Ch 5: Flying Lessons and Quidditch

“So what did Snape have to say?” Ron asked as Kaela walked up from the dungeons.

“Oh not much, just to show him some respect.” Kaela said, rolling her eyes.

“Feh. He’s the one that needs to show respect.” Inuyasha said as they walked outside for flying lessons.

“Why is that?” Harry asked.

“He just means that in order to get respect he needs to show respect.” Kagome saved.

“Ah Ms. Star, Ms. Higurashi, and Mr. Inuyoukai. Professor Dumbledore needs you in his office.”

Percy said, handing them the notes from Dumbledore.

“But that means they’ll miss the flying lesson.” Ron said, looking from Percy to their new friends.

“Its alright. We’ll just have to learn some other time.” Kaela smiled as they walk toward Professor Dumbledore’s office.

“What do you think Dumbledore wants?” Kagome asked as they started down the hall, toward the gargoyle.

“Feh, who knows?”

“Oh come on, Inuyasha. We can learn a lot from him.” Kaela said as Kagome opened the passage to the stairs.

“Enter.” After they knocked on the door.

“Hello Professor. Did you need us for something?” Kagome asked as Kaela closed the door.

“Ah, yes. It would seem someone is after the ‘secret’ that lays in this castle.” Dumbledore explained.

“What secret?” Inuyasha asked, confused as ever.

“He’s talking about the Sorcerer’s Stone. Right, Professor?” Kaela said.

“That’s correct, Kaela. I would like the two of you to keep an eye out.”

“We will, sir.” Kagome smiled.

“Oh, Kagome, you have a special task while Kaela and Inuyasha are guarding the third floor corridor.” Dumbledore explained.

“All right. What do I have to do?”

“Keep Mr. Potter and his friends away from it.”

“Yes, sir.”

“I’m sure if you hurry, you’ll be able to catch the last part of the flying lessons.” Dumbledore smiled as they left.

“Come on. There will be more flying lessons. We can always go to them.” Kagome smiled.

“Kag, think about it. Why would we need to fly on brooms?” Kaela asked.

“Because to fit in the wizarding world, you must be able to fly on a broom.” Kagome explained.

“Feh.”

“Just come on you two.” Kaela smiled and ran off to the main entrance with Inuyasha and

Kagome behind her.

Just as they arrived, Malfoy was teasing Harry and he had Neville’s Remembrall.

“What’s going on, Ron?” Kagome asked as they joined the others.

“Neville broke his wrist and Madam Hooch took him to the hospital wing. Malfoy started laughing then picked up the Remembrall and Harry’s trying to get it back.” Ron explained as they watched Malfoy and Harry.

“Sounds like someone just has problems.” Inuyasha smirked.

“I wouldn’t talk if I were you.” Malfoy sneered.

“What’s that suppose to mean?” Inuyasha yelled back, cracking his knuckles.

“That’s enough, both of you.” Kaela said, never taking her eyes off Malfoy.

“Go fetch, Potter.” Malfoy threw the Remembrall and Harry zoomed after it. Malfoy landed and Kaela walked up him. He had a charming smile on while Kaela smiled sweetly at him then, out of nowhere, she slapped him.

“You’re gonna get it now.” Inuyasha laughed.

“Shut up Inuyasha or you’ll get it.” Kaela warned as she turned her back on Malfoy. Just then, Harry came back with the Remembrall in his hand.

“HARRY POTTER!”

“Never in my life as a teacher here have I ever seen something like that. Follow me Mr. Potter.”

“Nice knowin’ ya, Potter.” Malfoy sneered.

~*~Later that Evening~*~

“No way. You’re on the Gryffindor Quidditch team. That’s amazing.” Ron said excitedly.

“Yea, it is.” Harry smiled.

“The youngest seeker ever in Hogwarts history.” Hermione said. “You know your father was Gryffindor seeker.”

“Really?” Harry asked.

“Yup.” Hermione smiled.

“What was really amazing was the way Kaela slapped Malfoy. Priceless.” Ron laughed.

“Speaking of Kaela, where is she?” Harry asked.

“She probably went to see Dumbledore again.” Kagome covered. “Well, I’m going to bed. Night.”

“Night.”

“I might as well go to bed too. Night.” Inuyasha said as he climbed the stairs to the boys’ dorm.

“They have the right idea. Goodnight you two.” Hermione said as she headed for her dorm.

“We might as well head off to bed too.” Ron yawned.

“Yea.”
