Silently and glaring at each other, Shindoh and Touya settled themselves on the bus without a word uttered to each other throughout the journey back home. Shindoh went back to the task of sleeping while Touya kept apologizing to everyone on their childish behavior.

Chapter 3- Rematch!
The Korean third board sat in his uncle Go salon waiting for Shindoh Hikaru to appear for their rematch. Five minutes later, a breathless figure rushes into the Go salon panting for breath.
"Sorry...I'm late!" Shindoh Hikaru paused for breath, grateful for the glass of water provided by Soo-Hon uncle; before continuing "I got lost around the area, it's been quite some time since I'd stepped in here."
The times passes by as the two players played their second unofficial match, half-way through the game Shindoh caught sight of the Kaio Jr.High Go club sensei watching their play. Smiling inwardly, he had a feeling that this game is going to be recorded down and handed over to Touya Akira. Concentrating more on the game itself, he tried to avoid as many mistakes as possible. Somehow, he didn't appreciate the fact of having Touya Akira breathing down on him this week.
Meanwhile the Korean third board blinked twice as he stared at the board in disbelief, with a sigh he said "I resign"
Soo-Hon couldn't believe it, he'd lose once again to Shindoh Hikaru. The last time had been when Shindoh was merely an insei and that was just about a year or so before. However, inwardly he winced knowing for the fact that Shindoh was indeed stronger than him. After all, Shindoh Hikaru had played first board during the Japan-Korea game; although he had lost to Ko yeongha. But the fact remains that Shindoh Hikaru only lost by half a moku, and he himself had not win against the Korean first board Ko yeongha ever and yet Shindoh Hikaru had come so close to defeating the said person. Shaking his head as he looked over the game, he said "Thanks for the game" and made his way over to his uncle while Shindoh Hikaru chatted with Yun-sensei about the game.
"So how's the game, Soo-Hon?" his uncle had asked.
"Lose by three moku this time round, and my strength had increased. It just proved to say that he's a better player than me. No regrets this time round." Soo-Hon answered with a smile.
Times passes by in a flash, it has been two weeks since his game with Soo-Hon who's now back in Korea. Shindoh Hikaru was absolutely dreading every minute, every second of the day. He groaned yet again as his mother reminded him to visit his grandfather every fortnight before leaving his apartment. Ever since the incident which happened two weeks ago right after his match with Soo-Hon, he'd finally made the decision of moving out from his parents house and starts living alone.
*Two weeks ago...
"I'm home!" Shindoh Hikaru called out to his parents, the house was eerily silence. Suddenly, footsteps were heard thundering towards him; the next moment a flash of pink flew by and attached himself to Hikaru.
"Hikaru-Chan! You're back!" The hyperactive boy exclaimed.
"Huh?" Hikaru took a moment to stare at the figure in pink, his eyes flickered to his mother who's been hiding in the kitchen seeking refuge. His mind then registered "Pink hair, leather jacket...Rock star, Bad Luck...Cousin, Shindoh Shuichi!"
"Hi Shuichi, enjoy your stay here..." Shindoh Hikaru tried to keep his voice as smooth as possible. Bypassing his hyperactive cousin, he headed towards the kitchen and address his mother in private.
"Mom, care to tell me something about that...." Hikaru tried to keep himself from blowing up, he fixed his mother with his famous game face instead of the cheerful face which his mother is most familiar with.
"Hikaru, your father had been channeled to the head office in America for six months as his company is undergoing restructuring. Since your career is here, it would be impossible to take you with us. I'm joining your father and I am leaving grandfather in your care. Please visit him regularly, and to put it simply... your cousin here had a tiff with Yuki Eiri and refused to go back." Mrs. Shindoh started.
"So... are you telling me he'll be staying here?" Hikaru stared at his mother intently as he watch his mother reaction. Sensing his mother obvious discomfort, Shindoh Hikaru came to the decision of moving out. He had obviously thought about it for quite some time already, his cousin appearance is obviously the last straw since he can never stand his cousin behavior. The moment he made his decision, he had went upstairs into his room and tried to block out his cousin's movements around the house.
However, it had proven to be useless and his cousin had went on to whine to him about his boyfriend unforgivable behavior without giving him any peace. The worst had yet to come, his cousin had drone on all the while until eleven p.m. when the other member of Bad Luck had arrived at the doorstep. By then, Hikaru had already threw some clothes into the overnight duffle bag which he'd used earlier on for the Hokuto Cup. He caught his cousin team mates and best friend Hiroshi by the washroom and asked for a copy of his cousin schedule for the month. After which, he practically grabbed his key, duffle bag and his seldom used cellphone by the desk in his room and proceeding to storm out of the house without a glance. He did not even bother with his school supplies knowing that he'd a game the following day and thus not requiring to show up for lessons.
Outside his house, he stared at his overnight supplies and his cellphone not knowing what to do. He couldn't possibly stayed at Akari's since her parents' not home for the week. He briefly considered the options he had, Waya probably will take him in if he asked but Waya's apartment was small and couldn't possibly fit two person. Isumi had a fairly average size apartment but it was already late and knowing Isumi, he's either already retired for the night or that he's having Waya over for company. He shudders to think what he'll see if he walked in on them. Yashiro was back in Kansai and can't take him in thus it left him with two options, first one being his grandfather house or he can go to Touya Akira house.
He weigh his options fairly, his grandfather is old and probably already preparing for bed. He looked at the time and thought it took him nearly three hours to travel over to his grandfather since it's located across town. With a sigh, he decided to impose on Touya Akira since it's a nearer option. After all, compared to his grandfather... Touya Akira just lived in the next neighborhood. The only bad thing is probably his parent's presence and he would have to provide a reason for his overnight stay.
Touya Akira was stunned by Shindoh Hikaru's sudden arrival at his doorstep, since Shindoh Hikaru had never made an attempt to visit him without any warning beforehand. Shindoh Hikaru also tried his best to avoid coming over when his parents were home, so he had been shocked when Shindoh Hikaru shown up at his doorstep at 11.45p.m. two weeks ago.
[flashback- two weeks ago at Touya's residence]
Touya Akira was just showing some of the Go Pro from his father's study group out of the door when he caught sight of a familiar figure heading towards his house. Taking a closer look he realised that it was Shindoh Hikaru, his all time rival.
"Shindoh, what are you doing here at this late of time?" Touya Akira had asked.
Shindoh Hikaru appeared to be embarrassed at being caught red-handed, noticing that he's making Shindoh uncomfortable. Touya Akira had invited Shindoh into the house, just as Touya Akiko, Akira's mother was serving Shindoh a cup of tea. Shindoh Hikaru had stated his reason for coming over, Touya Akira had almost dropped his cup of tea in shock.
"So why are you visiting us so late?" Touya Akira had asked Shindoh Hikaru the moment Shindoh sat on the couch. Shindoh gulped as he noticed Touya Kouyo and Touya Akiko presence, but braced himself as he stated his reason for coming over.
"Well, I was hoping that I could stay over for the night..." He had said sheepishly then.
"Stay over?" Akira echoed, still in shock. Whereas Touya Kouyo just looked stern while Touya Akiko asked tentatively "Shindoh-kun, are you sure it's wise for you to stay over? I mean, how would your parents reacts? Are they aware of your absence from home?"
"Well, I am sure that staying over here would actually be better than staying at home at this point of time... My parents was already asleep when I left, so it's fine. They might not be aware of my absence now but I'm sure this is not a surprise for them since this is not the first time..." Hikaru chose his words carefully but was cut off in the middle of sentence by Akira's statement.
"Shindoh... don't tell me you run away from home..." Akira narrowed his eyes as he stare at Hikaru which caused Hikaru to answered back "Of course not! I did not run away from home, staying away is what I'm trying to do now."
"May I asked of the reason for your staying away from home at this late hours?" Touya Kouyo finally interjected before any argument take place under his roof, he'd after all been notify of his son and Shindoh's childish argument by Ogata earlier on.
Hikaru felt embarrassed but managed to explain the reason to them, it was him who is asking for a favor from Touya Kouyo.
"Well, I'm trying to stay away from my cousin who's staying over at my house for an unknown period. Let's just say that I don't get along with him but I can deal with that. What I can't deal with is the idea of him creating noise pollution all day long, he's a rock star so his music can be quite an earful. But that's not just it, he just had friends over at 11p.m. when I finally stormed out of the house. He is loud and hyperactive, ever since this afternoon when I got home I was harrassed by him and his antics. First, before I even stepped into my house... I was tackled off-balanced by him as he automatically attached himself to me. Next, he almost used my kifus for music composing luckily I was quick enough to snatch it from him before he did more damage to it. Afterwhich, he constantly whine to me about some unforgivable behavior of his friend all over the issue of chewing gum. Then he proceed to corner me in the washroom, I had to literally dragged him out of the bathroom and shut the door with several latches before I can bath in peace. Finally, he had to call in his band members and tried to compose music for their next album at 11p.m. That is my last straw, I even wonder how my parents managed to sleep through all that havoc happening around in the house!" Shindoh Hikaru took a deep breath as he finishes off his tale leaving out the fact that his cousin stayed over because of a tiff with his boyfriend.
"Well..." Touya Akira looked over at Touya Kouyo for permission, since his father had to be the one to agree.
"Fine then, I suppose it's fine. But you'll have to share a room with Akira, we don't have any guest room." Touya Kouyo said as he made his way into his room to retire for the day. Touya Akiko had already retired earlier on, leaving Akira and Shindoh alone to settle their sleeping arrangement. After the futon had been lay out for Shindoh's use, the latter had literally fall asleep the moment his head hit the pillow.
A smile tug at Akira's mouth as he remember how cute Shindoh had looked that day as he currently stood outside Shindoh Hikaru's new apartment.
