I really need advice. I know it my rating was really under but I thought it would stay at that level for the duration of the story until it got a bit more complex. Half Kagome's pov and half Inuyasha's pov.

Chapter five: Nightmare

***** Kagome pov *****

The last thing I remember was holding on to Inuyasha's haori then being picked up by someone other than Inuyasha. It turned out to be a man he was holding me around the waist and running really fast He opened one door and went through. There were so many how could they figure out which ones were theirs?

He finally stopped at one door and pulled us both in. It was so cold and damp; well to put it in a better way it was a cave. I was frozen. No not paralyzed frozen to the spot. He said "Sorry for the long ride, I didn't want that albino mutt to find us." He headed toward me the only thing I could manage to say was, "Inuyasha."

"Ha that thing won't come to get you he has never cared for anyone that much to save them."

*****Inu pov*****

I wrenched open one door that didn't belong to me for sure because I saw my worst memory but I kept on thinking `Can't stop no matter what I have to find Kagome. I am going to have one heck of a headache in the morning.'

Another door, another memory, another pain. Their scent was everywhere but it didn't matter as long as I found Kagome. He had better not hurt her.

Then I heard it Kagome was calling me and she was very scared. How did I know that? I really must be out of my mind over Kagome. I really am going soft over a human!

The fifteenth door I tried was the one I needed there she was on the ground looking scared and hurt and there was Kouga advancing on her a strange look in his eyes.

I felt even more rage than I had felt when Kikiyou had taken my body. I unsheathed Tetsiauga and went straight for the Kouga's stomach.

He sensed me and turned around swiftly, then suddenly turned into a whirlwind and went after me we clashed sword against claws. "She doesn't want you she doesn't even care." Kouga said snidely.

"Inuyasha please stop. Don't hurt him." Kagome said half-heartedly. She tried to pull herself up but couldn't. What had he done to her? I whipped past Kouga and picked her up Kagome sighed happily and nuzzled into my shirt.

Kouga looked surprised and hurt. Just for emphasis I stuck my tongue out at him and started to walk out before Kouga barred our way and said, "Kagome's my woman."

"Pathetic." I sighed. "Kagome do you want to stay here with this thing?" I asked squeezing her against me. Kagome shook her head using the last bit of strength left in her.

Kouga's eyes went wide then he disappeared probably to sulk over his loss.

*****Kagome pov*****

Inuyasha carried me back into my room he then set me down on my bed and drew back but I tried to grab him he sat down on my bed and said, "I shouldn't have let you go in the mirror with me."

His hand reached up to my forehead and wiped back my bangs "Sleep well. I will try and find something to help you regain your strength." He said soothingly as I fell into a deep sleep

***Dream sequence***

A woman that looked remarkably like Kagome held her hand out to Inuyasha He took it. Kagome's running to catch them but they kept moving away. Inuyasha pulled the woman toward him and their lips met. Kagome yelled but no sound came out.

***End dream sequence***

*****Kagome pov*****

I woke up screaming Inuyasha's name I was really glad that no one was in the vicinity of my room.

Inuyasha came out of the mirror with a worried look on his face. "Kagome are you alright." I sat up and put my head in my hands and sobbed quietly.

I felt Inuyasha come and sit down beside me. He put his arms around me "What happened?" "I lost you to another." I whispered. He laughed then turned my face to his and held up my chin so I was looking into his gold eyes. "Kagome, I have never loved anyone except you. Even though I may not have a body I still have a heart and I still can touch you. Don't worry I will always be here to keep you safe."

With that he gently pulled me in closer to him and brought my face up to his for a long passionate kiss. And for the first time after we pulled away I saw Inuyasha, as he was when he was a real person.

The moonlight shone behind him showing almost everything about him in perfect detail. Right there and then for those few moments he was human, I saw a man with violet eyes and black hair and human ears other than that he was the same Inuyasha.

I leaned up against the demon Inuyasha that I had grown to know and love "You promise you wont leave?" I asked closing my eyes. "Yeah."

Soon after that I fell asleep in the safe arms of Inuyasha. I made a promise right there and then that no matter what, I would help Inuyasha to get his body back so that we could really be together forever.

But little did we know that some one was lurking in the shadows watching us with hatred in their eyes. "You will never have Inuyasha. So enjoy him while you can." The voice said so quietly that even Inuyasha's ears didn't even hear the threat.

AN, So, how was that? I what to mainly place the next chapter around coming back to the school and Sango meeting Miroku. Finding out why Kagome shuddered when Shippo touched her and what Kouga did to her. That will be so hard to explain but that is what Reviews and e-mail are for right.
