Apparently not many people liked my last chapter… though I cant blame them…. I didn’t like how a lot of the parts came out… and I got yelled at for stealing Ki-Yasha but only because I didn’t give her the right color eyes… she actually has … umm I think its aqua…I swear I have short term memory loss… I should really change the title of this story originally this was going to be a Kag/Inu story, well that was before I decided I hated that pairing, any way originally it was going to be about people looking at Kagome and always seeing Kikyou until she met Inuyasha… but wow it took a completely different turn

…Any way I don’t own them

Telepathy:

Chapter 8

The sky darkened as the moon made an attempt at over powering the sun. The result was a beautiful array of a picture perfect scene with splashes of pinks oranges blues and purples as the moon finally concord the sun laying at bay till morning came and the moon would in turn be concord. Neither could coexist with each other nor could they exist without each other like good and evil one must always be present if the other is. It was the balance of nature. And that’s what she was… a balance of nature, the sun, the good in the evil, a dimly lit candle on the moonless night, a flicker of hope for all humanity on and otherwise dismal path of faith led by the Gods. But just like all other beings she had a darker side… the moon, a horrid shadow of ones past always lingering in the confines of ones mind patiently awaiting for remembrance…

She fingered the small pink marble, known to most as the Shikon no Tama , but to her it was the cause of all suffering that her friends were going through, not to mention the countless others, demons, humans, and Half demons alike, who were being pulled in to the schemes of Naraku. As the double crescent moons rose, casting an eerie light on the court yard, Kagome felt a tug a her scenes. It was Naraku’s disgustingly evil aura, it surrounded her like a wave crashing to the shore and devouring the seashells raking them in to there seemingly innocent depths. She mentally laughed at the thought Naraku of being innocent. In a flash of light Kagome was gone out of the court yard and in the surrounding forest. She wouldn’t be able to do that all the way to Naraku’s fortress for she didn’t know the precise location of his ware a bouts. Observing the area around her she turned to her left and let a small smile grace her lips. A rustling in the bushes revealed a small dragon demon. His sleek and shiny scales were black with a violet tint to them, his leathery wings were the same way, his eyes were a piercing yellow. There were spikes that traveled down his spine, though they weren’t up so that indicated that Kagome was a friend. For if she was a foe they would be up threateningly. Kuro was a shadow dragon and easily slipped in and out of the shadows ending up anywhere he wanted to. In this small form he didn’t seem very threatening, but in his true for he was about 36 feet tall and 10 feet wide. Kuro was one of the younger dragons so he wasn’t so large. A dragon demons senses were some of the strongest and most sensitive, and he could easily senses Naraku even if his aura was aimed only at Kagome.

<Lady Kagome, ‘tis good to see you. I suppose you are going to fight that pitiful excuse of a demon.> Came Kuro’s masculine voice, with a slight hiss. She nodded to confirm his suspicions. <Our clan has noticed his rise in power as of late.> He looked her up and down and with a smirk, which made him look very deadly, if not a bit strange. <It seems you’ve had your own… rise in power. But enough of that, I am here to get you to your destination faster. For he resides very far north of here and your energy shall be drained before you even get there.>

~I thank you and your clan for your help.~ She bowed and watched as the surrounding shadows wrapped themselves around Kuro and in the next moment a much larger version of Kuro stood there. Kagome disappeared and reappeared on his back. His massive wings began to flap, as he took to the sky causing some of the trees to bend but never to break. As he got higher the trees began to groan as they were flung into there normal position. The dragon move swiftly with speed that made Kagome slightly jealous.

He would have traveled through the shadows to reach their destination, but there was a high risk of Kagome getting lost within them. Though Kagome had been in the shadows before, she had never been lost in them. Kuro had once told her that the shadows were filled with evil beings who feasted on those who didn’t belong. There were only two types of the shadow beasts one feasted on the body while the other feasted on the soul. These shadow beasts had once run rampant around Japan. But the shadow beasts were said to have locked within the realm of the shadows by a very powerful priestess. And shadow demons, no matter the type, were said to be the guardians of the shadow beasts.

She laughed bitterly at herself. ‘ A guardian, that’s all I am… and that’s all I’ll ever be.’ She felt like crying, she knew it was selfish to want to be free of the burden the gods had blessed upon her, but she was just a teen age girl after all. She felt Kuro enter her mind she didn’t stop him as his voice began to echo in her head. <There is something bothering you.>

~…a guardian… that’s all I’ll ever be… to everyone…~ He was stunned in to silence for a moment but became slightly angered at her words.

<How can you say that… what about your friends… are you telling me that they see you as nothing more than a guardian?>

~… I wouldn’t blame them… what I’m guarding has caused them so much… pain….~

<Your not giving them enough credit, if Amamizu wasn’t your friend do you think that she would stay, I know she has a debit to pay off but its been paid off ten times over. And Miroku has known about your burden since he could understand what it meant. And->

~Okay… I get your point… I was being selfish. It’s just… I...I.. want to be normal… I wish I could be like Kikyou… guys trying to woo me… or vise versa …everyone is meant to be with someone…but not me… I just want to… love… to be loved…~ Kuro now felt slightly guilty for yelling at her, she just wanted to be normal, which was an impossibility with the burden she carried. He was rendered speechless once again as he felt her aura being laced with sadness. He was about to apologize when she spoke up. ~Damn him… he’s toying with my emotions.~ She senesced confusion lacing Kuro’s aura. ~Naraku must have found a way to intensify my emotions. He’s picking at the ones that will make me weakest while fighting him. We must not be able to tell because he’s Kanna’s mirror, which has no aura so there’s nothing to feel, to somehow poke and prod at my emotions. And if I do place a barrier around us, that would shield us from him I would be using to much energy.~

<How do you think she’s tracking you?>

~… by my aura… Kuro please don’t freak…~ He agreed an felt as her aura shift drastically from pure miko to pure miko demoness. To be precise she felt like a kitsune.

Kagome sighed as she released her concealment spell and allowed her black hair to become a light lavender color that shimmered platinum, her ears moved to the top of her head and became black and covered in fur. Her eyes became an ice blue but they were still able to hold there warmth, around the rim of her eyes and pupil was a thin line of black. Her tail bone stretched and became a silky black tail with the light lavender tip. Teeth became fangs and nails claws.

<… and yet you still retain your purity…> He said in amazed awe, for it was a strange rarity for a miko to become a demon and still retain her purity. And the only pure demons he had ever encountered or heard of were angel demons and they were about as rare as the blue moon in Makai.

----------With the others-------

She stormed through the hallways, her violet hair billowing out behind her like a flag caught in the wind. She came to a set of double doors, the design on them was elegantly carved in to a picture of a large dog. She pushed them open with a fair amount of force. Sitting comfortably behind a desk was Sesshomaru. His face was a bit deformed as he tried to glare and smirk at the same time. “Please try not to throw my door off its hinges.” Amamizu just growled irritably.

“You knew, you knew that Kagome was… a demon” he lost the glare and began to just smirk. He folded his hands and shrugged his shoulders.

“Perhaps, but why is that any concern of yours” she growled she was determined to get answers from him. He sighed feeling a big headache coming on, “let me put this simply, The… institute that Kagome was sent to wasn’t a normal institute. It was made for those with… abnormal power, weather it be spirit energy or miko or demon energy… apparently Kagome’s mother and father were both demons. And once when Kagome was training she broke the seal, that concealed her powers. So I trained her… as well as a few others whom were actually her breed.” Amamizu was surprised she hadn’t expected him to actually say anything. So as of right now she looked like a fish. “ now that I have told you what you want would you mind leaving me so I can have a moments peace?” she nodded and walked out.

She searched for Kagome’s aura but found nothing. Which meant that she had already left to go fight Naraku. She silently prayed for Kagome’s safe return.

---------Kagome and Kuro-------------

Kuro landed in a dead and desolate area, devoted of anything but life. Kagome ,in a scene, bottled her demon blood. Concealing it and making seem as though it was never there. “Kuro be ready and waiting when I get out, and make sure Naraku doesn’t feel you.” he nodded and she began walking toward the illusion castle. The castle it self was an essence of Naraku, it even held his aura, meaning that Naraku could manipulate the halls. Which meant she could be walking for hours at the mercy of the despicable half demon. As soon as she stepped in the walls morphed to become a single hallway. At the end of the hallway was a large screen door were the aura was centered and the strongest. Naraku apparently thought very lowly of Kagome and her ability to beat him, if he was allowing her to just walk up to him. But than again it could be a trap…
