish to risk your life so easily or are you just playing knight in shining armour?” “Neither of them! I've never more clear-headed! Let her be! You have no right treat us like dirt just because you think you are mighty and powerful! And if someone is playing, that's not me; you're the one who's playing God!” “If you think I'm playing, then you've never been to a Turkish court. There the sultan is highly respected and honoured, and anyone can die only with a gesture of his. You cannot imagine how absolute is his power. By the way, do you know the consequences of your action?” “I do know what I risk. But I prefer to die coherently to my ideas that submit to a tyrant like you. That girl did nothing wrong. Punish me instead of her, she's innocent”. He stayed still for a moment, gazing at her. Then he burst out laughing. His dark laugh vibrated through the room, making their soul shudder. “I see you have very strong morals. You're a pure being, but you do a have temper! I can see that into your eyes...don't look at me that way, you'll see, we'll soon become very close friends!” “I don't want to be your friend, let alone being close to you! Just leave us be!” “If you don't want to, then I'll find my way to persuade you. There's always a way to tame little foals, and believe me, I've very persuasive. Guards, take her to the concubine rooms. The others, half beheaded, half impaled. And tomorrow I'll have my lunch with a good tasty company!” He maniacally laughed again, his eyes sparkling with joy at the thought of the lavish meal. “No! You can't do this! Let them go! They did nothing! Let them go! Monster!” “Shut her up, she's starting to annoy me with her pathetic whims.” And so did the guards, making her lose knowledge with a ship-shape punk, while the crowd of girls shivered, foreseeing their end.
