CHAPTER 3

 

Summary: Cloud, Aeris, and the Inu gang get to know each other. And a fight scene.

 

Cloud, Aeris, and the Inu gang decided to set up camp in a clearing in the forest. Kagome and Sango went to get firewood while Aeris decided to check if Cloud had any wounds. Inuyasha just stared at them while Miroku and Shippo were having a conversation about girls. And Kiara was taking a nap. As soon as Kagome and Sango returned with the firewood and started a fire they decided to get to know each other,

 

“So who is going to go first?” Kagome asked.

 

“We will if you don't mind.” Aeris said.

 

“Sure.” Kagome said.

 

“Well we are from a alternate universe.”

 

“An alternate universe?” Kagome questioned.

 

“Yeah, anyway while we were in our alternate universe we fought a man named Sephiroth. He thought of himself of a superior being, being a man with Jenova cells in his body.” Cloud frowned at this.

 

“Jenova?” Kagome asked.

 

“Jenova was a being in the past, way in the past she sought to destroy the Ancients. I am also an Ancient myself. But sadly the Ancients died by a mysterious disease. Not many survived. The only one I do know that survived was my mother. But after she died. I became the only Ancient, but soon I died.”

 

“So your dead?” Inuyasha asked.

 

“Yes. But I came to back to help Cloud. See, Cloud is also infused with Jenova cells. Sephiroth had some control over Cloud. Cloud would sometimes faint or just give into the control, like he did at the Ancients Temple, and attacked me. That bond with Sephiroth will always be there. But Cloud I need to tell you something. Sephiroth is not dead.”

 

“What do you mean!? I killed him myself!” Cloud was shocked.

 

“Sorry, but Naroku transported him to his castle and quickly healed his wounds. He is now under Naroku's control.” Cloud clenched his fist.

 

“Fine I'll do it again.” Silence filled the forest, the animals no longer rustled in the forest, crickets no longer chirped.

 

“Okay, are you ready to hear our story?” Kagome asked.

 

“You don't have to tell us since I was already dead and heard about all of you. I can tell Cloud.” Aeris said.

 

“You sure?”

 

“Yes.”

 

“Well I guess we should get some sleep.” Kagome said. Cloud got up after hearing this and walked off.

 

“What is wrong with him?” Inuyasha asked.

 

“I left out a part in the story. He was in a group called Soldier. He was in Sephiroth's command and they went to Cloud's hometown. After Sephiroth found out Jenova was his mother but it really wasn't his mother, he destroyed Cloud's hometown, killed everyone, and almost killed a girl named Tifa, Cloud's childhood friend. Cloud thought he killed Sephiroth that day but Sephiroth seems to like faking his death.”

 

“Seems like you guys have been through a lot.” Sango said.

 

“So have all of you. So don't worry about anything.”Aeris replied letting out a weak smile.

 

“Well goodnight.” Miroku said.

 

“Goodnight.” Aeris said. And soon every one fell asleep. Except Inuyasha.

Cloud walked through the forest still shocked about what he had heard.

 

“Hello Cloud.” A mysterious voice said.

 

“Where are you?” Cloud asked the mysterious voice.

 

“Why can't you remember my voice?”

 

“Sephiroth?”

 

“Correct.” Sephiroth appeared out of the shadows. Cloud pulled out his Buster Sword and Sephiroth took out his massamune. The fight began.

Everyone woke up. Something just wanted them to get up.

 

“Where is Cloud?” Aeris was getting impatient and worried.

 

“I'm sure he will be all right.” Kagome said.

 

“Yeah but he usually comes back.”

 

“Do you like him?” Kagome asked.

 

Aeris just blushed and stared into the woods.

 

“So you do like him.” Kagome let out a devilish grin.

 

“We could never be together, I am dead, besides he likes Tifa.”

 

“He likes both of you I can tell. It is a love triangle.”

 

“I think he will choose no one.” Inuyasha said.

 

“INUYASHA!” Kagome exclaimed.

 

“He will probably choose no one because he wants to see no one hurt.” Inuyasha Continued.

 

“I think your right.” Aeris said.

 

A blinding light flashed into the woods.

 

“Wow, what was that?” Sango asked.

 

“Cloud!” Aeris ran into the woods.

 

“Wait!” Kagome and the rest quickly followed Aeris.

 

`It is just like me Inuyasha and Kikyou.' Kagome thought trying to catch up to Aeris.

 

Aeris came across a fight between Sephiroth and Cloud.

 

“It is Sephiroth!”

 

Kagome caught up with Aeris. And noticed the fight between the two men.

 

“So that's Sephiroth?” Kagome said.

 

Aeris nodded in response. At that moment Sephiroth charged towards Aeris and held his massamune out to stab Aeris. Cloud quickly jumped in front Aeris and got stab himself.

 

“CLOUD!” Aeris caught Cloud and held him.

 

“I'll be leaving now.” Sephiroth said grinning at Cloud. Sephiroth then just disappeared. Cloud tried to get up and chase after him but Aeris held him down.

 

“Please Cloud we need to treat your wounds.” Aeris said. Tears were welling up in her eyes. Cloud stopped trying to get up and just stopped struggling with her and passed out.
