InuYasha Fan Fiction / Fullmetal Alchemist Fan Fiction ❯ Full Metal Kagome ❯ awakenings and explantions ( Chapter 2 )
[ Y - Young Adult: Not suitable for readers under 16 ]
WOW I certainly didn't expect that I've seen way better authors then me have to threaten their readers with a fan fic discontinuation before they actually leave a review.
Kagome Lady of Darkness- Congratulations if your still reading, you're my first reviewer (sets off fireworks, gives his cat a kiss) What? I wouldn't have cat in my name if I didn't like them.
Any of you can drop me an email if you ever put out a fic, I'd be more than happy to read it.
Unfortunately it took longer then I wanted to be able to update…I don't know if you guys do semesters in the US (most people reading this are probably from there) but we do in Nova Scotia. It's a lot more work because we take four classes and do the years work in a half-year then take four more courses for the next half. Basically it means I get a huge amount of projects, no time to do them and only 16 weeks to learn what you guys get a year to learn. Plus FMA is only on once per week for me Friday at 11(which is my only evening off) so I plan on watching it as the ones I watched to write this fic were subtitled, choppy, out of order and on a 6 inch square screen… Ick.
I dedicate this chapter to my first reviewer Kagome Lady of Darkness.
“Yes Mrs. Higurashi the procedure was a complete success, your daughter is fine and should be waking up in about an hour. The Spanish surgeon pushed her glasses back up her nose and rolled her eyes when Akina started sniffling and Ed rushed forward with a Kleenex. Some people are never satisfied. She spun on her heels and walked off towards her quarters.
`'Kikyo, watch out!'' Inuyasha shouted.
Kikyo was standing on a large boulder firing arrows at thousands of Naraku's minor demons, Inuyasha, Sango and Miroku were fighting with Naraku and it was obvious they were overpowering him. Naraku struck out blindly with some tentacles looking for Inuyasha's woman, no one was going to be happy if he was going to die he'd make sure of that. It was obvious that Kikyo hadn't heard him, she didn't acknowledge him at all, and he was to far away to help. Sesshomaru was fighting with Kanna and some other creatures Naraku had cooked up just for this fight several miles away.
“WIND SCAR!'' If he was going to save Kikyo he'd have to kill Naraku, now.
Dust and miasma cast up by the impact of his attack effectively blinded and choked him, Sango and Miroku. Inuyasha heard a scream but he couldn't make out what was said. Sango, Miroku and Inuyasha charged through the dust coming upon a sight more tragic and touching then any of them had ever witnessed…
Kagome heard Inuyasha's warning, she also noticed Kikyo didn't, she raced towards Kikyo intent on saving her somehow. Kagome intersected the tentacles mere feet from their destination they wrapped around her arm and leg swinging her into the air.
Kikyo fired one more arrow and spun around, Kagome was dangling from Naraku's tentacles meters above her. “Kagome, hold on!''
“WIND SCAR!” Kikyo heard the call of Inuyasha's trademark attack, she watched as it slammed into Naraku's body and he screamed his body jerking and convulsing in it's last seconds of life. Kagome screamed as Naraku's tentacles wiped her around before traveling in opposite directions and ripped her arm and leg from her body, showering Kikyo's horrified face with blood…
What awaited Inuyasha, Sango and Miroku when the cleared the dust was Kikyo trying to wrap Kagome's leg and arm to stem the blood flow, while Kagome twitched and screamed before passing out…

(Little graphic there I was going for that effect though, I wanted to show that Kikyo and Kagome have developed a bond)
Kagome sat straight up in her bed, gasping for breath, she almost managed to fall out of bed but stopped herself and looked around, that right I met this guy named Edward… An Alchemist he said that the military could give me back my limbs… I had an operation. Kagome reached out to the table beside her to grab her watch, lets see, I arrived here on the twelfth spent nine days here before Edward showed up, I was operated on that night and today's the fourteenth. I've been asleep for two days. Kagome's eyes snapped open when she realized that the arm she had grabbed her watch with wasn't flesh coloured. (Ops Canadian, I spell bloody strange, and talk.) It was gray or silver in the light, it was metal.
`'Edward, Inuyasha, Kagome's room should be right down here.” Akina eased open the door and walked in. Kagome was just around the corner from the entry area to the room she had a bath robe on that the hospital had provided.
Akina ran forward to hug Kagome, “How are you feeling dear does it hurt, what does it look like, is your arm to heavy.” Kagome reached up to hug her mom back, “thanks for asking mom, it's fine though.''
Akina pushed her out an arms length away from her and rolled up her sleeve, Inuyasha gazed over her shoulder curiosity evident in his gaze as he looked at the metal limb. Edward stepped up beside him, “she'll be able to run much faster now and Kagome should be almost as strong as me, once she learns some alchemy she will truly be a force to be reckoned with. We don't have to worry about that now though, you have been given two months leave to do as you wish as long as I accompany you.”
Kagome looked at Inuyasha and her mother, “I want to see everyone.”
Inuyasha looked nervous, “that would mean telling Edward, Kagome.” Her mother gently replied.
“Ed is an Alchemist, chances are he sees all sorts of strange things, isn't that right Ed?” Kagome looked around her mom towards the Alchemist in question. “Of course I do but there isn't anything strange about wanting to see your friends is there?”
Kagome grinned, “Well Ed it all started on my fifteenth birthday…

Honestly I could get Kagome to explain all of this to Ed but I'd rather just pick up afterwards next chapter. I'm starting the third right now and I apologize to anyone reading for slow updates, they'll be faster by the end of June since I'll be out of school.
