Sessho-maru picked up the piece of paper. He frowned. This one was much different from the one in the forest. It had no writing. "You think I don't know that!" came the voice of the half-breed Inu-Yasha. Sighing, Sessho-maru turned.

"Hello, my dear brother." he said in a calm voice. Inu-Yasha had the Tetsusaiga out already.

"Give it up Sessho-maru!" Inu-Yasha yelled. The full demon took out the blank scroll.

"You want this? It is blank. I have no need of it anymore!" Sessho-maru said through clenched teeth. I mean really all that work for nothing. He let go of the paper and it floated to Inu-Yasha who caught it.

"It is not blank." came a whispering voice. "It just has no words." Raistlin took the paper from Inu-Yasha and whispered to it, "Show us our way." The paper began to glow a blue color and an arrow appeared on the page. Smiling Raistlin put it in his robs.

"Now if you want it," he said to Sessho-maru. "I suppose you'll have to fight for it, my lord. " He gave a mock bow and turned away. Sessho-maru looked at Raistlin's retreating figure and felt himself grow very angry. Taking out the Toukijin Sessho-maru looked back at his half-brother.

The battle was intense. The two swords went at each other with no mercy. Sparks flew everywhere as the two demon brother's went at each other's throats. However, it was obvious who had the advantage.

"Alright, Inu-Yasha!" yelled Shippo.

"He's winning?" asked Kagome. Sessho-maru had backed up to the edge of the cliff and it looked like Inu-Yasha was about to push him off. Raistlin looked at both fighters. Although Sessho-maru was backed up to the edge he didn't seem very worried. And even though Inu-Yasha had him backed up to the cliff's edge he was breathing heavily and looked exhausted.

"No." the magi said under his breath. "He's not winning."

'Why am I feeling so exhausted?' Inu-Yasha wondered. He swung the Tetsusaiga at his brother again whom side stepped around Inu-Yasha this time. He flicked his wrist and Inu-yasha stumbled falling off the cliff.

"Inu-Yasha!" Kagome screamed and she ran up next to the cliff. Inu-Yasha was hanging on a branch. The Tetsusaiga was on one of the edges below. "Hold on we'll get you back up!" The other's had gathered around the girl and were now talking very rapidly.

Sessho-maru turned and faced Raistlin. "I won." he said with a hiss.

"Indeed." replied Raistlin. "You won the first battle, but as of yet you haven't beaten me." The magi heard a sudden ringing in his ears. The urge to cover them was very great. Raistlin looked around trying to figure out what the sound was.

Sessho-maru was now about to cut Raistlin down. The young magi closed his eyes and pulled something out of his cloak. A broken orb, the sword hit it making a very loud sound.

"What...?" asked Sessho-maru as the orb began to glow. Raistlin dropped it in surprise as the other piece from inside his robe flew out and hit the other one. There was a burst of energy and both Sessho-maru and Raistlin were thrown back.

After the dust cleared the newly formed orb was sitting there. It was all color's, but none. Raistlin looked at it for a moment before getting up and grabbing it. 'Impossible...' was his first thought.

"Inu-Yasha!" Kagome called down. "Just hold on for a few more minutes!" The half-demon tightened his grip on the branch. He was absolutely exhausted not even able to retort back to Kagome.

"Just hurry up!" he groaned.

Sessho-maru got up and watched the magi look into the orb. Suddenly hands came out of it and grabbed the black robbed magi's own wrists.

"Call for it master.." it seemed to whisper. The whisper carried all throughout the mountain. Kagome could feel the hairs on her head stand up.

Raistlin closed his eyes and tried to concentrate away from the cold hand's gripping him. He said a few words in the spidery language of magic and then there was a deafening roar. A green dragon flew down and swept Raistlin up. Other dragons followed it, red and blue. They landed next to Kagome and company.

Raistlin flew the dragon down to where Inu-Yasha hung onto the branch.

"Jump on if you dare half-breed." he said coldly. Inu-Yasha felt anger rise in him and he jumped down onto the dragon's back. They picked up his sword before coming up to where Kagome looked hesitant to climb onto the red one's back.

"We must go now priestess." Raistlin said in a whisper. Reluctantly Kagome stepped onto the dragons back as the rest followed suit. The dragons took off and flew away from the mountain.

"You do good our master..." the orb whispered to Raistlin and this time even his hairs stood on end. The cold hands retreated back into the orb.

"L-lord Sessho-maru?" asked Jaken. Sessho-maru turned away.

"We are leaving now Jaken. We will pick Rin up and then pursue my dear half-brother." He began to walk away, but his mind was racing. Dragon's hadn't been seen for over a hundred years.

The dragons landed and their passengers jumped off them. All of them bowed to Raistlin then took off again. Inu-Yasha glared at the black cloaked magi.

"Who are you?" he asked. Raistlin turned away and looked up into the sky. Growling Inu-Yasha walked over and grabbed the back of the magi. "I asked you a question!" Raistlin wordlessly turned around.

"I know half-breed!" he snarled at Inu-Yasha breaking free of the grip. And then he said quietly. "I believe we should sit down some where first." They soon found a river bend and all the company sat down on rocks.

Sighing Raistlin looked back into the sky. "I am not from this world. I live on a plane called Krynn. In Krynn there are many dragons and as you saw it seems they have followed me here. This," he said taking out the orb. "is a dragon orb. The last one on my planet. I used to be its master until it broke itself." He closed his eyes again.

"Somehow when Sessho-maru's sword hit it. It was fixed. However it is slightly different." He looked down at the orb and shivered. "I don't need to get into that though."

"Okay," said Kagome trying to figure it out. "So youºre from a different world where there are dragons and you are master of a dragon orb. What is a dragon orb exactly?"

"It is the only way to control a dragon and it takes a lot of magic to control it."

"Is there anyway that the orb can turn against you?" asked Sango.

"That has only happened once and can't happen in this plane." Raistlin picked up the orb and took out a small bag.

"The orb can't fit in that." said Inu-Yasha snorting, but was cut off as the orb began to shrink... or was it that they were growing larger? Raistlin put the dragon orb in to the bag and tied it at the top.

"Okay so who are you in your world?" asked Kagome.

"I am the master of past and present. I am not human, demon, or god.¡ He seemed to tense up when he said «godº. »I am not mortal, yet Iºm not immortal¡ A silence fell over the group as Raistlin finished speaking.

«Well that explains why I couldnºt identify his smell.º Thought Inu-Yasha bitterly.

«Ridding on the dragon was really fun.º Thought Shippo.

«Raistlin is so mysterious.º Thought Kagome. «I wonder how he became like this.º

«That dragon orb is frightening. How can we be sure he can control it?º wondered Sango.

«I donºt think he told us everything.º Miroku said to himself.

Raistlinºs mind was racing. So many unanswered questions. Then when he got answers more questions popped up. Why and how did the sword fix the dragon orb? What was he doing here? And how did he get here? The high shrilling ringing had started again.

«Be quiet.º He told the orb. /Patience, master. All questions will be answered./ Suddenly Raistlin felt a wave of exhaustion fall over him. He tried to shake of the weariness, but was unable to he nodded off into a restless sleep. /Sleep now master./

Kagome watched as her friends each nodded off to sleep. Shippo had placed a blanket over Raistlin, who had been the first to fall asleep. Inu-Yasha was leaning against a tree with his eyes closed. Kagome got up and walked over to him. Her hand made itºs way into his.

She smiled up at him and he couldnºt help, but smile back.

»Whatºs wrong?¡ Kagome asked. Inu-Yasha glanced over at the tossing and turning mage. »I donºt rally know.¡ He sighed. »I just canºt trust him.¡

Kagome looked up into the half-demonºs eyes. His eyeºs were sad and beautiful. She brought his face down until their lips almost touched. Kagome Paused not sure is she continued. Inu-Yasha made the decision for her. He pushed her up and their lips met.

Surprised for a second Kagome didnºt do anything. Then she wrapped her arms around his waist. Inu-Yasha broke off their kiss for air and was surprised to see Kagome crying. »Whatºs wrong?¡ he asked.

»I-itºs just I«m so happy, but does this mean that you chose me, over Kikyo?¡ Inu-Yasha looked into Kagomeºs pleading eyes and he realized that his heart was aching for this girl. Kagome may have started out as the replacement for Kikiyo, but now Kikyo was just a replacement for Kagome.

»Yes.¡ He said without anymore hesitation. Kagome burst into tears and flung his arms around his neck. »Oh Inu-Yasha!¡ Inu-Yasha wrapped his arms around her sinking to the ground.

»I love you Kagome.¡ He whispered before nodding off to sleep.

Amora: ha that was actually longer then usual! I had to put in a Kagome/Inu-Yasha scene. ^_^ I think their the perfect couple in this. Death to Kikyo which Iºm not sure if I spelt that right. Review?
