Everything was burnt to ashes, the sheds, the grass, especially the house; including the basement. Everything was now just ashes, including the belongings in each shed, and also in the house. People, dressed in black surrounded the tattered remains of what was once a happy home. Everyone was crying, including the adult men, they tried to fight back the tears, but it was no use. Almost everyone had a connection to the people who lived here, including the minister. Even the cats; Punkie, Gizzie and Yuushokuu were in front of the house, they were in the front row. But there was also an other cat, strange in fact, was a little different than any other cat, it had two, wide tails, it's fur was black, and had gray tips on it's tail, paws, ears and a gray collar. And it had green eyes, almost neon, and the pupils were always slits, and staring, always staring, but this time they were crying.
"Ashes to ashes, and dust to dust. May their souls rise to a greater place, and their bodies rest in harmony" the minister said, and closed his black, tear-stained book. "If anyone has anything to add, please come forth and speak" he added, and then walked back to the crowd.
Nobody moved, not even one step forward from anyone. They all stood silent, only the sound of sobbing, the sad songs of the birds and choir, and the silent steady flow of the wind. Finally, the odd cat walked up and walked to where the minister was, stopped, and faced the crowd.
The crowd started to rant, "Why! That cat can't talk! It barely even meows!"
"Is this some kind of joke?!"
"You've gotta be kidding me!"
"Alright little kitty, come with me" the minister said, bending over to pick up Sesshari.
"Let him speak" a boy's voice said.
The crowd stopped talking. The minister went back to the crowd and stood quietly, but embarrassed.
Black fire surrounded Sesshari, and it grew bigger. The people screamed in fright. The fire cleared and a bigger, tiger-sized cat appeared where the smaller cat was. Black flames flickered from its paws and tail.
"Oh my god! It’s a creature from the devil!"
"What is it doing here?!"
"Protect the children!"
"SILENCE!" Sesshari roared, and the crowd went silent. "I come here today, to tell you how the rise and fall of these lives went, from the beginning to the end." the people gathered around Sesshari, out of curiosity, like kids listening to a story, they wanted to know what REALLY happened.
