“So that's what happened.” Kagome handed Ramen to Shippo. “But what I can't understand is why time traveled so fast in their world?”

“Maybe in each realm time travels differently. I think I remember Sun mentioning that each realm is similar but the different. Like parallel worlds or something like that. Maybe that's why time travels faster in your time Kagome then it does here.” Miroku sipped his tea as he thought of the young ones.

“It sound like ye made some strong allies.” The group nodded. Shippo looked up at Kagome.

“Kagome, what was it like there?” Kagome smiled at Shippo.

“It was beautiful.”

“Ye miss them?” Kagome looked at Keade.

“Yes. I miss them very much.” Kagome stood up. “Well I think I should be heading home.”

“Kagome can we come with you?” Sango stood up.

“Sure. Shippo you stay here with Kaede and Kirara; we'll be back later tomorrow.” Kagome and the others walked out of the hut and headed down the trail towards the well. The walk was in silence as the group still pondered over what happened to them. At the well Kagome looked at Sango and Miroku. “We should go in groups of two so that way we know we make it.” Everyone nodded in agreement. Inuyasha scooped up Kagome and jumped into the well causing the glowing lights to appear and disappear as they emerged on the other side of the well.

“We have to tell your mother about us.” Kagome nodded as Inuyasha jumped out of the well. The lights at the bottom of the well appeared again and revealed Sango and Miroku at the bottom. Sango and Miroku quickly climbed the rope ladder to join Inuyasha and Kagome.

“Welcome to my home.” Kagome lead them out of the well house to see her grandfather sweeping the grounds.

“Kagome, you're home.”

“Hi grandpa. This is Sango and Miroku.” Kagome's grandfather bowed.

“A monk pleasure to meet you maybe I can show you some of my charms.”

“Grandpa.” Kagome grabbed Sango's hand and lead her towards the house. “You can me my mom and Souta.” Kagome opened the door and removed her shoes. “Mom! I'm home!”

“Kagome, glad you're home dear. Inuyasha good to see you as well. And who are your friends dear?”

“This is Sango and Miroku.” Kagome's mom bowed to them.

“So glad to meet you both I've heard so much about the two of you. Would you like something to eat?”

“No thank you Mrs. Higurashi.”

“Mom Inuyasha and I need to talk to you.” Kagome looked at Sango.

“Miroku and I will look around outside while the three of you talk.” Sango grabbed Miroku's hand leading him back out side. Kagome sat down at the table soon followed by Inuyasha to her right and her mother across from her.

“Mom I have something very important to tell you. Um…Inuyasha and I are…” Kagome had a hard time looking at her mother.

“Mrs. Higurashi, Kagome and I are mates.” Kagome looked at Inuyasha.

“Mates?”

“It's kind of like marriage in demon terms mom.” Kagome moved her shirt revealing the silver mark on her neck. “I'm sorry we didn't talk to you first but we kind of were out of this world.”

“So this means that I'll have grandkids with those cute ears?”

“It is possible Mrs. Higurashi.” Kagome's mom stood up and hugged her daughter.

“I'm sorry happy for you two but I do expect you to finish school Kagome, and I want a wedding for the family later. Do you both understand?”

“Oh mom!” Kagome started to cry as she hugged her mother.

“And no more of this Mrs. Higurashi. Call me mom Inuyasha.”

“Yes, Mrs. Hig…I mean mom.”

“Well I believe we have to tell your grandfather the good news and we can't forget about Souta.” Mrs. Higurashi quickly headed out of the house to find her father.

“So you see that is why the Higurashi's have been the keepers of the Temple for hundreds of years. Ah, Satsuke what seems to be the problem?”

“Father Kagome and Inuyasha a married…well sort of married, but I'm going to have grandchildren with cute dog ears.”

“Congratulations Kagome. I knew that you two would end up together but it sure did take you two long enough.” Souta looked at his mother.

“Mom does this mean that Inuyasha is my brother?”

“Yes Souta it does.”

“Yes! This is so cool.” Souta jumped in the air with excitement.

“Take it easy kid.” Inuyasha smiled as Kagome grabbed his hand.

“Well why don't we get dinner ready and talk about this more later and Kagome why don't you take Sango to clean up and let her borrow some of your clothes.” Kagome nodded as she lead Sango back into the house. `This is too perfect.'
