Summary: A young Link Starwind ends up losing his left hand in a battle again Naraku. A powerful youkai who wishs to give the power of the shikon no tama. Now he must lean to contort his feels and over come self-doubt to help his friends and family fight against Naraku.

Note: Ginsenshi is Inuyasha's last name.

Chapter 1: A surprise and a gift?

The year is 2150, somewhere in Tokyo, Japan, "Link Starwind wake up." said a man's voice. "Huh? What the-?" Link asks. "Can you stand sir?" the man of about the same age asks. "Yeah I think so." Link says. The young man, Link Starwind, tries to stand, but falls back on him-self. "Are you okay Link?" his friend asks. "Yes, Bit I'm fine. But why do I feel so weak?" Link asks Bit. Someone walks in, "Is he okay Bit? The man asks. "Kind of, but he hasn't seen it yet." Bit says back. "Any chance of fixing the limb?" the man asks. "None that I can see." Bit says. A young woman kicks the door down, "Is he okay?! Is my husband okay Bit?" the woman asks. 'Just what we need, Ruto. Yea.' Bit thinks, "He's fine Ruto, he's asleep." Bit says. "Thank God." Ruto says. "So how long have you been here Ruto?" Bit asks." Since you called me Cloud oh sorry Bit s-s-shut up!" Ruto says with tears in her eyes. "He'll be okay Ruto." someone says. "ZELDA?!" Ruto asks. "Hmm." Zelda asks with a smile. "Bit will he be okay?" Zelda asks. "Of course he will Zelda." Bit says. Link moans from the other room. "Uh-Ruto?!" Link says weakly. "He's awake Bit. He's awake." Ruto says. Ruto walks into Link's room, "Nice to see you're still alive." Ruto says. "Haha, very funny." Link says. "Link?" Ruto says. "Yeah Ruto?" Link asks. "Ah-ham, Link err how do you feel?" Bit asks from the doorway. "I feel, like I got hit by a very big rock. Now I know how Inuyasha feels after getting sat the 100th time." Link says. "Haha, very funny dear." Ruto says. "Oh?!" Link says. "Yeah funny." Bit says. "Bit. Where are we any ways?" Link asks. "Don't you remember? We're in Tokyo Japan fighting against Naraku." Bit says. "Oh? And Ginsenshi and Himura?" Link asks. "They'll be coming by for visit later." Bit says. "No we won't but I will though Bit." Inuyasha says from the front door way. "Inuyasha?" Link asks from the bed. "Konnichiwa Link-kun." Inuyasha says. "Hello yourself Inuyasha. Hey where's Kenshin?" Link asks. "At home with Kaoru." Inuyasha says. 'Where I'd like to be is home too, with Kagome.' Inuyasha thinks. "Ah-ham, Link can I speak to you?" Bit asks. "Yeah sure." Link says. "ALONE! Please." Bit says. "Oh." Inuyasha says, as he walks outside. "Well, Link this maybe hard to accept but--you only have your right hand to work with now." Bit says quickly, as his ears move around. "Now don't go screaming, calm down Link you'll have a new hand in a week or two." Bit says, as he covers his ears. "WHAT?!" Link shouts. 'As if I'm gonna listen to Bit.' Link thinks. [2 or 3 weeks later] "There ye go Link-sama a new hand." Kaede says. "Arigato Kaede-sama." Link says. "Ye new hand is robotic, so don't swimming until it's water proofed Link-sama." Kaede says. "And--?" Link says, knowing something else is going to be said. "And I'm here to talk, that I am Link-kun." Someone says. "Kenshin!?!" Link asks. "Konnichiwa Link-kun. And how are you feeling?" Kenshin asks. "Well, lets see my left hand is gone, how do you think I feel?" Link asks. "Oro?" Kenshin says, "I take it, that there's no hate flowing around here that there isn't?" Kenshin asks. "HATE!?! Now what gave you that idea?" Link asks. 'He's acting like nothing happened, that he is.' Kenshin thinks. Within Link's head though he acted otherwise, 'Everything's over my life, my mission to portect my family and friends. EVERYTHING!!!' Link thinks. "It's not my son, remember you're a hero of Hyrule, Your mission will only be over if the Goddesses choose it to be." A voice says in his mind. 'This robotic hand is useless only a true hylian hand can touch the Master Sword.' Link thinks. "Useless? No a gift in diskettes, "With great power also comes great responsibility." This is the power to help your friends and family. " Said the women's voice.

Chapter 2: Unusual dream day

Some weeks later, (Sighs): 'It's to quiet for me.' Link thinks, "No way I'll be able to fight again." Link says. "Link dear you have a robotic hand right? Ruto asks. "Yeah so." Link says with a dry voice. "Fool you'll fight again become its robotic and magical." Ruto says. "WHAT?!" Link asks, "So Kaede a miko?" Link asks. "Yes she is." Ruto says. "It still useless though." Link says. "Link I'm surprised it you, you where greatest Hero in all of Hyrule and you'll be again, doubt ain't gonna help you over come this now stop acting like the world stopped and stand up and fight again!" Inuyasha shouts at Link. "Inuyasha," Link says looking at him. "What?" Inuyasha asks. "Get out!" Link shouts. "Fine! But remember your life hasn't ended." Inuyasha says he walks out. "Link you know, he's though." Ruto says. "Grr, I KNOW THAT! But I can't accept it I won't accept it!" Link shouts, as he's run out of the house. "Link…" Ruto says. Somewhere about half a minute away, `Everyone right through I have to accept it, grr but I can't not yet at less.' Link thinks. "Doubting yourself already?" Someone asks. "Who? Naraku?" Link asks. "No a friend Link." The person says. "Kagome?" Link asks. "Why are you doubting yourself Link?" Kagome asks as she sits down next to Link. "I don't know I mean I'm fighter I only know to show my feelings through fist, haha, but now everything seems pointless ya know?" Link says. "We all go through this as senshi Link, your not alone uh I myself and Inuyasha have gone through this a number of time but in the end your get through it with help from friends and family." Kagome says. "Grr, I don't every-thing just-grr I don't know." Link growls. "Now you sound like Inuyasha." Kagome says with a smile, "everything will be okay Link." Kagome says as she gets up. "Yea know what?" Link asks. "What?" Kagome asks. "Your right, this is just a fight I'll get through. `No I won't who am I kidding my live is over.' Link thinks. Ruto rides up on Epona. "You okay now link?" Ruto asks. "I'm fine!" Link says angrily. "Oh hi Kagome you get through to him at all?" Ruto asks. "Nop not at all." Kagome says. "Will I'll be seeing you Ruto… Link." Kagome says. "Yeah bye." Link says. Link, Ruto and Epona return home.

Chapter 3: Self-denia

Later back at Link's house, "Hungary Link?" Ruto asks. "No." Link says. "You know, your being cool toward the ones who wanta help Link." Ruto says. "Ah." Link sights and going outside to sit with Epona. "Hey girl." Link says to Epona. Epona move her as if to say: "I'm fine. How are you?" Link moves a bit to reveal his robotic hand. Epona sees it and jumps a bit and bites it. "Ahh! 'What the-that hurt.' Link thinks. Epona then bites Link's normal hand. "EPONA!" Link shouts. Epona then thews Link on her back. "Oh, I see lets ride." Link says. Link rides Epona out to Lake Yoshimoto. As a cool wind blows Link's hair ever witch way. 'Awe its peaceful and calm out here.' Link thinks, as he looks up into the calm night sky. Link's state of mind at this moment is calm and somewhat kinder to things. "Lets return now I'm hungry, HIYA!" Link shouts. They return about an hour later. "Link?" Ruto asks. "Yeah Ruto?" Link asks with a kinder voice then before. "Back to normal?" Ruto asks. Link sighs, "I'm sorry Ruto it's just with everything that happened… well I'm sorry." Link says. Link's stomach growls as they go into the kitchen, "Hungary? I left some food for you." Ruto says as she hands Link his food. "Thanks." Link says as he stares at it. "Everything okay?" Ruto asks. "You know what's wrong." Link says darkly. 'The wind it's cool as is Link.' Ruto thinks, "Link please accept it." Ruto says. "What?! Where is that coming from Ruto?" Link asks. "You know Link there." Ruto says. "Yeah I know." Link says. "If you know give over it already!" Ruto shouts. "Ahh! Stop saying that, I know that Ruto!" Link shouts. `He'll even get over it ever. But he has to for everyone's sake he has to.' Ruto thinks. Inuyasha walks in. "Denial and doubt Link? Acting foolish Link? You can't doubt anything Link fight on." Inuyasha says. "Inuyasha its no use I'll never get over this." Link says. "Fool, you call yourself a fighter ha, ha, ha yeah right." Naraku laughs. "STOP LAUGHING!" Link shouts. "I can't your so… well weak now I just have to laugh." Naraku says. `Grr, self-doubt all -all of it gone.' Link thinks. Something hits Link. But Link just looks at dryly. "As I though he doesn't know who he is anymore he lost in his will to fight." Kaede says. "Why's that Kaede-sama?" Ruto asks. "This happens sometime with a great senshi they become over doubtful and lost their way like what happen to Link." Kaede says. "Lost his way how?" Ruto asks. "We do not know their just do." Kaede says, the way to bring him out of it is for to open his heart to the true witch is hard enough, but with him being lost within his own head it make it that mush harder." Kaede says. `Link.' Ruto and everyone else thinks. "Lets just hit him on the head to bring him out of it." Inuyasha says. "Osuwari!" Kagome says. As Inuyasha hits the ground. "Fine we won't do that." Inuyasha says as he gets up. "There has to be a way." Ruto says. "There is…" Kagome says. "How?!" Ruto asks. "Change the past." Kagome says. "That impossible." Bit says. "Ye of all people should know anything is possible Bit." Kaede says. "Oh, yea you're right." Bit says. Link is sitting there still looking lifeless. "Let's go for it." Ruto says. "I'm sorry we can't though." Kagome says. "Why not?" Zelda asks. "The gate closed." Kagome says.

Chapter 4: The attack and Link's memory

"There only that or we leave him like this." Bit says. `Maybe the temple of time.' Ruto thinks. In *Link's dream,* "That how it happen… I was fighting Naraku and he stab me in my left hand." Link then falls into endless darkness. "Ahh…What where am I?" Link asks. "Awaken Link, awaken they need you awaken…" a familial voice says. "Navi?" Link asks. Link suddenly awakens. "WHAT?! They need me but where are they?" Link asks himself. Somewhere in Japan's Southland's, "Sayonara fools and say hello to Link when you see him the Spirit World." Naraku says. "A amputee or not I have to help them. Epona come." Link says. Link makes its to where the other in about an hour. "Konnichiwa Naraku." Link says. "What?! I heard you when dead." Naraku says. "Well as you can I'm alive and ready to knick your ass. READY?" Link says. "Ah yes you can't fight with only one hand can you?" Naraku asks. "Oh can't I?" Link asks, as his robotic turns into a beam saber. "Oh crap." Naraku says. "Oh crap is ready now, DIE!" Link shouts, as he charges it Naraku. `This is a gift.' Link thinks. "Good he come out of it." Ruto says. "NOOO!" Naraku shouts. "So amputee hmm defeated me?" Naraku asks himself. "Everyone was right." Link says, Now with this sword of light and the Master Sword we seal you away!" link shouts as he strike Naraku. "I'll have my revenge Starwind!" Naraku yells as he vanishes. "Change the world for the better ahh." Link says. "Finish it last." Everyone says. As return to the eras.

Chapter 5: 1 week later and the news report

An odd man walks up to Link's door and knocks. "Coming!" Link shouts from the kitchen. "Yes?" Link says as he answers the door. "Are you Link Starwind?" the person asks. "Yes I am who are you?" Link asks. "I'm a reporter for Shonen news and I'm doing article about you and your fight against Naraku." The reporter says, May I ask a few questions?" the reporter asks. "S-sure thing." Link says. "How did you feel be a great warrior and all of a sudden losing all that?" the reporter asks. "Well at first I was very doubtful and I thought I couldn't do anything." Link says. "Oh why?" the reporter asks. "It was because of denial and doubt I felt useless." Link says. "What can you to help new amputee or younger amputee?" the reporter asks. "Well that hard to say but my advice is to never give in to anything and always believe there's a bright future in your life." Link says. "Thank you for that advice." the reporter says. "Your well come Mr.-um what's your name?" Link asks. "It Hayamoto, Taiyashi Hayamoto." He says.

~So the story ends now, but only for now. But our Hero Link will carry on fight all evil~
