The Encounters

Disclaimer2: My stories don't follow the actual timeline and events of the original DB/Z/GT story. There is no way this could have happened in their timeline. I have four created people in which I have two other short fics that explain them.

Later that night, most of the group stayed at an apartment complex in downtown. That is except for Vegeta. Though he hadn't said much since he found out about what happened. Vegeta never being the emotional one of the group kind of just sat there on top of the apartment complex in a lawn chair drinking a beer and just staring at the sky. He looked up at the sky and saw what looked like a large neon orange blanket covering the sky from horizon to horizon.

"What the hell is that"? Vegeta said to himself.

"It's a cybernetic heat shield, a force field if you will" A voice said from behind Vegeta. He looked behind him and saw Jet.

"A force field"? Vegeta said a little confused.

"Yeah, it keeps the fallen out there away from the living, It was originally used as defense systems for foreign attacks but now its our only protection from them" Jet said as he grabbed another lawn chair and sat next to Vegeta.

"I see, shouldn't you be sleeping with the rest" Vegeta said.

"Shouldn't you"? Jet said.

"I don't sleep much" Vegeta said.

"Well then neither does I" Jet said.

"So what's up with your arm"? Vegeta asked taking another sip of his beer.

"Got blown off" Jet said.

"That's half the story" Vegeta said.

"How so"? Jet asked.

"I asked what was up with your arm, you said it got blown off, but you still haven't told me how you ended up getting the robotic one" Vegeta said turning his head to Jet.

"Heh, me being the mechanical genius that I am built a new one and had a professional install it" Jet said. The two started to chuckle a little bit but them stopped.

"So, how did you get here"? Vegeta asked.

"I had a ship that crash landed in the ocean because some of the fallen got on board and overtook the ship. I'm the only one who got away. I managed to swim till I made it to shore and found this place. They immediately needed me for my mechanical skills, and that's about it" Jet explained"

"So I see" Vegeta said.

Meanwhile a few blocks away.

Lulu was at a bar sipping some lager at the bar. Like she always did. And like always Lulu was being stared down by some of the people at the bar. Until she was approached. It was a man wearing blue denim jeans and a white wife beater tank top. He had brown hair and eyes and a muscular build. You could tell he lifted weights. He wore leather gloves and a leather vest. Looked a lot like a biker.

"What do you want" she said in her usual dead voice.

"Well happen to see you her alone so I figured I'd keep ya company" he said in his usual cocky attitude.

She stared at him noticing he was looking at her in the eyes instead of her breasts which had became a habit of a lot of men.

"What is your name" She said looking into his eyes.

"Name's Shadow Fox, Friends call me Fox" He said smirking at her.

She stared into his eyes and almost looked like he was looking into his soul. She felt like she could trust this Fox. "Sure" She said looking at him a little curiously.

"Bartender, Two shots of Amaretto 151" Fox yelled.

"I hate to break it to you but I don't drink heavy liquor" She said as the drinks arrived.

"You do now" he said as he pushed the shot glass over to her.

She just looked at the amber colored drink.

"Please, do it for me" Fox said.

She looked at the drink. Then looked at him. "Just one" she said.

"Then a toast maybe"? Fox said.

"To lost friends" She said raising her shot glass up.

"And to new ones as well" Fox said before he gulped down his drink. Lulu followed his lead and gulped hers down too. She sat there for a second as she felt the strong liquor pass through her throat.

"Addicting isn't it" Fox said staring at her.

"No but one more shouldn't hurt" Lulu said.

"Bartender another round" he said raising his hand but not taking his eyes off Lulu.

An hour and seventeen rounds later.

"I must have you know that I have to go home. It's too late" Lulu said rocking back and forth in the barstool.

"One more drink then" He said raising his hand for another round of Amaretto 151, but again not taking his eyes of Lulu. She had thought it was strange. But never paid any serious attention. She then received her drink but before she drank it Fox halted her.

"One more toast" He said raising his glass.

"Alright, to the man wasting his money on drinks" She said raising her glass.

"To the woman who made my night more interesting" He said as his glass and Lulu's glass collided and they both drank their drinks quickly.

She then tried to get up only to fall backwards clearly feeling the effects of the alcohol.

"She going to be alright" The bartender said.

"Yeah I got her" Fox said picking her up and putting one of her arms around him and proceeded to help her home. As they went to the apartment complex Lulu showed little effort to move. As if she could. She had to of passed out three or four times on the three block trip home. When they reached the apartment he saw two people on the roof of the apartment complex.

"HEY" he yelled up to the top of the 4 story building as loud as he could. Vegeta looked down and saw that Lulu was passed out on the step.

"Hey Jet, look at this" Vegeta said chuckling to himself. Jet got up and looked down. He laughed a little bit.

"Hah, well I'll be damned" Jet said.

"Better go get her" Vegeta said.

"You go get her" Jet said. Vegeta just stared. "Fine I'll get her" Jet said walking down the steps.
