Disclaimer – I do not own Dragon Ball Z or Inuyasha. If I did then I would make another series but I don’t so I just have to deal with being able to write a story. Anyway this is funner than watching T.V. or at least that is what I think. On to the next chapter......Enjoy!
Review:
Kagome waited til Vegeta left the room to sit back on the bed. She sat up in her meditation position and closed her eyes. She knew that she would be able to heal herself faster in a deep meditation. Kagome could feel everyone’s ki signature and she could also Buu’s ki. It seemed that he had gotten stronger since the last time she fought him. Taking a deep breathe she started her meditation.
(~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~)
Vegeta walked out of her room and felt her move around into a meditation position. He smiled at the thought that his mate was even more stubborn that him. Shaking his head he headed to the kitchen to get something to eat.
He could hear the others in there speaking about what happened. Vegeta knew only to well that Gogeta got his ass handed to him while he fought that monster. Pushing the thoughts to the back of his mind he walked into the kitchen. Spotting a seat between Scar Face and Kakarot he made his way over to it.
“How is Kagome doing?” Shippou asked Vegeta as Vegeta took a seat in front of him.
Vegeta met the kits gaze. “She is resting.” His attention went to the plate that Mr. Popo set in front of him. Suddenly he realized how hungry he was.
Shippou watched as the sayain prince kept his answer short. “They why is her ki slowly rising then receding?” Shippou questioned. He wanted to see if this male was good enough for his mother.
Vegeta had just taken a bit. After he chewed and swallowed his food his raised his eye level with the Kitsune Demon in front of him. “She is resting the way she sees fit.” With that he went back to his food. Completely ignoring the kitsune who was giving him a shocked look.
Shippou just shook his head and continued eating. He could feel the stares and questions however he was not in the mood to speak. Finishing up his meal he placed his dishes in the sink and headed towards Kagomes ki signature. The others stayed there watching as Shippou stood up and headed out the dining room.
Goku looked over at Vegeta. “What’s wrong with him?”
Dende cleared his throat to get their attention. “Shippou is worried about Kagome because if you all are unable to rid the world of Buu she will.”
“How?” Krillin asked.
“The same way she rid of Naraku.”
Vegeta had been eating until he heard that Kagome would have to take Buu out if none of them were able. His eyes looked up at the young namik. Vegeta could tell in Dende’s eyes just how she was meant to defeat the monster. Snarling he pushed away from the table and stalked out of the room.
The others just looked at Dende with wide surprised eyes. Dende shook his head. “Vegeta knows the out come of the fight if Kagome has to kill him.” With that Dende turned and walked out of the room. He had already told them too much.
>Kagome<
Kagome was in her meditative state when she felt a very upset kitsune heading her way. Sighing she opened her eyes to watch as her door flew open and Shippou stormed in. Once he shut the door he went over to Kagome.
“What the hell are you thinking?” Shippou hissed. “You are not going to sacrifice yourself yet again!” His eyes flashed red with anger.
Kagome hissed in pain as she rose off the bed and stood in front of her son. “You will watch who you speak to like that Shippou. If you hadn’t realized even though I am hurt, I can STILL discipline you as I see fit. I AM YOUR ALPHA!” Kagome warned however Shippou didn’t back down.
“No Kagome, not this time.” Shippou yelled. “You already gave up everything for the damn jewel. I WILL not let you sacrifice yourself for this planet again. Let one of the others do it. I will not lose you again.”
Kagome felt her anger melt away when she heard what Shippou meant behind his words. He didn’t want to lose another mother. His mothers and fathers deaths still weighed heavy on him even to this day. Sitting on the bed Kagome pulled Shippou to her and wrapped her arms around him.
“Shippou,” Kagome started. “I have to do this. If I don’t then the world will annihilate along with everyone living creature on this planet. I can not and will not let this evil monster continue reeking havoc on this world."
Shippou pulled away from Kagome with an angry face. “NO!” He yelled at her. “I wont let you die. I cant lose another set of parents.” He had tears in his eyes.
Kagome sighed. She knew there was no talking to him. “Shippou I understand that you are afraid to lose me however I know that I must do this for the future of the sayains that live here. Goku has been brought back for the last time. He will not get another chance. The others are just not strong enough.” She shook her head as she moved back into bed.
“Momma please.” Shippou pleaded. He sat next to her on the bed.
Kagome shook her head. “If there is any other way then I wont have to but if there isn’t......” Kagome trailed off letting him fill in the blanks.
Shippou wiped his tears and nodded. “Alright get some rest.” He bent and kissed her on the forehead. He then stood and turned to leave. Turning back around he watched as Kagome closed her eyes and fell right to sleep. Sighing he made his way out of her room.
Kagome leaned back on the pillows behind her. She just about dosed off when her door slammed open again. This time however she decided to ignore whoever it was. She was tired and wanted to rest. Kagome could feel the anger in whoever’s aura it was however she kept her eyes closed.
>Vegeta<
Vegeta had opened his mates door and stood at the foot of the bed waiting for her to acknowledge that he was there. However she kept her eyes closed. Snarling he pounced on her. Holding her hands above her head with his legs and body keeping her from moving Vegeta looked into Kagome's now open eyes.
“V-Vegeta?” Kagome stammered her eyes widening in surprise.
“Just what do you think you will be doing?” He spat at her between clenched teeth.
Kagome swallowed as she looked up at her pissed mate. She could feel his worry and hurt through their mate marks however she had to do what she had to. Setting her resolve she looked into Vegeta’s eyes.
“I have to save the world.” She told him bluntly. “If either Goku or you are killed then the world will be in jeopardy. It is my job to keep you both alive.”
Vegeta snarled down at his mate. “I will not allow it.” He bent down to where his face was only an inch from hers. “You are mine and I will not have you putting either yourself or my son in jeopardy. You are the only onna that has ever took me as I am.”
Kagome felt her heart starting to pound in her ears. Had she heard him right? Was she pregnant? Tears glistening in her eyes she looked up at her prince. Raising her head she touched her lips to his. Her mouth was trembling because she knew that no matter what the world was worth more than her life. Finally she broke the kiss and looked directly into his eyes.
“Vegeta......” Kagome licked her lips as she saw an emotion that she knew only to well. “I-I love you, Vegeta but...”
She had watched the strong sayain prince since he first arrived on earth. Kagome had always felt drawn to him and this only proved that she was where she was meant to be. Saving the world now seemed to be important however so was being with her mate.
Vegeta’s heart stopped when he heard those three words. Never in his life had he heard anyone tell him that they loved him with out something to gain. He knew that Kagome had nothing to gain for telling him that she loved him other than she wanted him to return the feelings.
Dipping his head he brought their lips together once again. He let her wrist go and used his arms to bring her closer. Vegeta rolled to the side that way not to hurt her. A rumbling spread through his chest and vibrated all the way through Kagome's body. Vegeta, the prince of sayains, finally knew what love felt like and he wanted more.
Kagome knew that Vegeta would not say the words the she longed to hear but she could tell by his actions. His kisses sent her body on fire as his hand roamed her body. She groaned in frustration when he pulled back. Opening her eyes she looked up into his onyx eyes. There were emotions that swirled around in those depths.
“Veg...”
Vegeta pressed a finger to her lips and shook his head. “Don’t say anything.” He took a breathe then let it out. His eyes locked on hers. “As you know I am not the most emotional man in the world however with you I feel free.”
Kagome eyes glistened with tears of joy. Her heart had been broken when Inuyasha died and now it seems as though she was given a second chance. Ignoring the pain in her body she pressed herself closer and brought her mouth to his. Her kiss ended when he pulled back and grinned.
“I love you onna.” He announced to the world and Kagome.
Kagome’s eyes were widen in shock. She knew she should say something however everything that crossed her mind was not going to work. She let her tail unwrapped from around her waist and wrap around his. His tail did the same. This time when he took her mouth with his it was gentle.
>Shippou<
Shippou’s room was right next to his mothers and he heard everything. Smiling he breathed a sigh of relief. He knew that his mother really needed love in her life. It was not as if his father, Sesshoumaru, and Kagome were ever together as a couple. They were the only ones he knew as his parents. Yes they had tried however the fought more when they were together than when they were just friends.
Rolling on his back he smiled sadly. Goku had told him that Sesshoumaru was now with King Kai training. Shippou didn’t understand the concept of dying however when Goku told him that he had died and came back more than once he was rather surprised that human, demons, or hanyou’s all went to the same place. Heaven if they were good and Hell if they were evil.
Shippou asked Goku to tell Sesshoumaru that Kagome had finally found someone to love her. The sayain said he would relay the message. When Shippou’s mind finally settled down he closed his eyes and let his body rest as well. Not long after his eyes were closed he was off to dream land.

Author Note – Sorry but no lemon in the next chapter either. Kagome does need to heal. I am trying to let the characters grow a little. Yes Vegeta is OOC around Kagome however she IS his mate. I do believe that is an exception. Wouldn’t you agree? Any way the next chapter will be up as soon as I get it written. Til next time...........
