Chapter Two

Bulma's Resolution

After bumbling through English Chi-chi sighed walking out of the class room. She couldn't get that guy out of her mind. Out of all of her friends she was the least boy crazy and for her to nearly fail her assignment was a shocker. By the time she made it to her next class she really wasn't focused. Oh, well, she thought, settling her books on the desk.

"Hello again." Goku said, turning back to face her.

She gasped, unable to believe that he was seated right in front of her. "You! What are you doing here?"

"I'm here to learn-- why else?"

"Are you new here-- cause I never seen you before."

"Yeah... me and my brothers just transferred."

She looked at him, as if interested. "Oh really? Where from?"

"Beresford County."

"Ah ok... I know where that is, it's like, fifty miles from here."

"Yeah--"

Mrs. Kaede smacked the text book down, interrupting their conversation, "Alright enough chit chat. Turn to page 115 in your history books..."

Goku sent an amused look before turning back toward the board. If she thought that last period was bad she obviously didn't know the meaning of the word "Bad". He kept distracting her by passing her notes with smiley faces on them, some had bad jokes on them, some good jokes and she always laughed slightly, but not loud enough to draw attention to herself. She hardly got any work done because of him. So she had some major catching up to do. By the time she had finished the assignment the dismissal bell rung. So she gathered her things and walked out into the halls.

He walked behind her, "So where are you headed?"

She looked at him, a smile dancing on her lips. "The food court. It's lunch break."

"Oh... can you show me where it is?"

She shrugged, "Sure... but I'm going out to lunch with my girlfriends today. So we won't be able to hang out or anything."

"Oh. Got it, bummer." he said with a sigh. She led him to the food court as promised and stopped right by the fountain. They were met by her friends in a matter of minutes. They all stopped and looked at him, some smiled and some just barely nodded in acknowledgement. "Hi, I'm Goku."

Kagome smiled at him and took his hand in hers, "Hello Goku... I'm Kagome."

"And I'm Eighteen."

Chi-chi smiled and pointed to the other two, "This is Bulma and Sango."

Sango looked at him like he was a juicy piece of meat, "So when did you meet Chi-chi, Goku?"

He started to stutter, "This morning--"

Chi-chi looked at him and took over telling the story, "I was in a hurry to get to class and he knocked me down."

Bulma chuckled, shaking her head, "You are the clumsiest person I know--"

"Ha, and you're talking!" Chi-chi shot back laughingly. But their good humor wasn't to last.

"Bulma!" A girl shouted at a not-so-far distance.

Bulma rolled her eyes and said woefully, "Oh please, don't let it be another ' I'm sorry about what happened' thing."

Goku was confused, so he asked, "What's going on?"

Chi-chi had a stern look on her face but simply said, "I'll tell you later."

Kikyo, a girl Chi-chi and Kagome personally didn't like walked up to the group with a sympathetic frown on her face. She hugged Bulma tightly, patting her back as she did so. Chi-chi rolled her eyes and looked right at Kagome, who had an angry look on her face. She sat down on a nearby bench and watched the transaction.

"I'm so sorry about what happened with Yamcha. Are you alright?" Kikyo asked, looking at her like she actually felt sorry for her.

Bulma looked at her and nodded slightly, "I'm fine. Are you alright?"

"Honey it's no secret that that delicious hunk of a boyfriend of yours dumped you–"

That shocked her and her friends. It took her a moment to find her voice but she stammered, "W-W-Wait, what?! I didn't get dumped this morning ok–I'm not the dumpee I'm the dumper!"

"Yeah, it's totally the other way around." Chi-chi said, unable to believe what the bitch said.

Kikyo looked at Bulma, and nodded as if she understood, "Whatever to ease the pain-- do it. If you want to lie to yourself and everyone else be guest--"

"Were you here this morning?" Kagome said, looking at her wanting to pull out her hair right then and there.

"No, I heard it through the grapevine. I gotta go. Toodles!" She said, walking away from the group.

Sango, looked back at the retreating form of the cheerleader and asked bewilderedly, "Did I hear that bitch right? Did she just say you were dumped?"

"Uh-huh... I can't believe that lying cheating son-of-a-bitch lied and said he dumped me! Me! Oooh! He couldn't stand that he'd been dumped first!" she said blowing off steam. "If I see that bastard I'll be lit!"

Eighteen raised a brow, "Like you aren't now?"

Bulma shook her head, "No, I'm serious Eighteen–If I ever, ever see him–I'll be so pissed off. If I see him right now I don't know what I'll say or do–"

Kagome, spotting the cocky dirt bag flirting with yet another girl, asked, "Um, do you want to find out?"

"What?" she then turned around and saw him leaning against the wall, talking to a slutty brunette. She then walked up to the laughing couple and glared. "Where should I hit you first? Head, gut or groin?!"

Yamcha glared back. "Don't you see I'm busy?"

Bulma sighed, trying to calm down but couldn't manage it. "He gave me crabs!"

"Oh ewww!!" she shouted then ran away.

Yamcha then blew up at her, yelling, "What the fuck, Bulma!"

Bulma got right back with him, "How dare you tell the entire school you dumped me?!"

"Entire school? What are you talking about? I only told a few team mates. Three... or four tops."

Bulma was shaking with rage, "Who told their girlfriends–who I perform with you jack ass! That was straight out of line and a fat lie–and so low–even for you! I swear you're the biggest asshole I've ever known! I hate you."

"Oh stop bein such a drama queen–"

"Ha–I'm a drama queen, oh I'll show you a drama queen you dickwad!"

"Calm the fuck down!"

"No, fuck you! I am not calming down–not anymore–not after what you did–" Tears began running down her cheeks uncontrollably. "You are the most self-centered, lying cheating son-of-bitch I-I can't even stand to look at you! You are beyond evil–you have everyone thinking you dumped me when in reality I'm the one who dumped you! And now because of your ass they're looking down at me with pity! You fucking ruined me!"

Yamcha smirked, "Better you than me. I have a rep to protect so I did. Besides you're a chick–chicks get their hearts broken all the time. So no hard feelings?"

"No hard feelings? No hard feelings?" she growled out, and then she slapped him hard. "I don't wanna waste another second on you. You disgust me!"

He smiled that infuriating smile of his and replied, "Nah, you love me."

"Fuck. You." She then marched back over to her friends who all hugged her. "Oh! I'm so tired of him. As far as I'm concerned Yamcha can go fuck himself."

Goku seeing the distress the girl was going through he offered, "Want me to kick his ass?"

Chi-chi continued hugging her friend who cried, "He's not even worth it."

Eighteen looked down at her nails and asked, "Can we go to lunch and get out of the 'high school drama' zone?"

Bulma straightened and sighed, "Amen. Let's go."

"Can I see you afterwards?" Goku asked.

"We'll see." Chi-chi shouted over her shoulder as she walked away.

They walked to the student parking lot and piled into Chi-chi 's car. Bulma just broke down all over again as soon as they left campus. Chi-chi felt bad for her, if she could she would beat the moron down.

"You know if we betted this morning me and Sango would have won." Eighteen tossed out, uncaring what happened or if Bulma was hurt worse with her comment.

"Uh, Eighteen, I don't think now is the best time to–"

Bulma stopped, sniffling and asked, "What are you talking about?"

"Way to go Eighteen!" Chi-chi scolded.

Bulma looked at her friends and demanded, "What are you guys talking about?"

Sango was the one to answer her. "We kinda knew some kind of drama would attach itself to you. And it happened."

"We kinda knew you two would break up again."

Bulma then chuckled miserably, "What kind of friends are you?!"

"Gossiping bitches?" Eighteen offered, seeing the damage she had done.

She laughed, in spite of her pain. "Damn right."

"So... where should we dine ladies?"

Kagome's stomach growled loudly as well as Sango's. "Well, I, for one have an intense craving for any kind of food–I'm just hungry! I don't care where we eat as long as we eat soon!"

“Ok… how about Wok-n-Roll?” Chi-chi suggested, still cruising.

Eighteen shook her head, “Nah, I want something a little different. How about that new diner they opened up down town. What’s it called…”

“You talking about Yajirobi’s Kitchen?” Sango asked.

“Yeah that’s the place.”

“Huh, never been there–let’s try it out.”

“Ok, Yajirobi’s it is.”

Once they arrived at Yajirobi’s Kitchen they had to wait until the line dwindled down. “It can’t possibly be that good!” Chi-chi muttered to her friends, almost close to the server. A cute guy with greenish blue hair then led them to a good booth by the window. Bulma went in first then leaned her head against the window, her cerulean eyes saddened.

“How could he do such a thing–Did he even care about me at all?” she said as a stray tear fell down her cheek. “How could he do this to me?”

“I don’t know–but that was the most underhanded thing I’ve ever witnessed. I could kill him if you want me to.”

“That goes double for.” Eighteen chimed in.

Bulma smiled, “The most unbearable thing of all this is that he knows how much I hate people looking down their noses at me. It’s worse than the sarcastic looks of ‘poor little rich girl who has everything she wants’–”

“No one thinks of you like that Bulms.” Kagome said reassuringly.

“Yeah they do.” Eighteen said.

Kagome then shot Eighteen an evil look and spat, “Gee thanks a lot Eighteen!”

“Kagome she’s right.”

“No she isn’t. She’s just being her usual mean-self!”

“Be realistic though Kagome–besides Chi-chi–well, I am the wealthiest girl in school while Chi-chi’s second richest.”

“Trust me Bulma… you being rich has nothing to do with it. Those stares are from jealousy. Pure and simple. I mean, yeah, you’re insanely rich but you’re also a good person–a spaz at times…”

“Hey!” Bulma exclaimed, throwing a bread stick at her. “Gee thanks a lot–”

“Let me finish! You’re also one of the hottest girls in school. So what Yamcha’s a self-centered dirtbag of a lying pig–don’t let him win by crying over what he did. You move on and be happy.”

She sniffled then nodded, “You’re right. He isn’t worth crying over.”

Chi-chi smiled, nodding, “That’s right.”

“Ok, my goal now; is to find a guy and have a good time with him!”

They all nearly cheered, “Good!”

“I can have any guy I want. Before Yamcha’s stupid ass and his fucking drama I had been asked out by fifty guys in one weeks alone. I had so many guys panting for me that I couldn’t even keep up with them all. And I can have that again.”

Chi-chi said reassuringly, “Of course you can sweetie.”

Bulma’s confidence then deflated. “But what if I get shut down. I don’t think I can take that. After all Yamcha was the hottest guy in the entire school.”

“Speak for yourself.” Eighteen said with a scoff.

“What he is!” Bulma said, unable to believe she was debating his hotness with her friend.

Sango waved a hand in a passing gesture, “Whatever… he may be hot but he’s a dog. And besides you are too beautiful to get shut down.”

Bulma sighed, “We’ll see.”

The hot waiter came back, a smirk on his handsome face, “Ready to order?”

Chi-chi was the first to order, “Um… yeah. I’ll have a cheeseburger, loaded with everything and a side of curly fries.”

“Ok…and to drink?” He said, jotting down her order.

“A large coke please.”

“I’ll have the same as her but with no pickles… and no onions please.”

“Ok…” he said jotting down her order. “Anyone else ready to order?”

“Hmm. Yes… I will have the monster burger with seasoned fries and a large cherry coke. Oh and don’t forget the extra pickles doll.”

“I’ll have the seafood platter. No tartar sauce and a large lemonade.”

“Alright…” he then looked at Bulma and his eyes glazed over, “And you miss?”

“A Ceaser salad and I’d like some ice water.”

Eighteen rolled her eyes, “You can make that at home! Order something more complex… more filling–”

“I’m trying to lose weight–”

“What weight?! You’re already too thin as it is!”

Chi-chi looked at the waiter and said, “Change her order to the chicken alfredo.”

The waiter seemed amused and asked, “What drink ladies?”

They all answered at once, “A milk shake.”

“What kind of milk shake?”

“Strawberry.” They all said in unison.

“Ok. I’ll be back with your drinks.” He said with a wink, then walked from the table.

“Oh, my God! I can’t believe you! I wasn’t even that hungry!”

Kagome looked her over and asked, “You’re not anorexic are you?”

“No. Of course not!”

Kagome looked at her, “Just checking.”

“But you do need to eat more though.”

“Whatever.”

The waiter came back balancing five drinks–one of which was a strawberry milk shake. Bulma rolled her eyes and smiled, taking the drink. Bulma couldn’t believe her friends ordered for her. But that didn’t stop her from wanting the cool treat, not to mention the carb full lunch the girls ordered. Ever since she had started dating Yamcha she had forsaken all carbs and fat inducing snacks and drinks. But she had secretly wanted to break her diet for a long time but really never had the will power to. Now though, breaking up with that asshole, and friends who pushed her to eat and drink unhealthily what choice did she have?

What made her want to date Yamcha in the first place anyway? She no longer knew. She looked at her friends and sighed. She couldn’t blame them really, she was very skinny. So she sucked on the cold treat and sighed with pleasure.

“It’s been that long has it?”

“Mm-hmm! Oh yeah!” she said with utter ecstasy, then taking another long suck of the tasty beverage. “The waiter was cute wasn’t he?”

“Oh yeah,” Sango said, eyeing the handsome waiter as he waited on another table.

Kagome saw the wicked look in the girl’s eye and asked, “Thinking about asking him out, aren’t you?”

Bulma smiled as she said, “Yep.”

Eighteen looked at her then shook her head. “I don’t think you will.”

“Just wait.”

When the waiter came back to their booth Bulma flirted with him shamelessly, smiling coyly, eyeing him predatorily. He flirted back, looking down her blouse at her bountiful breasts, smiling brilliantly. Bulma had the poor guy eating out of her hand until he was reluctant to wait on the other tables. He left but not before slipping her his number.

Eighteen smirked, “Ok I was wrong.”

“Yes, you were.” She said smiling wickedly. “And now I know I still got it.”

They ate their delicious meals in silence, although giggling amongst themselves, looking over at the handsome waiter who couldn’t keep his eyes off Bulma the entire time. So she ate provocatively, eyeing him all the while, licking the alfredo sauce from the corner of her mouth.

“Oh my God I can’t believe you’re doing that!” Kagome exclaimed, watching her friend with wide eyes.

Sango on the other hand chuckled, approving Bulma’s behavior, “So bad.”

She licked her lips from more sauce. “You’re right I am being bad. But if Yamcha can be bad I can too.”

Chi-chi looked down at her watched and noticed that they were late. “Ooh we have to go back it’s about 1:00.”

“Aw hell, I wasn’t even done!”

Bulma smiled, “Check!” she exclaimed, waving him over.

Sango looked at her food, not wanting to part from it. “Do you think we can finish in the car?”

Chi-chi glared at them, “Oh hell-to-the-no! You are not eating in my precious baby!”

“C’mon Chi–” Kagome begged but then fell silent when she noticed that the hot waiter was heading their way.

The watched the waiter whose tag read Zarbon walk toward the table with a slight smile on his face. Bulma gave him a saucy once over and a seductive smile.

“Here’s your check. And be sure to call me.” He said with a wink.

She smiled up at him, “Oh I will.”

“When are you gonna call?”

“Hmm… tonight at six.”

“Alright I’ll be waiting for that call.” He then walked from their table to attend another needy patron.

The bill came up to twenty-nine dollars and eighty-six cents. Once Chi-chi paid for their lunch the Fabulous Five exited the restaurant talking and laughing until they entered her car. Chi-chi had caved and allowed the girls to finish their lunches in the car.

“I don’t wanna go back to school!” Eighteen exclaimed, dipping another fry in a circle of ketchup.

“Me neither. I’m so not prepared for third period.” Kagome said, looking glum.

Sango looked at her sister in disbelief, “You? After all that studying you did?”

“It didn’t stick though.”

“No matter how much I want to skip–we can’t. We were there for–like–half the day already. We can’t skip now, too many people saw us.” Bulma said rationally.

Eighteen nodded, “OK, you have a point there. Tomorrow we should skip school all together.”

“No!” Chi-chi exclaimed. “We are not skipping.”

“You are such a stick in the mud Chi!” Bulma exclaimed.

When the girls got to campus a group of guys were there waiting for them. Chi-chi arched a dark brow and looked at Sango who shrugged. “Wait, I think I know one of those clowns!”

“Isn’t that that hottie Go-chu–no–Goku?”

“Yep. Who do you think they’re waiting for?”

Sango grinned, looking at Chi-chi knowingly, “A certain brunette who drives a kick ass car.”

“They are not waiting for me,”

Eighteen cut in, “No but one is. Jeez what did you do to the guy? Give him an amazing blow job or something?”

“I didn’t do anything. He just knocked me on my ass, we talked a little, and he joked with me in class–”

“Well it sounds like he has a crush on you sister.” Bulma said with a teasing smile.

“He doesn’t even know me.” Chi-chi said stubbornly.

Bulma shook her head, “Doesn’t matter, he thinks you’re hot.”

“Whatever.” She said, turning off the engine. She then got out the car and slammed the door behind her.

“Why wouldn’t he think you’re hot?” Sango asked, falling into step beside her.

Chi-chi didn’t answer she just walked toward the group of guys. She placed her hands on her hips and–she couldn’t help it–smiled, one of those big goofy smiles. Goku smiled back at her and her heart did a little dance inside her chest.

“Are you stalking me now?”

Goku smirked at that, “In no way shape or form. But I wanted to introduce you to my brothers; Inuyasha, Vegeta, and Miroku.”

Kagome stopped beside Chi-chi and gasped. Her eyes eating up the boy with the silver hair and golden eyes. “Hello!” She said with a saucy smile.

Inuyasha was used to being ogled so he said, “’Sup.”

Sango leaned toward Bulma and whispered, “Damn they’re hot!”

“I know… especially the guy with his hair spiked upward. Mm-mm, tasty!”

“They’re alright but not as gorgeous as you’re making them out to be.” Eighteen said out loud for them to hear.

“You are such a bitch.” Kagome hissed.

“That’s my name don’t wear it out.” Eighteen said with a smirk.

“Uh, we were wondering if you’d show us to our next class. That is if you have the time.”

The girls answered for her, “Sure–”

“No.” Chi-chi said sternly.

The boy with the short pony-tail looked sad and said, “Oh c’mon–”

Goku looked at her, his warm dark brown eyes begging her. “C’mon Chi, you can spare a minute.”

She blushed a little and then looked at him, a stern look on her face. “Fine. C’mon.”

Eighteen looked at the guys mischievously and spoke up, “In fact do you guys wanna skip class all together? We were thinking about doing it–”

“Eighteen!”

& #8220;I thought you were going to show us around?” Goku said, confusion etched on his face.

“We were but something’s come up. Right, Chi?”

She looked as if trapped, then shrugged, what the hell, she thought. “Yeah, something came up.”

Bulma sighed, being here at the campus brought back the anger of this morning, which was bad for her new confidence. “Shit I have no reason to stay here. Pity, I’m not big on.”

Miroku sided up to her and asked, “What do you mean?”

“It all happened earlier–long story short I’m pissed, embarrassed and down-right outraged!”

“Bulma!!! Hey!!! We need to talk!” Kiyko shouted, running up to them.

“Oh shit! Let’s go!”

Vegeta smirked, and folded his arms, sensing a dramatic scene was about to come. “No let’s stay, at least to see this little scene play out.”

Kikyo caught up to them before they had a chance of leaving. So Bulma turned and faced her. “Uh, Bulma not to make a bad situation worse… but I felt the need to be the one to tell you.”

“What are you talking about Kikyo?”

“Yamcha just asked me out and I couldn’t say no… so we’re sort of dating now–”

Bulma was shocked, beyond shocked and all she could ask was, “What?!”

“I’m sorry–”

“Like hell you are! How could you do that to her?!” Kagome shouted.

“My God what happened to being sorry about what happened?! When the fuck did you get together?!”

She had the nerve to look guilty, when everyone there knew she didn’t have such emotion. “Well actually last night–over and over–”

“Last night–we weren’t even broken up then?” Bulma then smiled frostily. “You know what, you can have his sorry ass. And believe me when I say this… Karma’s a fucking hormonal fickle bitch. What goes around always comes around right back to bite you in your ass. Your day will come I just hope I’m there to see it!”

Kagome looked at the bitched and said, “Me too.”

“Bulma–please don’t be upset–it all just sort of happened–”

“Fuck you I don’t wanna know! I don’t need to know Kikyo! All I know is that you betrayed me and I can’t stand to see you right now!” she then walked away with her friends to the car. They piled in and Chi-chi sped out the parking lot. “Fuck!” Bulma shouted, feeling the hurt anew.

“You must be feeling very vulnerable right now–”

“Miroku–shut the fuck up!” Goku said, nearly growled.

Inuyasha shook his head, “You’re such an idiot!”

“Can you believe that bitch? God, she couldn’t wait to pounce on him!” Bulma said, crying. “God, I just want things to make sense again!”

“God, does the drama ever end?” Eighteen said under her breath.

“Obviously not!” Bulma then looked at the silent guy next to her and asked, “So are you the silent type Veggie?”

Inuyasha, Miroku and Goku looked at each other and laughed out loud. “Veggie?”

Vegeta looked at her disdainfully, “Don’t ever call me that again.”

“Ok, sorry. So are you?”

Miroku answered her. “Yes he is. It gets rather annoying actually.”

Vegeta glared at him. “You’re plenty annoying yourself M.”
